Rectorragia intermitente por Hemangioma Difuso de recto / Intermittent rectal bleeding by Sharp straight Hemangioma

El hemangioma difuso de recto es una rara lesión vascular benigna. Presentamos el caso de un varón de 30 años con sangrado rectal intermitente de 2 años de evolución y síntomasrelacionados a anemia crónica ferropénica. La endoscopia rectal fue interpretada como una lesión epitelial neoplásica maligna que se extendía a través del recto, la biopsia indicóque se trataba de un hemangioma rectal. Se realizó con éxito la resección quirúrgica. El estudio del espécimen quirúrgico concluyó que se trataba de un hemangioma difusode recto.

Diffuse hemangioma of the rectum is a rare benign vascular lesion. The case of a 30 year-oldmale with intermittent rectal bleeding with an evolution of 2 years and symptoms relatedto chronic ferropenic anemia is presented. The rectal endoscopy was interpreted as amalignant neoplastic epithelial lesion spread throughout the rectum. The biopsy indicatedthat it was a rectal hemangioma. A surgical resection was successfully performed. Thestudy of the surgical specimen concluded that it was a diffuse rectal hemangioma.

Uso racional de imágenes en pancreatitis aguda e ictericia obstructiva / Rational use of imaging in acute pancreatitis and obstructive jaundice

La patología biliopancreática es una de las causas más frecuentes de consulta en la especialidad de gastroenterología. En los tiempos actuales esta área del cuerpo humano es explorada por diversas imágenes (US, TAC, RM). El uso de ellas sin una adecuada orientación puede resultar de alto costo y retardo diagnóstico. En este artículo tomamos dos casos clínicos que se presentaron en el Departamento del Aparato Digestivo y con ellos pretendemos facilitar su uso e indicaciones. Al final presentamos algoritmos de diagnóstico para el manejo de este tipo de pacientes.

The biliopancreatic pathology is one of most frequent causes of consultation in the gastroenterology specialty. In the present times this area of the human body is explored by diverse images (U.S., TAC, and RM). The use of them without a suitable direction can be from high cost and retardation diagnosis. In this article we took two clinical cases that they appeared in the Department of the Digestive Apparatus and with them we try to facilitate its use and indications. In the end we presented algorithms of diagnosis for the handling of this type of patients.
