RESUMO

Aiming at the limitations of clinical diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD) with rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD), in order to improve the accuracy of diagnosis, an intelligent-aided diagnosis method based on few-channel electroencephalogram (EEG) and time-frequency deep network is proposed for PD with RBD. Firstly, in order to improve the speed of the operation and robustness of the algorithm, the 6-channel scalp EEG of each subject were segmented with the same time-window. Secondly, the model of time-frequency deep network was constructed and trained with time-window EEG data to obtain the segmentation-based classification result. Finally, the output of time-frequency deep network was postprocessed to obtain the subject-based diagnosis result. Polysomnography (PSG) of 60 patients, including 30 idiopathic PD and 30 PD with RBD, were collected by Nanjing Brain Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University and the doctor's detection results of PSG were taken as the gold standard in our study. The accuracy of the segmentation-based classification was 0.902 4 in the validation set. The accuracy of the subject-based classification was 0.933 3 in the test set. Compared with the RBD screening questionnaire (RBDSQ), the novel approach has clinical application value.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the impacts of LASP-1 on the behavior and cell proliferation ability of tumor derived osteoblast-like cells and non tumor derived osteoblasts. Methods QRT-PCR and Western blot were performed to detect LASP-1 expressions in mouse bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMMSC),human osteoblasts (hOB) and human osteosarcoma cell (MG-63). With the construction of recombinant vector and the transfection of shLASP-1,the expression changes in both LASP-1 and osteocalcin(OCN),and the cell number of cell-cycle phase distribution were analyzed. Results With up-or down-regulation of LASP-1,osteocalcin(OCN) expression, cell proliferation ability and the cell number of G2/M phase in non tumor cells(BMMSC,hOB)had no obvious changes. However,as for the tumor cells(MG-63),with an increased expression of LASP-1,the expression of OCN,cell proliferation number and the cell number at G2/M phase changed. There was no significant effect on the moving ability of each cell. Conclusions LASP-1 has no significant effect on the osteogenic proper-ties,cell proliferation ability and cell cycle distribution of non tumor derived cells, but has a regulatory effect on tumor derived cells(MG-63).

RESUMO

Objective Exploration of the titanium surface nano structure on the cellular bioactivity is of great significance to modifying the pure titanium surface. The unique cluster-like anatase/rutile nanowires (AR@NWs)was prepared and we further examined whether this surface was beneficial for early biological reaction in osteoblast. Methods Unique cluster-like anatase/rutile NWs(AR@NWs)was generated by using a simple hy-drothermal reaction via a three-step synthesis process. The crystal structure of nanowires on titanium surface was de-tected by X-ray diffractometer. The biological activity of nanowires was studied using in vitro cellular experiments. Results The AR@NWs was with a diameter of 200 nm. Three different types of NWs were generated during the production process, displaying different crystal structure and biological characteristics but similar surface topogra-phy and wettability.Compared with sodium titanate NWs(STi@NWs)and H2Ti2O5nanowires(HTi@NWs),AR@NWs surface was conductive to cell attachment. The data indicated that the surface titanium chemical composi-tion and crystal structure played an important role in the cell early response. To some extent, the generation of ana-tase and rutile compensated the cell-repelling properties of NWs. Conclusion Not only the surface physical prop-erties such as surface topography but also the surface chemistry plays an important role in promoting the cell early bioactivity.

RESUMO

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic outcome of horizontal bone augmentation by using the modified split crest technique of piezosurgery in mandible molar area. Methods The present study reviewed the record of 15 patients from 2016 January to 2017 March in the department of oral implantology center of Stomato-logical Hospital of Southern Medical University, who underwent the modified split crest technique of piezosurgery in mandible molar area. Preoperative CBCT was performed to determine the bone thickness of the toothless alveo-lar crest of the mandibular posterior region, and the bone thickness was less than 3 mm. The modified split crest technique of piezosurgery was performed for the horizontal bone augmentation at mandibular posterior region. Meanwhile,GBR and the postoperative CBCT were performed to determine the bone width increments, followed with 1-week anti-inflammatory therapy postoperation. Three months after the operations, the bone width incre-ment was examined by CBCT. SPSS13.0 software was used to analyze the collected data. Results The modified split crest technique of piezosurgery in mandible molar area was successfully established, resulting in the mini-mal operative wounds and the slight postoperative reaction, without obvious infection. The postoperative crest width increase achieved 6.05 ± 0.65 mm. At 3 months after operation, the crest width increase reduced to(5.81 ± 0.61)mm. There were significant differences of the alveolar ridge thickness between the preoperative and post-operative patients(P<0.05). There were significant differences between the preoperative crest width and the 3 months after treatment(P<0.05). Conclusion Horizontal bone augmentation of the modified split crest tech-nique of piezosurgery was efficient, which could be performed in very narrow alveolar ridge, and which was rela-tively safe and accurate, with less trauma. No damage was observed to the soft tissue, and the cutting direction can be well controlled.

