RESUMO

The full knowledge of the neoplasic affection and the side effects of the antineoplastic drugs is required to take over the security of the patient in the perioperative period. This has been made necessary by the interactions between the anesthetic drugs and the antineoplastic therapeutics. Surgery must not be a break in the cancer therapy

RESUMO

Clinical data were investigated in a retrospective study of 27 cases of near- drowning. The mortality of 14% of the patients depends on the cerebral lesions due to hypoxemia. Any correlation between mortality and severity of pulmonary lesions is found. So, prognosis depends mainly on the initial care where correct reoxygenation must be the basic action to avoid irreversible cerebral lesions and death
