RESUMO

Chondrolipoma is rare and is mainly encountered in large-sized, long-standing lipomas. Chondrolipoma can be found at almost any site of the body, particularly in the connecting tissue of the skeletal system, breast, pharynx, and nasopharynx. A small number of chondrolipomas have been reported in the literature with rare magnetic resonance examples available. Here, we report a rare case of chondrolipoma in the shoulder and review its radiographic and pathologic correlation. This paper aims to report plain radiograph, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance examples of chondrolipoma

RESUMO

Chronic appendicitis is caused by inflammation of the appendix for several weeks, and the patients have symptoms such as mild nausea, abdominal pain, and tenderness. Diagnosis of chronic appendicitis is difficult because the symptoms are mild and vague compared to the acute appendicitis. In radiologic examination, appendicitis usually appears dilatation with diffuse wall thickening of appendix. Surgical treatment of the appendix (appendectomy) could be recommended against complications such as acute appendicitis or perforation. We have incidentally experienced an unusual case of chronic appendicitis without symptoms, and report its radiologic findings and clinical manifestations.

RESUMO

The paraganglioma is rare neuroendocrine tumor arising from paraganglionic tissue and most cases show characteristic endocrinological symptoms that are caused by catecholamine secretion. We report here on a case of nonfunctioning retroperitoneal paraganglioma that did not show any neuroendocrine symptoms, and this was misdiagnosed as ovarian tumor by ultrasonography and CT.

RESUMO

A 65-year-old female, who suffered with a longstanding headache, was admitted to our hospital. MR imaging and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) demonstrated a vascular fat-containing mass in the right cerebellopontine angle. The lesion was surgically removed and the diagnosis of angiolipoma was established. The symptoms subsided after the operation.
