Long-term clinical effects of Fogarty catheter on arteriovenous fistula thrombosis / 中华老年医学杂志

Objective To observe the long-term clinical effects of Fogarty catheter on arteriovenous fistula thrombosis and reperfusion rate in patients on hemodialysis. Methods The thrombosed vascular access was incised and F4 or F5 Fogarty catheter was inserted. After the Fogarty catheter passed through the thrombus, the heparin saline was infused into the balloon and then the catheter was pulled back. All the patients were followed up for 5-48 months. Results In 14 cases of total 15 patients embolisms were removed successfully and the blood flow during hemodialysis reached more than 200 ml/min. The catheter use time was (21.5±15.4) months in average and the longest use time was 48 months. Conclusions The recent and long-term effects of Fogarty catheter is good for arteriovenous fistula thrombosis, which prolongs the use period of autologous arteriovenous fistula and is worthy to be popularized.

Evaluate curative effect of chronic renal failure by methods of Bushen Jianpi Huoxue Paidu / 中国中药杂志

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>The evaluation of curative effect of CRF by Bushen Jianpi Huoxue Paidu and combination western medicine.</p><p><b>METHOD</b>Gather articles mainly of VIP Information and Wanfang Data of the decade to cure CRF by Bushen Jianpi Huoxue Paidu and combination western medicine with random controlled way, and geostatistical analyse with RevMan4. 2 downloading from Cochrane Collaboration.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>The control group was 3.82 (95% CI, 2.72-5.38), in neurofunction 2 al impairment. The serum creatinine SMD = -0.72 (95% CI, -1.08-(-)0.35). Urea Nitrogen WMD = -3.32 (95% CI, -4.34-(-)2.29), P < 0.05.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>In addition to the routine treatment, the method of Bushen Jianpi Huoxue Paidu can be used by using some Chinese drugs to enhance the clinical effect.</p>

Effects of Xuezhikang on carotid atherosclerosis plaque and blood lipids in patients with transient ischemic attack / 临床神经病学杂志

Objective To investigate the effects of Xuezhikang (XZK) on carotid atherosclerosis plaque and blood lipids in patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA). Methods 65 patients with TIA were randomly divided into two groups: XZK group and control group.XZK group received XZK and Aspirin for 6 months, while the control group received Aspirin only. The intima-midia thickness (IMT) of carotid artery,the area of carotid atherosclerosis plaque, and levels of blood lipids, oxidized low density lipoprotein cholesterol (ox-LDL) and serum nitric oxide (NO) were measured before and after treatment.Incidence rate of cerebrovascular event in the two groups were compared in 6 months. Results After 6 months of treatment, the total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL) and ox-LDL concentrations decreased significantly in XZK group, however high density lipoprotein (HDL) and NO levels increased markedly (all P0.05).Conclusion It is shown that XZK not only effectively adjusts blood lipids, inhibits peroxide of lipids and protects vascular endothelial, but also regresses the atherosclerosis and stabilizes the plaque.
