Pseudotumour cerebri [benign intracranial hypertension] in Saudi Arabia

Eighteen patients were treated for pseudotumour cerebri [PTC] at the Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital between 1983 and 1985. The clinical details, diagnostic problems and treatment are summarized. It is felt that this number represents a greater than expected frequency of this condition but, short of precise population figures an accurate estimate of incidence cannot be obtained
