Replantation of an amputated arm

A case of replantation of an arm is presented. The arm was caught in a cement mixing machine resulting in severe crush injury and amputation at the level of the elbow. The arm was only attached to the body with a piece of skin and soft tissue. The decision to replant was made after examination under general anaesthesia
