RESUMO
Atualmente, vem crescendo o número de encaminhamentos de crianças aos serviços de saúde mental. Estas são geralmente levadas às instituições por seus pais e/ou cuidadores, sendo que muitos chegam relatando aos profissionais comportamentos que não estariam de acordo com o que é considerado "normal" e buscando possíveis soluções para suas queixas em relação aos filhos. Partindo de uma prática vivenciada dentro Serviço de Psicologia Aplicada (SPA) da Unicatólica de Quixadá, percebeu - se que as crianças são o maior número de clientes atendidos pelo serviço. Dito isto, esse trabalho objetivou compreender os significados atribuídos pelos cuidadores ao adoecimento psíquico de seus filhos. Para chegar a essa compreensão, foram realizadas cinco entrevistas semiestruturadas durante o mês de agosto de 2017 com cuidadores que buscaram atendimento no SPA da Unicatólica. Essas entrevistas foram analisadas de acordo com o método de Bardin. Diante dos resultados obtidos, notou se que a percepção dos pais sobre o adoecimento infantil é influenciada por distintos fatores culturais e sociais conceituando o adoecimento sob diversas perspectivas, significando os comportamentos infantis a partr de sua percepção e, através desta, criam expectativas em torno das possibilidades de tratamento.
The number of referrals from children to mental health services is increasing. These are usually brought to the institutions by their parents and / or caregivers, many of whom arrive by reporting to practitioners behaviors that would not be in accordance with what is considered "normal" and seeking possible solutions to their grievances regarding their children. Based on a practice that has been experienced in Quixadá's Unicatólica Applied Psychology Service, it has been noticed that the demand for children's psychological services has grown considerably in the last few semesters, being these children the largest number of clients served by the service. That said, this work aimed to understand the meanings attributed by caregivers to the psychic illness of their children. To reach this understanding, five semi structured interviews were conducted during August 2017 with caregivers who sought care for their children at the Unicatólica SPA. These interviews were transcribed and from that realized the Analysis of Content of Bardin on top of the collected content. In view of the results obtained, it was noticed that the parents' perception about the illness of their children is influenced by cultural and social factors. These conceptualize and look at illness in different ways, meaning children's behaviors from their perception and, through it, create expectations around the possibilities of treatment.
