RESUMO
Sabe-se que a hipotermia, além de ser muito frequente, é responsável por vários efeitos prejudiciais para o paciente, alguns deles constituindo-se em ameaças à vida ou piora na sua recuperação pós-operatória. Teve-se como objetivo identificar e analisar a ocorrência da hipotermia não planejada no pós-operatório. Elaborou-se um instrumento, o qual foi utilizado para a coleta de dados de 120 pacientes. As variáveis mensuradas foram: temperatura corporal durante e imediatamente após a cirurgia; idade do paciente; tempo, tipo de cirurgia e tipo de anestesia. Reafirma-se ser necessária uma avaliação segura e eficaz da necessidade de regulação térmica desses pacientes, de modo que a intervenção na vigência de hipotermia perioperatoria diminua a incidência de complicações neste período.
Besides being quite frequent, hypothermia is responsible for several detrimental effects on the patient, some of them constituting a life-threatening condition in the postoperative recovery. The objective of this study was to identify and analyze the occurrence of unplanned postoperative hypothermia. We developed a tool to collect data from 120 patients. The variables measured were body temperature immediately after surgery, patient's age, time and type of surgery and type of anaesthesia. It is necessary to evaluate the need for effective thermal regulation of these patients, so that the intervention in the perioperative hypothermia may decrease the incidence of this complication during this period.
