The study of the pattern of pulmonary tuberculous TB during the five years 2005-2010 in Damanhour Chest Hospital [DCH] revealed the following: out of 96862 attendants examined by mass minuture radiography [MMR] there were 985 [2.6%] cases were suspected to have pulmonary TB [88.1%] out of 985 were having bronchogenic TB and 117 [11.8%] were having extra pulmonary TB. All of them having pleural effusion only two patients having TB of lumbar spine [Potts disease]. Sputum analysis revealed 698 [0.72%] out of 96862 were positive sputum for acid fast bacilli [AFB] and 287 [0.2%] out of 96862 were sputum negative for [AFB]. Bronchogenic pulmonary TB cases were classified radiologically as unilateral lesion in 975 patients 98.9% and only lo patients 1.1% as bilateral pulmonary TB. The commonest age incidence for pulmonary TB was in the age group 16-30 years 473 [46.7%] out of 985. The study of the epidemiological pattern for TB inpatients presented in the hospital during the study revealed that TB was more prevalent among males age group 16-30 years, lower level of education farmers, sailer and labourers most of them were smoking especially Goza. The comparative study between these five years find that there was a decrease in the total number of tuberculous patients 7.3%, 4%. 3.1% 0.7% 0.5%. 0.5% respectively .Also this study showed that males 675 [69%] were more prone to TB infection than the females
