RESUMO

Background: Continuation of previous study of screening traditional medicinal plants with anti-diabetic effect, the hypoglycemic effect of glue extracted from Fructus Lycii which was named HPD was study. Objective: to investigate the hypoglycemic effect of HPD on diabetic mice caused by different doses of streptozocine. Subjects and methods: causing diabetes by streptozocine at difference doses was used to collect glucose intolerance mice, mild diabetic mice and severe diabetic mice. The effect of HPD p.o. at several doses was evaluated after 3 days of use. Results: By oral allocation with the dose of 500 and 1.000mg/kg body-weight for 3 days, HPD inhibited increasing blood glucose in streptozocine-induced glucose intolerance mice (intraperitoneal STZ 100 mg/kg). HPD 1000 mg/kg body weight had the potent hypoglycemic effect on streptozocine-induced diabetic mice, reverse the blood glucose self control ability of mild streptozicine-induced diabetic mice (STZ 120 mg/kg), meanwhile can not stop a hyperglycemic effect of high dose of STZ (STZ 180 mg/kg). Conclusion: HPD has the potent anti-hyperglycemic effect on streptozocine -induced diabetic rats. Anti-hyperglycemic of HPD is indirect under present of insulin
', u'
', u'
', u'

RESUMO

Background: According to traditional medicine, Ganodermataceae has many good effects on such as anti-oxidant, liver protection, sedation, anti-tumor, treatment of dyslipidemia,... Hong chi DaLat ?[Ganoderma lucidum (HC)] is a species of Ganodermataceae. This species has two strains DL1 and DL2, was grown and used mainly in Da Lat but they had not been fully studied. Objectives: To evaluate the cholesterol lowering effect of HC in cholesterol induced hypercholesterolemic rats. Subjects and method: Rats were given orally the cholesterol 10% with 0.5g/kg body weight/day during 6 consecutive weeks in order to induce hypercholesterolemic rats. The hypocholesterolemic effect of extract of (HC) was investigated at the dose of 4g/kg administered orally in hyperlipidaemic rats after 6 weeks. Results: HC with the dose of 4g/kg significantly decreased plasma triglyceride, total cholesterol, LDL ?C levels by 24.82%, 27.41% and 54.32% respectively, but increased HDL ?C by 53.34%. The effect of HC on plasma cholesterol levels with the oral dose of 4g/kg, 12g/kg was equal to each other and to that of cholestyramin at the dose of 1.6g/kg. Conclusion: HC has hypocholesterolemic effect in rats.

RESUMO

The influence of some medications including medicaments originated plant on the liver and kidney functions and histologic changes in experiemental animal is carried out. The results shows that the liver and kidney function of rabit are not affected by the doses of 10-20 fold higher than clinical doses. Conclusion: These medications can be tried on the clinical at dose of less than 1.0 g/kg of bodyweight within 2 weeks with interval of 1- 2 weeks.

RESUMO

CoX-2 or prostaglandin GH synthetase-2 is an enzyme which has induction, especially in the inflamatory reactions. The inflamatory stimulations activate the CoX-2 of monocytes, macrophages, cells of synovial membrane to synthesize prostaglandin which induce the inflamatory reactions. The non- steroid anti- inflamatory drugs inhibit the CoX-2 so they have anti- inflamatory effects. However, they also inhibit CoX-1 which induce some side effects such as gastrointestinal and kidney accidents, haemorrhage and hypersensitivities. The selective CoX-2 inhibitors have some properties: long half elimination life, easier uptake by oral; the same pharmacokinetics in both elderly and children and uncommon side effects (0.1 -1% treated cases).

RESUMO

Each PDE have isogenies (PDE 4A, PDE 4B, PDE 4C, and PDE 4D), which had different level in tissues. A cell can contain one or more DPE type. When agent (or drug) specifically and inhibited isoenzym, it will have specific effect on proteinkinase. The PDE4 and PDE3/4 compound inhibitive drugs have effects at the same time to relax trachea and anti-inflammatory. Viagra is PDE5 selective inhibitor, more important than PDE 2-3-4 with 1000 times, PDE 1 with 80 times, PDE 6 and PDE 7 with 10 times. This agent have many in vessels and cavernosum corpus. It plays role of break dow GMPv, but it depends on NO.
