RESUMO

Objective@#To investigate the prevalence of hyperuricemia and its correlation among adolescents aged 13-16 in Hanjiang district of Yangzhou city.@*Methods@#Five hundred and nine adolescents aged 13-16 years in Hangjiang district of Yangzhou city were recruited. Their fasting serum uric acid level were measured by Benecheck premium UA monitoring system. The demographic imformation, family history, eating and living habits of the respondents were collected by questionnaires.@*Results@#The average serum uric acid level of 509 adolescents in Hangjiang district of Yangzhou city was (374±98) μmol/L, and (420±103) μmol/L in males, higher than that of females [(329±70) μmol/L](t=11.69, P<0.05). The overall prevalence of HUA was 36.9%(188/509), and 43.2%(108/250) in males, higher than in females 30.8%(80/259)(χ2=4.16, P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that male [OR=1.70, 95%CI(1.18, 2.45)], obese [OR=8.99, 95%CI(4.58, 17.63)], high-salt oily diet [OR=1.67, 95%CI(1.05, 2.61)], soy products [OR=2.66, 95%CI(1.45, 4.88)], animal offal [OR=7.81, 95%CI(3.42, 17.83)], seafood [OR=4.80, 95%CI(2.83, 8.12)], sugary drinks [OR=6.49, 95%CI(3.08, 13.64)] and time spent on electronic products [OR=1.98, 95%CI(1.07, 3.65)] might be risk factors for hyperuricemia (P<0.05), while fruit [OR=0.52, 95%CI(0.32, 0.85)] and outdoor activities [OR=0.55, 95%CI(0.33, 0.92)] might be protective factors for HUA (P<0.05).@*Conclusion@#There is a high prevalence of hyperuricemia among adolescents aged 13-16 in Hangjiang district of Yangzhou city. The level of serum uric acid in adolescents significantly increased. Male, obesity, high salt and oily diets, soy products, animal offal, seafood, and sugary drinks may be risk factors for HUA. Fruits and outdoor activities may be protective factors for HUA. Relevant disciplines can take corresponding measures to prevent adolescent HUA.

RESUMO

Objective:To explore the characteristics of attention during visual search tasks in adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).Methods:Totally 45 adult patients with ADHD who met the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) and 44 healthy controls matched with age, gender and IQ were selected. The reaction time and accuracy rate of two groups were compared under visual search tasks of low and high visual working memory load. Results:The reaction time was longer in patients with ADHD than in the healthy controls in both low-load task [(823 ± 144) ms vs.(754 ± 123) ms,P < 0.01] and highload task [(912 ± 163) ms vs.(851 ± 162) ms,P < 0.01].Compared with the performance in low load task, the search reaction time was longer in high load task [ADHD group:(823 ± 144) ms vs.(912 ± 163) ms,P < 0.01;control group:(754 ± 123) ms vs.(851 ± 162) ms,P <0.01] and the accuracy rate was lower during high load task than low load task[ADHD group:(95.9 ±4.3)% vs.(91.2 ± 14.29)%;control group:(95.8 ± 4.2)% vs.(94.4 ±4.9) %,P < 0.01] in both ADHD and control groups. Conclusion:The results suggest impairment in top-down attentional control in ADHD adults. When the visual working memory load is increasing,ADHD patients allocate more working memory resources on storing the target representation and less resources on visual attention,so the search efficiency may be influenced.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND:At present, biological agent-involved immunologic induction therapy gradual y became a key component in immunosuppression therapy of kidney transplantation. It can effectively prevent acute rejection and avoid the appearance of complications. OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of different biological agents on immune state and functional status of transplanted kidney in immunologic induction therapy. METHODS:Clinical data of 110 recipients with kidney transplantation were retrospectively analyzed. In accordance with the conditions of immunologic induction therapy, recipients in the monoclonal antibody group (n=35) received basiliximab. Recipients in the polyclonal antibody group (n=43) underwent rabbit anti-human antithymocyteglobulin. Recipients in the control group (n=32) did not receive immunologic induction therapy. Absolute value of lymphocytes and the number of CD4+T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood were comparatively analyzed among three groups at 1, 4 and 12 weeks after kidney transplantation. Functional status of the transplanted kidney and complications of infection were evaluated at 12 weeks after transplantation.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The incidence of acute rejection was lower in the monoclonal antibody group and polyclonal antibody group than in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of infectious complications was higher in the polyclonal antibody group than in the monoclonal antibody group and control group (P<0.05). The absolute value of lymphocytes was lower in the monoclonal antibody group and polyclonal antibody group at 1, 4 and 12 weeks after transplantation than in the control group (P<0.05). The number of CD4+T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood was lower in the polyclonal antibody group than in the monoclonal antibody group and control group at 1, 4 and 12 weeks after transplantation (P<0.05). These results suggested that biological agents participate in immunologic induction therapy of kidney transplantation, can effectively suppress the functional status of activated T lymphocytes, and decrease the occurrence of early acute rejection of the transplanted kidney. However, the incidence of infectious complications was higher after the use of rabbit anti-human antithymocyteglobulin.

