RESUMO
Este estudo investigou a rede de apoio social e afetivo e, em especial, a percepção das figuras parentais na rede de crianças e adolescentes institucionalizados. Participaram 146 crianças e adolescentes, com idades entre 7 e 16 anos (M=11,1; DP=2,04), sendo que 81,5 por cento são de abrigos governamentais e 18,5 por cento, de abrigos não governamentais da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre. Os instrumentos utilizados foram uma entrevista semiestruturada e o Mapa dos Cinco Campos. Os resultados indicaram que 59,4 por cento dos participantes mantêm contato com suas famílias. Quanto à rede de apoio, o campo Abrigo apresentou maior média de contatos, sendo considerado a principal fonte de apoio, e o campo Família apresentou contatos de maior proximidade. Observou-se diferença na percepção das figuras parentais, sendo que a figura materna foi percebida como mais presente e próxima do que a figura paterna. A percepção positiva associada ao campo Família e às figuras parentais sugere uma idealização da família e leva à discussão sobre o distanciamento entre vivido e pensado.
This study investigated the social and emotional support network and especially the perception of parental figures in institutionalized children and adolescents. The participants were 146 children and adolescents of age between 7 and 16 years, from governmental (18.5 percent) and non-governmental (81.5 percent) shelters of Porto Alegre's metropolitan area. A semi-structured interview and Five Field Map were used. The results indicated that 59.4 percent of participants have contact with their families. As for the support network, the Shelter field featured higher average of contacts and was considered the main source of support, while contacts featured in the Family field were perceived as closer. A difference in the perception of the parental figures was observed; the maternal figure was perceived as closer and more present than the paternal figure. The positive perception associated to the Family field and to parental figures suggests an idealization of the family and leads to a discussion on the distance between lived and thought.
