RESUMO

Background: Apoptosis is a type of programmed cell death that occurs by a series of Intercellular messages under Specific conditions

Objective: The aim of present study was investigat role of the Adiantum capillus veneris extract on modulation of Bax and Bcl2 Apoptotic markers of lung in trained rats and exposed to hypoxic stress

Methods: 14 male Wistar rats were sampels of This study, that were Quite healthy and had no disease history [4 weeks old, 72 +/- 9 gr weight] that exposed to hypoxic Environment for 3 weeks after 6 weeks high intensity interval training. Half of the samples were taken 500 ml Adiantum capillus veneris extract Per kilogram of body weight in During exposure to hypoxia environment. Finally, lung tissue was extracted for Immunohistochemical Measurements

Results: Statistical analysis showed that Adiantum capillus veneris extract Consumption for 3 veeks in samples that exposed to hypoxia, Significantly reduced Bax protein Expression of Pulmonary alveolar [P 0.05] and Significantly reduced Bax /Bcl2 Ratio[P

Conclusion: It seems that Adiantum capillus veneris extract, Could possibly modulat Pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic proteins expression in pulmonary alveolars that exposed to hypoxic Environment that likely has Considerable effects to Inhibition of lung Pro-apoptotic reactions Due hypoxia

RESUMO

Background: one of the most important problems in medicine is stress induced peptic ulcer. In spit of its importance, there is no confirming way to prevent it. The aim of this study is test effect of feeding on stress induced peptic ulcer as a preventive way

Method and materials: experiments were performed on 20 wistar male rats weighting 200+/-20 gram that were under standard condition and has free access to water and food. They randomly divided in 4 groups with 5 rats in each group. 1] Fasting group with stress 2] feeding group with stress 3] fasting group without stress 4] feeding group without stress [control]. Cold water [23o] immersion stress for 3.5 hours was used for inducing stress. All rats were killed and their stomachs were revised from point of view numbers and area of ulcers. Data were analyzed by ONE WAY ANOVA

Results: immersion in cold water in this method induced ulcer in stomach, area and number of ulcers in fast with stress group were significantly more than other groups

Conclusion: oral feeding during stress reduces gastric mucosal injury in rats that are under acute stress. It seems that food in stomach prevent stress contractions that induced ulcer due to ischemia

RESUMO

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of topical application of sodium phenytoin%1 ointment, Vaseline and honey on wound closure during inflammation, proliferation and remodeling phase. Experiments were carried out on 20 male rats weight 225 +/- 25 gr. Rats were anesthetized with ether, a circular wound with 2 cm diameter was performed on the back of neck. Rats were divided to four groups, one group dressed with sodium phenytoin%1 on the wound every other day, in the other group the wound was dressed with unbilled honey and the third group was dressed with Vaseline. In control group no dressing was done. Wound area measured in 3.7, 14 and 25 days after surgery and closure of wound were measured on 28ht. Data were analyzed by one way ANOVA. In 14th day size of wound in Vaseline group was significantly greater than control and phenytoin group, in 25th day there were no significant difference between the groups and%80 of honey and phenytoin groups and%60 in control group and%40 of in Vaseline were completely healed. In 28th day wounds healed in phenytoin, honey, control and Vaseline group 100%, 90%, 80% and 70% respectly. It seems that phenytoin effect is more effective in compare with honey in wound closure than honey. Applications of both of them accelerate wound closure
