RESUMO
Chest pain and global T-wave inversion in female patients were studied. Twenty female patients with age ranges between 30-62 years, were admitted to coronary care unit. Nishtar Hospital, Multan. These patients were subjected to myocardial enzyme analysis, 12-leads electrocariography, 2-D echocardiography and thallium stress test. Eight patients revealed reversible ischemic changes on thallium stress test, which were further referred for coronary angiography. Five patients showed abnormal coronary angiograms while significant disease involving major coronary arteries was present in one patient only it may be concluded that if women present with ischemic type of chest pain and global T-wave inversion on ECG, the vast majority of them have no significant coronary artery disease
