RESUMO

Objective@#To compare the effectiveness of three forms of health education including classroom teaching, network teaching and after class tutoring on exercise behavior among college students.@*Methods@#A literature search was performed using web of science, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and CNKI database on randomized controlled trials of health education intervention on exercise behavior among college students. Literature filtering, data extraction, and assessment of the risks of bias were conducted by two independent researchers using Stata 16.0 software based on traditional Meta analysis and network meta analysis.@*Results@#A total of 23 literatures were included. The results showed that health education courses could effectively increase the weekly exercise time of college students( SMD =0.29), exercise frequency ( SMD =0.25) and number of students participating in exercise( OR =1.33). Subgroup analysis revealed that the increase in classroom teaching and network teaching associated with increased weekly exercise time ( SMD =0.45, 0.36), exercise frequency ( SMD =0.22, 0.37) and exercise number ( OR =1.36, 1.26)(all P <0.05); The effect of after class tutoring on the time and frequency of weekly exercise was not statistically significant( P >0.05). Indirect comparison showed that the effects of classroom teaching and network teaching on weekly exercise time, and exercise frequency were superior to that of extracurricular counselling( P <0.05); There were no significant differences in the weekly exercise time, frequency and number of participants between the two groups( P >0.05). Based on SUCRA method and the effect size, health education in the form of classroom teaching may have the greatest effect on the weekly exercise time, frequency and the number of students participating in the exercise( SUCRA =91.5, 94.1, 87.1).@*Conclusion@#Health education in the form of classroom teaching and network teaching can positively influence exercise behavior of college students. It is suggested that health education courses should be carried out in college courses so as to better promote college students to participate in physical exercise.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To study the percentage of the measured values of the main pulmonary ventilation function parameters in their predicted values based on Zapletal equation among healthy children aged 5-14 years in Kunming, China, and to provide a basis for accurate judgment of pulmonary ventilation function in clinical practice.@*METHODS@#A total of 702 healthy children aged 5-14 years (352 boys and 350 girls) from Kunming were enrolled. The Jaeger spirometer was used to measure the nine indices:forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), ratio of forced expiratory volume in one second to forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC), maximal mid-expiratory flow (MMEF), forced expiratory flow at 25% of forced vital capacity (FEF25), forced expiratory flow at 50% of forced vital capacity (FEF50), forced expiratory flow at 75% of forced vital capacity (FEF75), peak expiratory flow (PEF), and maximal voluntary ventilation (MVV). The values obtained from the Zapletal equation of predicted values provided by the spirometer were used as the predicted values of children, and the percentage of measured values in predicted values was calculated.@*RESULTS@#In the 702 children, the percentages of the measured values of the main pulmonary ventilation function parameters PEF, FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, and MVV in their predicted values fluctuated from 102% to 114%, 94% to 108%, 98% to 113%, 98% to 107%, and 141% to 183% respectively. As for the main airway velocity parameters, the percentages of the measured values of FEF25, FEF50, FEF75, and MMEF in their predicted values fluctuated from 98% to 116%, 85% to 102%, 71% to 98%, and 83% to 100% respectively. The percentages of the measured values of PEF, FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, MVV, FEF25, FEF50, FEF75, and MMEF in their predicted values had the lower limits of normal of 88.2%, 88.4%, 92.0%, 94.4%, 118.5%, 82.9%, 70.0%, 62.1%, and 70.1% respectively.@*CONCLUSIONS@#There are differences between pulmonary ventilation function parameter levels and normal values provided by Zapletal equation in healthy children aged 5-14 years in Kunming. As for the pulmonary ventilation function parameters of PEF, FVC, FEV, FEV1/FVC, MVV, FEF25, FEF50, FEF75, and MMEF in these children, the lower limits of normal of measured values in predicted values may be determined as 88.2%, 88.4%, 92.0%, 94.4%, 118.5%, 82.9%, 70.0%, 62.1%, and 70.1% respectively.

RESUMO

Collaboration of c-KIT mutations with AML1-ETO (AE) has been demonstrated to induce t(8; 21) acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Targeted therapies designed to eliminate AE and c-KIT oncoproteins may facilitate effective treatment of t(8; 21) AML. Homoharringtonine (HHT) features activity against tumor cells harboring c-KIT mutations, whereas oridonin can induce t(8; 21) AML cell apoptosis and AE cleavage. Therefore, studies should explore the efficacy of combination therapy with oridonin and HHT in t(8; 21) AML. In this study, we investigated the synergistic effects and mechanism of oridonin combined with HHT in t(8; 21) AML cell line and mouse model. The two drugs synergistically inhibited cell viability and induced significant mitochondrial membrane potential loss and apoptosis. Oridonin and HHT induced significant downregulation of c-KIT and its downstream signaling pathways and promoted AE cleavage. HHT increased intracellular oridonin concentration by modulating the expressions of MRP1 and MDR1, thus enhancing the effects of oridonin. The combination of oridonin and HHT prolonged t(8; 21) leukemia mouse survival. In conclusion, oridonin and HHTexert synergistic effects against t(8; 21) leukemia in vivo and in vitro, thereby indicating that their combination may be an effective therapy for t(8; 21) leukemia.

