RESUMO

New series of Cu[Il]-anthranilic acid anilide complexes has been prepared and characterized by the application of a number of different experimental techniques. Determination of stability constants potentiometrically and chemical composition by elemental analysis indicated the formation of 1:1 and 1:2 [Cu[2+]L] complexes according to the side chain X-substituents. Measurements of Spectroscopic [IR, electronic and EPR] and thermal [TGDTA] behaviour were carried out. The results of both electronic and EPR] 9 =2-09-2.11 and 11 = 2-24-2.25] spectra indicated that Cu[II] ions are present in a nearly square planar coordination with tetragonal symmetry. TG results of the studied examples of 1:1 and 1:2 Cu [II] - complexes showed, on the other hand, the presence of two types of lattice and/or coordinated water and/or ethanol molecules

RESUMO

The electronic absorption spectra of some new hydrazones derived from acetylacetone or benzoylacetone are investigated in organic solvents of varying polarities and buffer solutions of different pH. The behaviour in the latter is utilized in calculating the pK alpha of the phenolic and enolic OH groups in different solvents. The important bands in the IR spectra and the main [1]Hnmr signals are assigned and discussed in relation to molecular structure

RESUMO

The electronic absorption spectra of some anilide compounds derived from ethyl benzoyl acetate are investigated in organic solvents of varying polarities and buffer solutions of different pH. The behavior in the latter case is utilized in addition to the potentiometric technique for calculating pKa of the enolic OH group. The important bands the IR spectra and H-NMR signals are assigned and discussed in relation to molecular structure

RESUMO

The stability constants of some bivalent transition and trivalent lanthanide metal chelates of Noval benzoyl and salicoyl hydrazones derived form beta-diketone have been determined using potentiometric techniques in 50% v/v EtOH/H2O and at 0.1 ionic strength. The values of the stability constants have been correlated and discussed in relation to the basicity factor, 2nd ionization potential, electronegativity Xm and reciprocal of the ionic radius for transition and lanthanide elements

RESUMO

A new series of [MoO[SB]] complexes, where SB represents monoanionic tetradentate Schiff base ligands, have been prepared from the reaction of Mo[CO]6 and such ligands. The prepared complexes were subjected to elemental analysis, IR, electronic and EPR spectra as well as magnetic susceptibility measurements. The IR and magnetic moment values [/< 0.93 BM] suggested the presence of a polymeric structure. Moreover, electronic and EPR spectral data indicated octahedral geometry around the Mo [III] ion
