RESUMO

The aim of the present study was to determine the frequency and age-specific incidence rate of different histopathologic subtypes of breast cancer in Iran, and compare it to neighboring and Western countries and to discuss the probable effective main factors. National data from cancer registry for 6265 female breast cancer patients were studied in 10 histopathologic groups. The most common tumor was ductal carcinoma [89%]. The peak age - specific incidence rate of breast cancer in total, and for epithelial, non-epithelial and ductal carcinomas were all 50-59 years, and it decreased in older age. It is in contrast to US SEER report which shows the incidence increases in higher age. Three main factors including younger age of Iranian patients, probable more ERN tumors and different histopathological profile of breast cancer in Iran might be considered and studied to explain different slope of breast cancer after menopause compared to other countries

Sometimes first trimester Vaginal bleeding occurs due to multiple unknown factors but don't terminate the pregnancy. Outcomes of these Pregnancies are the subject of debate .This study estimates the outcomes in these Pregnancies, which might be complicated with first trimester vaginal bleeding. This was a prospective cohort study. 236 cases included women gravid 1, 2 with a history of first trimester vaginal bleeding and delivery after 28 weeks of gestational age admitted to Imam Hossein hospital during 1388, 1390. Control group included 944 women gravid 1, 2 without any history of first trimester vaginal bleeding within the same period of time. Data were analyzed was used to estimate relative risk [R.R] and 95% confidence intervals [95%CI]. Compared with the control group [n=944] women with a history of first trimester vaginal bleeding [n=236] were more likely to have, premature rupture of membranes [R.R=7/5, CI 95%], gestational hypertension [R.R=4/8, CI 95%], abruption [R.R=4/5, CI 95%], low birth weight [R.R=1/9, CI 95%], intra uterine growth restriction [R.R=2/7, CI 95%], Apgar at 5 minute <7 [R.R=3/4, CI 95%], admission to NICU [R.R=4/3, CI 95%]. It seems that first trimester vaginal bleeding has affected complications of late pregnancy of mother and infant. The effect of interventions in pregnant women with first trimester bleeding are recommended in the prevention and reduction of late complications.