RESUMO

Objective Toevaluateefficacyandsafetyoftwodifferentbiologicalsinimmunologic inductiontherapyonrenaltransplantrecipients. Methods Clinicaldataof78renaltransplantrecipientswho received biological immunologic induction therapy in Department of Urology of the 452nd Hospital of Chinese People's Liberation Army from June 2008 to April 2013,were retrospectively analyzed. According to different biological immunologic induction therapy, the recipients were divided into two groups, monoclonal antibody group (group A,n=35,received treatment of basiliximab)and polyclonal antibody group [group B,n=43, received treatment of antithymocyte globulin (ATG)]. And the other recipients who didn't receive immunologic induction therapy in the hospital during the corresponding period were chosen as control group (group C,n=32). The survival rates of recipient and kidney in 3 groups at 12th weeks after transplantation were analyzed. The levels of serum creatinine (Scr)of recipients in 3 groups were monitored at 7,14,30,60 d after transplantation. The occurrence rates of complications including acute rejection, delayed graft function and infectionwerecomparedamong3groups.Results At12thweeksaftertransplantation,thesurvivalratesof recipient and kidney in 3 groups were 100% and 100% in group A,97.7% and 97.7% in group B,100%and 96.9% in group C. There was no significant difference among 3 groups (all in P>0.05 ). Compared with group C,the Scr levels in group A and B decreased significantly at 7,14 d after transplantation (all in P<0.05 ). Compared with group C,the incidence rates of acute rejection decreased in group A and B(all in P<0.05 ). There was no significant difference in the incidence rates of delayed graft function among 3 groups (all in P>0.05 ). The incidence rate of infection in group B was significantly higher than those in group A and C (allinP<0.05).Conclusions Immunologicinductiontherapyissafeandeffectiveintheapplicationon renal transplant recipients.

RESUMO

To study the significance of the pathological changes of axon and myelin sheath in injured brainstem. The neurofilament and myelin basic protein was demonstrated immunohistochemically, and the pathological changes of axons and myelin sheathes in human brainstem following trauma were observed. In the injured brainstem, irregular swelling and disconnecting axons could be found as early as 0 5h after injury, while pathological changes in myelin sheaths such as tortuous change, partial peeling off from axon and intermittent disappearance could be observed at 19~22h after injury. However,in the normal brainstem, there were no evident changes in axons and myelin sheaths.Pathological changes of axon and myelin sheath in brainstem would occur after trauma, which could be used for postmortem diagnosis of brainstem injury.

RESUMO

Objective:To purify and characterize the major antigenic components of sand swimming crab, and provide theoretical evidences for the research of standardization of allergenic vaccine. Methods:The crude extract of Linnaeus was prepared using classical method, and electrophoresis of SDS-PAGE was used to separate the proteins of each group. The allergen proteins of 26 crab were identified using Western blot. To distinguish between the primary allergen proteins and secondary allergen proteins, FPLC(Gel Chromatography and ion exchange chromatography) was used to filtrate and identify the allergen protein.Results:SDS-PAGE analysis revealed that sand swimming crab proteins were composed of at lease 9 discrete protein bands, which molecular weight ranging from 13 000 to 90 000. Major bands were of 20 900, 24 200, 27 100, 29 200, 33 700, 38 900, 48 700, 74 700, 89 100 respectively. Western blot assay indicated that the crude extract reacted with sera obtained from 26 crab allergenic subjects and contained 5 allergen bands altogether, and the bands of 74 400 and 48 700 were the major allergenic components. The positive rates of the two major allergen proteins were both 100%, indicating the allergenic components maintained the immunocompetence after yielding from chromatography. Conclusion:The 74 400 and 48 700 bands are the major allergens of sand swimming crab. The major allergen proteins can be purified by chromatography.
