RESUMO
Ketamine-thiopental anesthesia was tried on 36 dogs subjected to various surgical interferences. The animals were high-risk patients because of their poor general condition or advanced age associated with kidney/or cardiac troubles. Oral surgery together with dental operations were successfully fully performed on six dogs. This form of combination anesthesia preceded by administration of atropine sulfate and an appropriate tranquilizer proved to be safe and satisfactory
