RESUMO
Resumo As reflexões sintetizam a formação dos sistemas de proteção e segurança social da população idosa na realidade brasileira, latino-americana e portuguesa. Para tanto, privilegia como metodologia a análise da produção bibliográfica sobre esta área temática, no cenário eleito como objeto de estudo, além da interlocução com a agenda pública estatal através das fontes documentais que envolvem o arcabouço formal legal, bem como os planos, programas e serviços implementados em cada realidade pesquisada.
Abstract The reflections show the formation of the protection systems and social security of the elderly population in the Brazilian reality, Latin American and Portuguese. Therefore, it has the methodology to analyze the bibliographic production on the study of the elderly population. It presents a dialogue with the state public agenda through the documentary sources that involves the formal legal framework, and plans, programs and services implemented in each researched reality.