RESUMO

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the expression of CLCA3 and Muc5ac in nasal mucosa in allergic rhinitis rats and the effects of glucocorticoid on its expression.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Thirty SD rats were randomly divided into allergic rhinitis group, dexamethasone group and control group. Expression of CLCA3 mRNA and Muc5ac protein in nasal mucosa were detected by RT-PCR and immunohistochemical assay, respectively.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>CLCA3 mRNA and Muc5ac protein in allergic rhinitis group were significantly higher than those in control group (t = 8.565, 5.317, P < 0.01, respectively). The increased expression of CLCA3 mRNA in allergic rhinitis group was well correlated with the expression of Muc5ac protein and the correlation coefficient was 0.813 (P < 0.05). After treatment with dexamethasone, the expression of CLCA3 mRNA and Muc5ac protein was notably lower than that in allergic rhinitis group (t = 3.102, 2.226, P < 0.05, respectively).</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>The stronger gene expression of CLCA3 exists, complicated with mucus overproduction in the nasal mucosa of allergic rhinitis rats. CLCA3 expression may play a pivotal role in mucus overproduction in allergic rhinitis. Dexamethasone substantially downregulates the expression of CLCA3 mRNA and Muc5ac protein.</p>

RESUMO

Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of multislice CT (MSCT) in the diagnosis and preoperative TNM staging of gastric carcinoma. Methods: Fifty patients with advanced gastric carcinoma were examined by MSCT, gastrointestinal series (GI), fiberoptic gastroscopy (FG) and transabdominal ultrasonography (US). The results of the 4 methods were compared with postoperative pathological results. Forty patients, who were diagnosed as having advanced gastric carcinoma by both MSCT and US, had their TNM staging evaluated and the results were compared with postoperative pathological TNM evaluation. Results: The detection rates of MSCT, FG, GI and US for advanced gastric carcinoma were 98%, 100%, 88% and 80%, respectively. The detection rate of MSCT was not significantly different with that of FG, but was obviously higher than that of GI (P=0.027) and US (P=0.004). The accuracy of MSCT in preoperative TNM staging was significantly higher than that of US(92.5% vs 72.5%). Conclusion: MSCT, with two-phase thin slice incremental scanning image, multiplaner reformats (MPR) and three-dimension (3D) image, is more advantaged in detecting the gross type, size, location, invasion and metastasis of advanced gastric carcinoma, thus greatly improving the detection rate and preoperative TNM staging of advanced gastric carcinoma.

RESUMO

Objective:To validate the therapeutic value of CT-guided percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI) in the treatment of metastatic adrenal tumors. Methods: Thirty-one foci (diameter ranging from 1.5 cm to 7.2 cm) in 25 patients with metastatic adrenal tumors were treated with CT-guided PEI for more than twice. Plain and enhanced CT scans were performed 1-2 months after PEI to observe the size and necrosis of the tumors. Results: Post-PEI enhanced CT scan showed that 18 of the 20 foci with diameters less than 3 cm completely necrotized; 11 foci with diameters between 3 cm and 7.2 cm necrotized partially, and 2 foci completely necrotized after another 2-3 courses of PEI treatment. Conclusion: CT-guided PEI is a simple and minimally invasive means for treatment of metastatic adrenal tumors, and the therapeutic effect is satisfactory.

RESUMO

Objective:To validate the clinical value of CT-guided curve-needle percutaneous ethanol injection (CNPEI) for celiac plexus block analgesia. Methods: Thirty-two patients with end-stage cancer, including 13 complicated with extensive retroperitoneal lymph node enlargement and fusion, were enrolled in this study. All patients complained of refractory upper abdominal pain and had received narcotic analgesics and radiotherapy, but the analgesic effect was not good. CT-guided CNPEI was therefore prescribed. Results: The effective rates of CT-guided CNPEI were 100%, 100%, 96.9%, 90.6%, 87.5%, and 84.4% immediately, and at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks after treatment, respectively. All enlarged lymph nodes had obvious necrosis and became shrunk. Conclusion: Combined application of bilateral anterior and posterior diaphragmatic crura block and trans-lymph node block can produce good analgesic effects, and curve-needle puncture make the above technique simpler.
