RESUMO
Objetivo: Discutir por meio da literatura sobre ansiedade no pré-operatório de cirurgias cardíacas e a importância da enfermagem neste processo. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão da literatura, onde foi realizado buscas online nas bases de dados Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Base de dados de enfermagem (BDENF), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e na Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE). Foram incluídos 17 artigos publicados entre os anos de 2007 a 2016 e que respondiam os objetivos propostos. Resultados: O preparo do pré-operatório para uma cirurgia cardíaca envolve elementos biopsicossociais de grande importância para o sucesso cirúrgico e a recuperação do paciente. Alguns dos papéis importantes do enfermeiro são realizar visitas pré-operatórias no intuito de detectar problemas físicos e psicossociais de saúde, como a ansiedade. Este realiza diversos cuidados como: oferecer atenção especial ao nível de ansiedade; orientações sobre o processo cirúrgico, tanto ao paciente quanto aos seus familiares; conforto, dentre outros. Conclusão: A visita pré-operatória de enfermagem é fundamental para que se consiga dados essenciais do paciente. Neste momento, é possível detectar e até intervir nos problemas ou alterações relacionadas aos aspectos biopsicossocioespirituais do paciente que poderão interferir diretamente no resultado esperado
Objective: To discuss, through the literature on preoperative anxiety before heart surgery, the importance of nursing in this process. Method: This is a literature review, with online searches conducted in the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Base de dados de Enfermagem (BDENF - Nursing Database), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS) and the online Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System (MEDLINE). Seventeen articles published between 2007 to 2016 that met the proposed objectives were included. Results: The preoperative preparation for heart surgery involves biological, psychological and social factors of great importance for the success of the surgery and the patient's recovery. One of the important roles of nurses is conducting preoperative visits to detect physical and psychosocial health problems, such as anxiety. The nurse offers various types of care, such as: giving special attention according to the level of anxiety; guidance on the surgical process, both for the patient and their relatives; comfort, among others. Conclusion: The preoperative nursing visit is fundamental to achieve essential data on the patient. Nowadays, it is possible to detect and even intervene in problems or changes related to biological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of the patient that could directly affect the expected result
