Contribution of MR imaging in the follow-up of monochorial gemellar pregnancies with a single twin death

We studied five cases of monochorial pregnancies complicated by a single intrauterine death. Our purpose was to evaluate the contribution of MR imaging in the evaluation of perinatal hypoxic-ischemic cerebral injury in the surviving twin compared with ante and postnatal ultrasonography findings. Intrauterine death of one twin occurred at a mean of 28 week's gestation. MRI was performed three weeks after. In all cases, there was no neurological lesions.
