RESUMO

Objective] Discuss the“five seasonal organs”theory of The Inner Canon of Huangdi, especially the seasonal issues of the spleen and preliminarily speculate the formation period. [Methods]By means of literature and historiography methods, information before The Inner Canon of Huangdi would be gathered, especially“The Book of Rites·on Order”,“Guanzi·Seasons”,“Annals by Lv·Twelve Ji”and so on. On this basis, we can discuss the different perspectives of “five seasonal organs”theory and the seasonal issues of the spleen of The Inner Canon of Huangdi, and preliminarily speculate the theory’s origin, evolution, and formation. [Results]“Six periods connected to six internal organs”theory is more concerned with the meaning of anatomy, although it is early view of the“seasonal organs”theory, but six or twelve has its specific cultural origins;“Eight wind connected to eight internal organs”theory is affected by Zhou Yi;“four periods connected to four internal organs”theory couldn’t explain attribution of the“soil”and its role, it belongs to the early stages of Qi argumentation of the“seasonal organs”theory after the introduction of the Five Elements Theory;“five periods connected to five internal organs”theory reflected the tight integration with the theory of five elements and balanced attachment features; the theory which has the most theoretical and clinical meaning is“four periods connected to five internal organs”theory. [Conclusion] The different perspectives of“five seasonal organs”theory and the seasonal issues of the spleen of The Inner Canon of Huangdi are results of a number of philosophical thoughts absorbed by different doctors, but through analysis of the relevant literature, the core ideas can be briefly summarized, it can be generalized that the spleen is located in the center, connected at any time, behalf of governance after each season ’s eighteen days.

RESUMO

Objective]To summarize and clarify the view on Yin and Yang of Zheng Qin-An ,in order to deepen the study on fire-spirit school. [Method]Read the related works of Chen Xiu-Yuan, Liu Yuan, Zheng Qin ’An, Lu ZhuZhi, etc, as wel as related research papers of modern researchers. Then we summarize the view on Yin and Yang of Zheng Qin-An, as wel as it ’s resources and evolution. [Result] Zheng Qin-An advocated the balance of Yin and Yang, didn’t admire Yang and despise Yin. He also had no preference on Yang aided medicine. Zheng Qin-An ’s view on Yin and Yang mainly was affected by Liu Yuan, and significantly different from Chen Xiu-Yuan. Lu Zhu-Zhi inherited the academic point of view of Zheng Qin-An and made some significant changes. After that, fire-spirit school only emphasized the importance of Yang Qi. Developed to the extreme, some fire-spirit school scholars held that al patients were Yang deficiency and al prescriptions should aid Yang Qi. These views had deviated significantly from its founding fathers. [Conclusion]Zheng Qin-An advocated the balance of Yin and Yang, but his successor ’s only emphasis on the importance of Yang Qi, was contrary to the original intention of Zheng Qin-An.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the etiology of deafness and the common disease-causing genes among patients with sensorineural hearing loss in Nangtong and to explore the proportion of genetic factors in this region.@*METHOD@#One hundred and fifty cases with hearing loss from three schools for deaf-mutes in Nangtong received sequence analysis of GJB2, GJB3, SLC26A4, mtDNA12SrRNA and mtDNA tRNASer(UCN), and individuals carrying SLC26A4 mutation were given further temporal bone CT scan. We investigated the etiology of deafness by analyzing the genes testing results and questionnaires.@*RESULT@#GJB2 mutations were responsible for approximately 19.33% of the cases in Nangtong area. Nineteen cases (12.67%) were diagnosed with EVA (enlarged vestibular aqueduct) by screening SLC26A4 followed by temporal bone CT scan. The aminoglycoside-related mtDNA 1555A > G mutation accounted for 2.67% (4/150) of the cases in this area. In addition, 27 cases (18%) may relate to genetic factors in this group.@*CONCLUSION@#By genetic screening we find that genetic deafness occupies a large proportion in deaf community. Our data demonstrate that gene testing has important role in clarifying etiology for hearing loss population.

RESUMO

"Humanity and virtue" is the core of Chinese traditional medicine ethics. The theories of "medicine is humane art" and "curing people with benevolence" were emphasized by Chinese doctors through the ages.According to the theory of the ancient doctors, the connotation of "humanity" is rich and profound, which is mainly embodied in two aspects-"humanity and virtue"of physicians and medical morality. The analysis and inheritance of "Humanity and virtue"of traditional Chinese medicine is of great signi cance for the construction of modern medicine.

RESUMO

Academic circles invariably have diverging view on "incantation and psychology",and differ to pass judgment on it.The author of this article tries to discuss the essential discrepancy of "incantation and psychology" compared with pseudoscience and anti-science from the essence of "incantation and psychology" and its effects in that history stage. It could be said that "incantation and psychology" was a stagger step of the ancients on the road of medical science. It was the confluence of primitive religion, experience and rationality ingredient. So we could not break away from its existing soil to evaluate it striding over the space-time,otherwise it was a discrepancy with historical materialism. Therefore it has practical importance in modern clinic to apply the "incantation and psychology",though excavating the essence of it and endowing it scientific methods.