RESUMO

Objective To analyse the influencing factor, clinical appearance and solution of peri-implanti-tis,especially caused by cement remnant. Methods In this retrospective study 23 typical cases of peri-implantitis were collected in our implantology center from Jan.2016 to Dec.2016.The general data such as age, sex, systemic diseases, habits of smoking and alcohol, history of periodontitis, surgery process, materials and way of restoration were recorded in details. This study enrolled individuals from a private practice who had cement-retained implant res-torations,scheduled for regular implant maintenance or coming for consultation on a complication. Results All screw-retention(100%)and 50% cement retention peri-implantitis cases suffered from local and systemic diseases, 30% screw-retention and 20% cement retention healthy cases suffered from local and systemic diseases, which showed a significant differences(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between screw and cement reten-tion in peri-implantitis group.85.7% of screw-retention and 50% of cement retention cases had a poor oral hygiene (PLI=2or3).Despite the other possible factors(such as diabetes, periodontitis and heavy smoker),8 cement-re-tained implants suffered from peri-implantitis.5 cases showed the cement remnant on the x-ray photo. Conclusion There are many pathogenic factors leading to peri-implantitis that may be single or combined.Cement remnant direct-ly leads to peri-implantitis.Clearance of excess cement together with scaling and laser treatment,or even combined with guided bone regeneration surgery are effective for treatment of peri-implantitis.

RESUMO

Objective The study examined the influence on marginal bone levers at implants which implants were assigned to open healing and implant-abutment connection restored according to a platform-switching concept. Methods One implant were placed in the first molar of mandible of 48 patients , randomly assigned to open (OH) or submerge (SH) healing. Standardized radiographs were obtained after implant surgery, when implant transfer and crown mounting, and 6 ,12 and 24 months after implants restoration, then evaluated for implant-bone-lever alterations(ΔIBL). Results After 6 months after implants restoration,ΔIBL were (-0.25 ± 0.08)mm mm(OH)and (-0.26 ± 0.12)mm(SH). After 12 months follow-up, ΔIBL were (-0.29 ± 0.13)mm (OH)and (-0.31 ± 0.14) mm(SH), and after 24 months later, ΔIBLwere (-0.34 ± 0.15)mm(OH)and (-0.33 ± 0.11)mm (SH). Conclusions Platform-switched implants showed very limited peri-implant bone-lever alterations. The healing-mode neither affected the total amount nor the temporal patterns of ΔIBL.

RESUMO

Objective To analyse the location of the mandibular canal, providing the theoretical basis for implanting and bone grafting. Methods Mandibular data of 83 Chinese people obtained by cone-beam computed tomography examination were collected. Results The distance from the mandibular canal to mandibular buccal wall was (5.32 ± 1.29)~(7.24 ± 1.29) mm. And the average distance from mandibular canal to mandibular lingual wall or inferior margin were respectively (3.43 ± .99) ~ (3.93 ± 1.17) mm and (8.81 ± 1.90) ~ (10.02 ± 2.19) mm. Significant differences between males and females were found in groups. The anterior loop was observed in 70.9%of all sides. The accessory mental foramen was observed in 10.84% of all sides. Conclusion For the remarkable mutation of the location of the mandibular canal in Chinese people, clinicians should be careful before implant or bone surgery procedures to minimize the risk of inferior alveolar nerve injury.

RESUMO

Equine interferon-gamma (eIFN-gamma) expressed both in E. coli and baculovirus were evaluated for antiviral activity against recombinant Vesicular Stomatits Virus expressing green fluorescence protein (rVSV-GFP) in EFK-78 cells. The assays were conducted in 96-well plate. Virus infectivity was measured by quantifying GFP-positive cells, instead of quantifying the CPE reduction. Prior to infection of EFK-78 cells with rVSV-GFP, the cells were incubated with eIFN-gamma. The GFP expression in the EFK-78 cells dramatically decreased in the cells treated with eIFN-gamma in a dose-dependent manner, comparing with the mock-treated cells. The titers of antiviral activity were 1 x 10(3) AU/mL and 1 x 10(5) AU/mL of eIFN-gamma expressed from E. coli and baculovirus, respectively. The antiviral activities of the recombinant eIFN-gamma were highly efficient and specific, as it was blocked by mAbs against eIFN-gamma.

RESUMO

The effect of Sangge Mixture (SM) on cerebral circulation and metabolism in rabbits was observed. The results showed that SM increased the blood flow of brain and cerebral cortex in a dose-dependent manner and had no effect on the blood flow of femoral arteries. Meanwhile, SM markedly increase the oxygen consumption and glucose intake in rabbit brain. It is suggested that SM can improve cerebral circulation, with a certain degree of selectivity.
