RESUMO

The breast cancer accounted for the highest rate among cancers in women. In development countries, the plastic reconstruction after operations of breast cancer played an important role to help patients integrating into the normal life. In Vietnam, together with progresses in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, the plastic reconstruction of breast is being considered and primarily applied in some professions.

RESUMO

The plastic reconstruction of defect in the head, neck and face played an important role in the rehabilitation and plastic recovery for patients suffered cancer in the head, neck and face. Some techniques and materials are being applied in the plastic reconstruction comprised the autologous cutaneous transplantation, local cutaneous transplantation, pedicular flaps, expanded flaps and artificial materials.

RESUMO

17 patients with scar due to the burn (77%) and congenital pigment in the head and face, ages of 1-44 received plastic surgeries in the National Institute of Burn of which facial lesion and head skin lesion due to many different causes. The results have shown that frontal skin stretch bags were suitable for local lesions. The head skin stretch bags with hair were suitable for the lesions in the adjacent region.

RESUMO

The hemifacial giant congenital nevus is a rare lesion but it always places a substantial challenge in the hand of the plastic surgeon. Surgical early management of these lesions is recommended and established by the use of tissue expansion and combined full-thickness skin grafting. Although the use of serial tissue expansion for the burn scars and the giant pigmented nevi of the trunk was recently presented, but this technique has not been reported for the reconstruction of the hemifacial congenital nevus in the literature. This case illustrates a successful surgical management of a serial tissue expansion and full-thickness skin grafting for hemifacial congenital nevus.

RESUMO

14 cutaneous expansion package sets made by SEBBIN Laboratory (France) were used. Each set involved an expansion package that varying in size, shape and volume. Largest package is 400cc and smallest one is 100cc. These packages were applied to 8 patients. Among these, 2 patients applied 1 package and 6 patients applied 2 packages. The procedure was failed in two cases. 12% cases were covered by more than 90% of damaged surface, the quality of expanding flaps was ensured in both terms of hair density and direction. However, the scar quality of flaps is not good.

RESUMO

The method of tissue expansion overcame the disadvantages of traditional plastic reconstruction. The materials comprised the skin expansion bag, and empty bags for containing fluid. The indication of tissue expansion comprised covering of the defect of adjacent tissue, preparation for other operation and distribution as a free tissue flaps. The technique contraindicated for patients with mental disorder, previous radiated tissue, and position of expansion bag was adjacent with lesion of blood vessels and malignant tissues. The complication comprised the incision rupture, ulcerated skin necrosis, infection, malnutrition of skin had and explicit of expansion bag due to the excessive rapid pumping

RESUMO

A patient with contractile thermal scar in the neck received a plastic reconstruction by 2 supraclavicular fasicocutaneous flaps. The results have shown that distal head of two flaps was normal, process of scar healing was at good. There was no necrotic patient can lock up and turn normally. The curves of neck were reconstructed normally.

RESUMO

Lagophthalmos is a common observed complication of some lesions in the upper eyelid. The technique "allongement of elevator muscle" performed in 12 patients with lagophthalmos. This is simple technique that allows a effective reconstruction of the retraction of the upper eyelid and seems particularly useful in context of medium retraction. Very satisfactory esthetic and functional results obtained in almost patients.

RESUMO

This study was conducted in order to review the experience in the reconstruction of postburn head-neck deformities effect in Hµ Néi plastic surgery Centre between 1995 and 1997. 135 procedures were used to reconstruct postburn scar in 55 patients. All the patients had suffered deforming flame and chemical burns in the head and the neck. Some of the reconstructions ware essential procedures, such as eyelid ectropion, neck release by means of Z plastics, skin grafts, expanded flaps, local flaps, and free flaps... Reconstruction of some parts of face, head of aesthetic importance were the late elective procedures which can be performed after scar maturation.
