RESUMO
Mycotic infection of the external auditory canal is called otomycosis. It is a saprophytic growth of fungi. One hundred and thirty two patients were evaluated who are suspected to have Otomycosis on initial diagnosis. The material taken from the external auditory canal was examined under the light microscope and then by fungal culture, which recalled 32% of the cases were due to Aspergilli and 11% were Candida Albicans. In otomycosis, to diagnose is still a problem without culture. The patients are treated with imidasol type antimycotics
RESUMO
A patient with neurilemmoma arising from the crevical vagus nerve is described and management discussed, as tumors originating from this site are seen very infrequently. The recommended treatment for this tumor is complete surgical excision while preserving the nerve and nerve grafting whenever necessary
