RESUMO

Aortic dissection, especially Stanford type A aortic dissection, is an acutely progressive and highly fatal cardiovascular disease.Early prevention and timely treatment can greatly reduce mortality and reduce the burden on families and society.However, due to the etiological mechanism is still unclear, the clinical treatment is still mainly surgery, and the early prevention and drug application are very limited.And some recent studies have found that ferroptosis may play an important role in the occurrence and development of aortic dissection, revealing the relationship between them may provide ideas for the prevention, treatment and scientific research of the disease.

Both cholinergic dysfunction and protein citrullination are the hallmarks of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but the relationship between the two phenomena remains unclear. We explored whether and how cholinergic dysfunction accelerates protein citrullination and consequently drives the development of RA. Cholinergic function and protein citrullination levels in patients with RA and collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mice were collected. In both neuron-macrophage coculture system and CIA mice, the effect of cholinergic dysfunction on protein citrullination and expression of peptidylarginine deiminases (PADs) was assessed by immunofluorescence. The key transcription factors for PAD4 expression were predicted and validated. Cholinergic dysfunction in the patients with RA and CIA mice negatively correlated with the degree of protein citrullination in synovial tissues. The cholinergic or alpha7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (α7nAChR) deactivation and activation resulted in the promotion and reduction of protein citrullination in vitro and in vivo, respectively. Especially, the activation deficiency of α7nAChR induced the earlier onset and aggravation of CIA. Furthermore, deactivation of α7nAChR increased the expression of PAD4 and specificity protein-3 (SP3) in vitro and in vivo. Our results suggest that cholinergic dysfunction-induced deficient α7nAChR activation, which induces the expression of SP3 and its downstream molecule PAD4, accelerating protein citrullination and the development of RA.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of 1 064 nm/755 nm dual wavelength laser on hair removal.Methods:A total of 60 patients aged 18-52 (30±7) years in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2017 were collected. 1 064 nm and 755 nm laser hair removal was performed at the same symmetrical areas or two different areas in the same patient. We performed 6 sessions of laser treatment at 6-week intervals and the effect was evaluated 6 weeks after the last session.Results:The hair removal efficacy was 96.7% (58 cases) at 1 064 nm, 96.7% (58 cases) at 755 nm laser treatment. There was no significant difference in the effective rate between two wavelengths laser hair removal methods ( P>0.05). The incidence of pigmentation was 1.7% (1 case) at 1 064 nm laser and was 3.3% (2 cases) at 755 nm laser without significant difference ( P>0.05). No hypopigmentation, blister or scar appeared in all patients. The total satisfactory rate was 95.0% (57 cases) at 1 064 nm, 98.3% (59 cases) at 755 nm laser treatment, respectively. Conclusions:1 064 nm/755 nm dual wavelength laser has definite therapeutic effect and safety on hair removal.

RESUMO

At present, the incidence and mortality of cancers are increasing year by year, which has become a major global public health problem and the main cause of death of global population. In recent years, studies have shown that branched-chain amino acids levels play an important part in the incidence and prognosis of some malignant tumors, such as colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer and so on. Therefore, this article summarizes the studies on the relationship between the level of branched-chain amino acids and cancers, providing clues for further exploration of the correlation between the two.

Insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)is the main mediator of growth hormone to promote growth, and it plays an important role in the growth and metabolism of normal tissues.A reasonable diet is essential for the growth and development of adolescents.Dietary nutrients are absorbed and metabolized in the body, exert various physiological functions, and affect the growth and development of adolescents.Therefore, it is important to clarify the impact of various dietary nutrients on IGF-1 for the benefit of adolescents′ growth and development.This article reviews the recent research progress on the correlation between various nutrients in the diet and the serum IGF-1 levels.

