RESUMO
Foreign body reactions induced by macrophages often cause delay or failure of wound healing in the application of tissue engineering scaffolds. This study explores the application of nanosilver (NAg) to reduce foreign body reactions during scaffold transplantation. An NAg hybrid collagen-chitosan scaffold (NAg-CCS) was prepared using the freeze-drying method. The NAg-CCS was implanted on the back of rats to evaluate the effects on foreign body reactions. Skin tissue samples were collected for histological and immunological evaluation at variable intervals. Miniature pigs were used to assess the effects of NAg on skin wound healing. The wounds were photographed, and tissue samples were collected for molecular biological analysis at different time points post-transplantation. NAg-CCS has a porous structure and the results showed that it could release NAg constantly for two weeks. The NAg-CCS group rarely developed a foreign body reaction, while the blank-CCS group showed granulomas or necrosis in the subcutaneous grafting experiment. Both matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) were reduced significantly in the NAg-CCS group. The NAg-CCS group had higher interleukin (IL)-10 and lower IL-6 than the blank CCS group. In the wound healing study, M1 macrophage activation and inflammatory-related proteins (inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), IL-6, and interferon-γ (IFN-γ)) were inhibited by NAg. In contrast, M2 macrophage activation and proinflammatory proteins (arginase-1, major histocompatibility complex-II (MHC-II), and found in inflammatory zone-1 (FIZZ-1)) were promoted, and this was responsible for suppressing the foreign body responses and accelerating wound healing. In conclusion, dermal scaffolds containing NAg suppressed the foreign body reaction by regulating macrophages and the expression of inflammatory cytokines, thereby promoting wound healing.

Based on the resutls of literature review and interviews of experts, two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted. The mean, importance ratio, coefficient of variation and coordination coefficient were used for assessment of survey from multiple perspectives, and finally form a framework model of factors affecting the efficacy of Tuina therapy. A total of 37 experts were selected for questionnaire surveys, the positive coefficients of experts' participatation in the first round and second round were 92.5% and 80.0%, respectively. The overall coordination coefficient in the second round is 0.68. The items were included into the consensus meeting if the importance ratio of items were equal to and more than 80%. After the expert consensus meeting, 22 items were included to form a framework model of factors affecting the efficacy of Tuina therapy, and summarized as 5 major influencing factors, including diagnostic factors, treatment factors, prognostic factors, patient factors, and doctor-patient communication. This framework can guide and help young Tuina practitioners to improve clinical efficacy. It is also clearly pointed out that the effect of Tuina for pain is not only related to disease diagnosis or manipulation, but also related to home exercise, health care, and doctor-patient communication.
RESUMO
The occurrence of sudden cardiac death(SCD)in children is a rare but devastating event.Children′ SCD occurs mostly outside the hospital, with its strong suddenness and low success rate of treatment, causing serious consequences to both the families and society.Compared with other fatal incidents in children(such as car accidents, drowning), SCD incidents in children attracted more attention.Children′ SCD has been regarded as an unsolved major problem in clinical cardiology, emergency medicine and public health. The key to reducing the incidence of SCD in children is early detection and early prevention. With the continuous progress in the field of inspection technology, the understanding of electrocardiogram T-wave is getting deeper and deeper, and T-wave has become an important indicator for predicting SCD.This paper will review the research progress of T-wave and SCD in children.
RESUMO
The P wave of electrocardiogram is the atrial depolarization wave, which represents the atrial excitement.P waves are associated with many diseases, which can be used as diagnostic standard and prognostic index, and may have significant clinical value.Neurally-mediated syncope(NMS)is primarily mediated by autonomic abnormalities or autonomic dysfunction.NMS is also the most common type of syncope in children and adolescents. Many studies have shown that P waves can provide a lot of information related to NMS.In patients with NMS, P wave duration, P wave dispersion and P wave amplitude are statistically significant. Therefore, P wave of electrocardiogram may become an important ECG indicator for the prognosis of NMS in children and adolescents. Here we review the relationship between P wave of electrocardiogram and prognosis of NMS in children and adolescents.

RESUMO
BACKGROUND: Zein has excel ent solubility, heat resistance and biodegradability, but its biocompatibility and effect on periodontal defects repair are under discussion. OBJECTIVE: To analyze biocompatibility of zein and its effect on periodontal defect repair. METHODS: Zein scaffold was prepared by solvent casting/particulate leaching. In vitro test: Human periodontal ligament cel s were co-cultured with zein scaffold for 18 days, and cel growth was observed by scanning electron microscope. In vivo test: Eight Beagle dogs were enrol ed to establish periodontal defect models, which were randomly assigned to receive zein scaffold implantation as experimental group, or interrupted suture as control group. Afterwards, the defect region was observed by scanning electron microscope at 3 months. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: In vitro results: Human periodontal ligament cel s adhered wel and tightly on the scaffold with a fusiform, and could grow around pores. In vivo results: In the experimental group the scaffold dissolved completely, bone trabecular arranged regularly, and mature tissues appeared, to be integrated with the surrounding tissues; in the control group, the defect region almost healed, but there were irregular fibers and obvious lacunae. Moreover, compared with the control group, the height of new alveolar bone and bone defect, as wel as the length of junctional epithelium were significantly decreased, and new cementum was significantly increased in the experimental group (P < 0.05). To conclude, zein scaffold has good biocompatibility and can promote periodontal defect repair.
RESUMO
BACKGROUND:In recent years, tissue engineering technology as a new model for tissue regeneration has provided new ideas and methods for the repair of periodontal tissue defects. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of human periodontal ligament cels-polyglycolic acid scaffold complex for repair of periodontal tissue defects. METHODS:Passage 4 human periodontal ligament cels at a density of 1.5×109/L were seeded onto the polyglycolic acid scaffold to prepare cel-scaffold complex. Then mongrel dogs were selected to make animal models of periodontal tissue defects and then randomly assigned into experimental group subjected to cel-scaffold complex implantation or control group subjected to direct coronal reset and suture of the gingival flap. Colagen content, new blood capilaries, new cementum, new alveolar bone and new periodontal ligament were detected within 4 weeks after operation; hematoxylin-eosin staining of periodontal tissue defects was done at 8 weeks after operation. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In the experimental group, the colagen content, number of newborn capilaries, amount of new cementum, new alveolar bone and new periodontal ligament tissues were significantly higher than those in the control group at postoperative 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks (P< 0.05). At 8 weeks after operation, in the experimental group, there were more vessels arranging on the connective tissue surface of new alveolar bone, the alveolar bone showed a sawtooth-like interlinking with the periodontal tissues in the presence of a thin layer of cementum; in the control group, only new alveolar bone and cementum formed below the incisure. These findings indicate that human periodontal ligament cels-polyglycolic acid scaffold complex can promote periodontal tissue regeneration.

