Congenital dislocation of knee: MRI diagnosis in a baby two days old

The case of a two days old female baby with congenital dislocation of left knee is presented, which was detected on observing abnormal passive movements. Clinical examination, plain X-rays, ultrasound and MRI examination was carried out. Closed reduction with anterior cast immobilization was performed and the patient followed up with X-rays upto two months

Tumoral calcinosis

Precise histopathological diagnosis is crucial, as the management of such a tumor is successful if appropriately treated. Analgesia quality achieved by buprenorphine hcl as compared to diclofenac sodium in postoperative orthopaedic patients

This study was conducted to compare the quality of analgesia achieved by buprenorphine [2.5-4.0 ug/kg body weight I.M] and diclofenac sodium [75 mg I.M] in post-operative pain. This was an open, comparative trial and patients were randomly allocated in the post-operative period, once they started complaining of pain. The buprenohine group achieved analgesia quicker which also lasted longer as compared to diclofenac group.