Objective: To compare the curative effects and adverse reactions of fractional carbondioxide laser combined with tacrolimus ointment and tacrolimus ointment alone in the treatment of localized vitiligo, and to evaluate their safeties. Methods: The clinical materials of 98 patients with localized vitiligo were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into two groups according to their wishes. The patients in control group (47 cases) were treated with tacrolimus ointment every morning and evening only, and the patients in observation group (51 cases) were treated with fractional carbondioxide laser combined with tacrolimus ointment and the laser was used once every 4 weeks. The treatment lasted for 12 weeks. Compound Glycyrrhizin Tablets were used according to the conditions (3 pieces each time, 3 times a day, a total of 12 weeks). The follow-up period was once every 2 weeks. The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the patients in two groups were assessed in the 12th weeks after treatment. Results: The onset time of treatment of the patients in observation group was shorter than that in control group (t=13. 82, P=0. 001), and the total effective rate of the patients in observation group was higher than that in control group (χ2 = 4. 72, P<0. 05). The effective rates of the faciocervical lesion of the patients in observation group and control group were higher than those of the trunk lesion (χ2 = 23. 78, P<0. 05; % = 12. 79, P<0. 05). The effective rate of the faciocervical lesion of the patients in observation group was higher than that in control group (χ2= 5.75, P< 0. 05); there were no serious adverse reactions in all patients. Conclusion: The combination of fractional carbondioxide laser and tacrolimus ointment in the treatment of localized vitiligo has the advantages of quick effect, good efficacy and high safety, and is worthy of clinical application.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical therapeutic efficacy and safety of red-blue light irradiation combined with Xihuang Capsules in the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris.Methods:Eighty patients with moderate to severe acne vulgaris were randomly divided into Xihuang Capsules group (control group)and red-blue light irradiation combined with Xihuang Capsules group (observation group).The patients in observation group were treated with red-blue light irradiation (20 min biw,4 weeks)combined with Xihuang Capsules (1.5 g bid,4 weeks),while the patients in control group took only Xihuang Capsules orally (1.5 g bid,4 weeks),The changes of skin lesions and adverse reactions were observed and the curative efficacies were compared at 2 or 4 weeks after treatment.Results:After 2-week-treatment,the total effective rate in observation group was 67.5% while the total effective rate in control group was 52.5%,there was no statistically significant difference between two groups (P >0.05).The regression number of inflammatory and non-inflammatory skin lesions in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group (P <0.05).After 4-week-treatment,the total effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group (85.0% vs 65.0% ),and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05);the regression number of inflammatory and non-inflammatory skin lesions in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group (P <0.05).During the treatment,there were no severe adverse reactions in two groups.Mild headache and nausea occurred in observation group after red-blue light irradiation,but the above symptoms disappeared after reducing the irradiation dose.Conclusion:Red-blue light irradiation combined with Xihuang Capsules in the treatment of moderate to severe acne is proved to be a significantly effective and safe method,and it is worth to be promoted in clinic.

BACKGROUND:Currently, cellular composition and the features of the nucleus pulposus are stil not to be clarified. OBJECTIVE:To establish the in vitro culture system of rat nucleus pulposus-derived mesenchymal stem cells and to identify their multi-lineage differentiation potential. METHODS:Mesenchymal stem cells from the nucleus pulposus tissues of Sprague-Dawley rats were cultured in vitro. Then, cells at passage 3 were induced to differentiate into osteoblasts, adipocytes and chondrocytes as experimental group. cells cultured with basic culture medium served as controls. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:cells isolated from rat nucleus pulposus could form the sunflower-like colonies and exhibit clone-like growth when they cultured at a low density. cells at passage 3 became homogeneous and exhibited fibroblast-like morphology. After 28 days of osteogenic induction, arizarin red positive signals were detected in the experimental group. The mRNA expressions of RunX2, osteopontin and osteocalcin were significantly increased in the experimental group, compared to the control group (P<0.05). After 21 days of adipogenic induction, oil red-O positive cells were detected in the experimental group. The mRNA expressions of C/EBPαand PPARγ2 were significantly increased in the experimental group, compared to the control group (P<0.05). After 21 days of chondrogenic induction, safranin O/fast green staining was positive in the experimental group. The mRNA expressions of aggrecan and Col2a1 were significantly increased in the experimental group, compared to the control group (P<0.05). Our findings in this study suggested that nucleus pulposus-derived mesenchymal stem cells could be isolated from the Sprague-Dawley rat nucleus pulposus and exhibited clonal-like growth when they were cultured in vitro. These cells were confirmed to have the potential to differentiate into adipocytes, osteoblasts and chondrocytes in vitro.

In order to study the modulatory effects of compound polysaccharide Erweikang on the immune function of the immunosuppressive mice, the positive immune modulation of Erweikang at different doses and different time points was compared when normal saline and cyclophosphamide served as controls. The results showed that different doses of Erweikang could effectively reverse the decreased induction levels of NK, IL-2, gamma-IFN and the contents of TNF and IgF of the immunosuppressive mice after administration of Erweikang for 7 to 14 days. It was suggested that compound polysaccharide Erweikang presents positive immune modulation in dose- and time-dependent manners.