RESUMO
Malignant lymphoma is a common malignancy. From the perspective of the traditional Chinese medi-cine (TCM), the etiology and pathogenesis of malignant lymphoma are related to dampness, phlegm, toxicity, stasis and deficiency. Basic TCM principles for lymphoma syndrome differentiation and treatment are to strengthen the body resistance and eliminate pathogenic factors. Eliminating dampness, dissolving phlegm, detoxification, dissolv-ing stasis and strengthening body resistance are the principal TCM therapeutic methods for lymphoma treatment. Contemporary TCM physicians have developed Yi-Hua decoction, Zi-Niu powder, Ke-Liu capsule, Wu's Xiao-Liu powder and other herbal formulas, and 37 patents based on Chinese herbs and or herbal components. The effective mechanisms of TCM treatment for lymphoma are involved in inhibiting proliferation, inducing apoptosis, inhibiting angiogenesis, and regulating immune function. There is a great need to study anti-cancer herbs for lymphoma treat-ment.

Objective To investigate the effects of high density lipoprotein (HDL) on thrombin-activated platelet al-pha-granulemembrane protein (CD62P) and lysosome intact membrane protein (CD63) expressions in vitro. Methods The equivalent volume of washed platelets prepared by hand was preincubated with HDL (1 g/L) in 37℃water for 15 minutes, which was then stimulated with different concentrations of thrombin (0.5 U/mL, 1 U/mL and 10 U/mL) for 10 minutes in wa-ter of 37℃. Meanwhile another three groups of washed platelets were incubated with thrombin (0.5 U/mL, 1 U/mL and 10 U/mL) for 10 minutes, respectively. The CD62P and CD63 from each sample were analyzed by flow cytometry (FCM). Results The CD62P positive rates of HDL-preincubated groups were significantly lower than those of different concentrations of thrombin groups (0.5 U/mL,1 U/mL and 10 U/mL) in the absence of HDL (11.55%± 1.34% vs 18.14%± 1.50%, 17.19%± 0.17% vs 26.24%± 0.77% and 19.79%± 0.32% vs 80.38%± 5.66%,P < 0.01). Meanwhile, The CD63 positive rates of HDL-preincubated groups were also significantly lower than those of thrombin-treated (0.5 U/mL, 1 U/mL and 10 U/mL) groups without HDL, namely,2.92%±0.22%vs 8.09%±0.48%(P<0.001), 4.20%±0.98%vs 14.15%±1.39%(P<0.001) and 5.12%± 0.09% vs 24.48%± 1.71%(P < 0.01). Conclusion HDL inhibits the expression of CD62P and CD63 on throm-bin-stimulated platelets in vitro.
RESUMO
Objective To explore the experimental conditions of labeling rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (Rb-MSCs) with 5,6-carboxyfluorescein diacetic succinimidyl ester (CFSE) and to investigate the impact on the biological characteristics of Rb-MSCs in vitro. Methods Rb-MSCs were separated and purified by whole bone marrow adherent culture and then were identified by morphology and surface markers.Rb-MSCs were labeled with CFSE and the labeling effect was measured by flow cytometer. The proliferation capacity of labeled cells was detected with CCK-8.The differentiation capacity of labeled cells was investigated by being induced to osteoblasts and lipoblasts. The capacity of labeled cells to secret vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was detected by VEGF ELISA kits. Results The primary Rb-MSCs adhered in 48 h,being fusiform and colony-like growth.Subculture cells became fibroblast-like cells in order with uniform configuration. Most (above 98%) cultured cells expressed the surface markers CD29 and CD44 except for CD45.Compared with other labeling conditions,10μmol/L final concentration of CFSE and 10 min was the best one with a 100% labeling rate and high fluorescence intensity.Compared with unlabeled cells, the ability of the labeled cells to proliferate and to secrete VEGF was not significantly decreased (P > 0.05).Moreover,the labeled cells had osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation capacity. Conclusions It was a simple and efficient method to label Rb-MSCs with CFSE,especially in a short-term.The capacity of cell proliferation, differentiation, and secretion were not affected.
