RESUMO
Objetivo: conocer si están influyendo los educadores en la formación de un sistema de valores humano-altruistas en los estudiantes del nuevo modelo formativo, que les permita modificar la percepción de la muerte y la felicidad para asumir sus intervenciones, en correspondencia con estos eventos. Métodos: se realizó un estudio descriptivo-prospectivo para valorar su percepción durante la formación académica del Licenciado en Enfermería de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas en Santiago de Cuba durante los cursos académicos 2003-2006, se seleccionaron como muestra 30 matriculados en el primer año por el método aleatorio simple. Resultados: se encontró en primer año la percepción de la muerte asociada a los significados de "temor", "fin de la vida" y "no sé", hasta prevalecer en tercero "paro de las funciones vitales", "paro cardio-respiratorio" y "reto para el ejercicio profesional". Conclusiones: en cuanto a la influencia del proceso formativo en la consolidación de valores universales, se percibe la felicidad en el tercer año como un estado anímico, el sujeto amplía sus horizontes hacia la felicidad y acepta la muerte como un proceso natural(AU)
Objective: to know if educators are influencing on the formation of a system of human-altruist values among the students of the new formative model that allow them to change the perception of death and happiness to assume their interventions in correspondance with these events. Methods: a descriptive prospective study was carried out to assess the perception of the Nursing Bachellor during their academic training at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Santiago de Cuba during the academic courses 2003-2006. 60 students enrolled in the first year wee selected by the simple random method. Results: in the first-year students it was found the perception of death associated with the meanings of "fear", "end of life", and "I don't know" until the prevalence among the third-year students of "cessation of the vital functions", "cardiorespiratory arrest" and "challenge for the professional exercise". Conclusions: as regards the influence of the formative process on the consolidation of universal values, happiness was perceived in third year as a mood state, the subject widens his horizons to happiness and accepts death as a natural process(AU)
