RESUMO
This paper aims to enlighten the establishment of medical legislations and regulation of medical conduct in Iraq, starting from the Abbasid era around 7-8 century to the beginning of modern medical associations around the 20[th] century and focusing on the role of Iraqi doctors who pioneered the Arab experience in establishing medical association, that set the standards of practice which are applied and reputed in the Arab world until now

Tuberculosis is a major health problem in Iraq, one of the measures taken to reduce it was the mass radiography survey, in 1956 examination of selected groups of the population reported that 2.8% had pathological shadows [AI-Mufti, 1977]. Tuberculous victims are usually secondary to primary tuberculosis focus in the body, but unveal tuberculosis is still rare in active pulmonary tuberculosus [Vaughan and Asbury, 1977]. Therefore to assess the degree of eye involvement in the tuberculous process this study was conducted on 150 patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis receiving antituberculosiu therapy
