RESUMO
Anaphylaxis is a severe systemic reaction due to hypersensitivity reactions. The prognosis is threatened by the double risk of airway obstruction and collapse. The need for rapid diagnosis and early treatment represent a challenge for the medical staff. The use of a new diagnostic criteria and classification of this reaction help to standardize the treatment. This is based on the administration of epinephrine and vascular filling. The titration of epinephrine depending on the grade of gravity allows controlling the side effects

Systematic practice of Pap smears permits, in addition to screening cervical intraepithelial lesions, the detection of microorganisms responsible of gynecologic infections and their treatment. The screening of lesions caused by human papillomavirus is of great importance seeing the incrimation of this virus in the genesis of cervical cancer. Among 3482 Pap smears received during the last 2 years and examined in the Pathological department of the Salah Azaiez Institute, 319 comprise pathogenic agents. They represent 9,16% of all the Pap smears. The trichomonas vaginalis is the most frequent with 52,3% of all the pathogenic agents. Lesions caused by human papillomavirus are found in only, 0,17% of smears. This frequency is very low compared with that of countries where screening mass is practiced and where morales are liberal
