RESUMO

To study the pharmacokinetics of 5 FU after splenic artery(IA) and auricular vein(IV) infusion, portal vein blood was collected for measurement to appraise the clinical value of treatment with this anti tumor drug via different routes on malignant hepatic neoplasms. 5 FU in portal vein blood was measured with high performance liquid chromatography. The results showed that the concentration of 5 FU in IA group was higher than that in the IV group. The peak concentration of 5 FU in the IA group was higher than that in the IV group by 64%. The area under the curve (AUC) of 5 FU in the IA group was larger than that in the IV group by 42%. It suggested that higher concentration of anti tumor drug in the portal vein could be obtained via splenic artery infusion, and it is valuable for the treatment of malignant hepatic neoplasms.

RESUMO

In this paper, we reported the radiographic characteristics of arterio-portal shunt in 59 cases with hepatocellular carcinoma. All eases were arbitrarily divided into three types, the peripheral, central, and mixed. The angiographic manifestations of all types were described in detail with emphases on discusion of the mechanism of the pormation of arterio-portal shun, and the orientation of interventional approach. We suggested that active and solemn attitude should be taken but with different ways be considered rather than ignoring it, for obtaining the positive results.

RESUMO

To explore the clinical advantages of interventional radiologyin saving the patients with fatal hemorrhage. Simple embolization had been used in 19 patients. 8 patients were treated with temporary blockage of blood flow plus surgical procedures. Long term follow up in 26 cases showed good clinical effect. Interventional radiology, with its special technique and advantage, may be the most effective method for saving the patient with various fatal hemorrhage and in the development of traumatic surgery. It is not only a life saving proceduce, but also an important treatment in decreasing the rates of amputation and disability when it is closely coordinated with medical and surgical treatments.
