RESUMO
Introdução - O uso do álcool preocupa os profissionais da Saúde, o consumo abusivo acarreta altos custos para o governo e para sociedade em geral. Diante desta situação pergunta-se: como a enfermagem ajuda este indivíduo em sua recuperação? O objetivo deste estudo é discutir estratégias, baseadas em evidências, da atuação do profissional de enfermagem no atendimento do paciente etilista. Material e Método - Trata-se de um estudo de revisão da literatura, utilizando-se páginas oficiais na Internet, teses, livros e bases de dados LILACS, BDENF e PERIENF, no período de 1997 a 2005. Resultados - O enfermeiro participa de programas de atendimento ao paciente etilista, utiliza testes específicos para detecção do problema e propõe intervenções visando resultados satisfatórios na recuperação do indivíduo. Conclusão - A consulta de enfermagem é utilizada para abordar o problema e utilizando-se da empatia e buscando sensibilizar o indivíduo para o tratamento.
Introduction - The alcohol usage worries the health professionals of the health. The abusive consumption in general causes high costs for the government and society in general. Before this situation, the question is: how the nursing helps this individual in its recovery? The objective of this study is to discuss strategies, based on evidences, the nursing professional's performance in the attendance of the alcoholic patient. Material and Methods - This is about a revision of literature study, using an official page in the Internet, thesis, books and databases LILACS, BDENF and PERIENF, in the period of 1997 to 2005. Results - The nurse participates of attendance programs to the alcoholic patient, uses specific tests for the problem detention and interventions with satisfactory results in the individual recovering. Conclusion - The nursing consultation is used to approach the problem and through the empathy, to sensitize the individual for the treatment.
