RESUMO
Este texto tem como objetivo divulgar o Repositório Digital do Centro de Memória do Esporte (ESEF-UFRGS), mais especificamente, a coleção Lazer e Recreação Pública, criada em 1997 com a doação dos acervos pessoais de Frederico Guilherme Gaelzer e de Lenea Gaelzer. O conjunto documental que a integra compreende as décadas de 1910 a 1980, com destaque para itens, tais como fotografias, álbuns, recortes de jornal, anotações pessoais, material didático, documentos relativos a atividades recreativas em praças, colônias de férias, jardins de infância, entre muitas outras. A coleção está sendo digitalizada e gradativamente será disponibilizada para consulta online, o que certamente possibilitará o florescimento de inúmeras pesquisas na área do lazer e temáticas afins, conferindo a esse campo acadêmico novos temas, problemas e potencialidades.
This text aims at publicizing the Digital Repository of the Sports Memory Center (ESEF-UFRGS), particularly the Leisure and Public Recreation collection, which was created in 1997, when Frederico Guilherme Gaelzer and Lenea Gaelzer donated their personal collection. The collection, which is composed of documents from the 1980?s and 1990's, includes items such as pictures, albums, newspaper snippets, personal notes, didactic material, documents related to recreational activities performed in squares, holiday camps and kindergartens, among others. The collection has been digitalized and will be gradually available for online consultation. This will certainly allow the growth of a number of researches into the area of leisure and related themes, bringing new topics, problems and potentialities to this academic .
