RESUMO

OBJECTIVES@#To investigate the expression of IL-25,IL-33 and EOS in children with allergic rhinitis (AR).@*METHODS@#Ninety-four AR children receiving immunotherapy and 23 healthy people were concluded in the study. The serum levels of IL-25 and IL-33 were detected by Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), and a count of EOS were measured.@*RESULTS@#The serum levels of IL-25 and IL-33 in the mild group were higher than control group (0.05). The serum levels of IL-25 and IL-33 in the severe group were higher than those in mild group (<0.05). The serum levels of IL-25 and IL-33 in the severe group were higher than control group (<0.05). The count of EOS in the severe group were higher than those in mild group (<0.05). The count of EOS in the severe group were higher than those in control group (<0.05). Spearman test showed the serum levels of IL-25 in the children with AR patients have positive correlation with the serum levels of IL-33 (<0.05, =0.238).@*CONCLUSIONS@#Expression of IL-25 levels, IL-33 levels and the count of EOS in patients with AR are enhanced, which shows that IL-25, IL-33 and the count of EOS are involved in the AR. If we can understand the mechanism of them, it will profound implications for treatment.

RESUMO

Objective:To construct HIV-1 pseudovirus containing enhanced green fluorescent protein ( EGFP ) gene. To understand the interaction between the virus and the cells. Methods: HIV-1 pseudovirus containing EGFP gene was constructed by lentiviral packaging systems, and its EGFP gene was amplified using RT-PCR. The level of genomic integration and transcription of HIV-1 pseudovirus containing EGFP gene were detected on iDCs infected with HIV-1 pseudovirus. At the same time, research on expression of the EGFP gene in iDCs infected with HIV-1 pseudovirus was performed. Results:The EGFP gene of HIV-1 pseudovirus was detected through RT-PCR. The EGFP gene was identified in iDCs infected with HIV-1 pseudovirus through PCR and RT-PCR. The EGFP was observed in iDCs infected with HIV-1 pseudovirus under fluorescence microscopy. Conclusion: HIV-1 pseudovirus containing EGFP gene has been successfully produced. The HIV-1 pseudovirus that we constructed can infect iDCs,then its RNA can integrate into the genome of iDCs in the way of reverse transcription, and the EGFP gene could express in the iDCs after infected with HIV-1 pseudovirus.

RESUMO

Objective:To observe the effects of Dyad Flow self-adhering flowable composite in the minimal invasive treatment of decid-uous molar caries.Methods:31 7 deciduous molars caries of 206 patients were randomly divided into 3 groups and treated by minimal invasive method, the cavities of the molars were filled with Dyad Flow self-adhering flowable composite(group A,n =1 07),traditional flowable composite and self-etching adhesive(group B,n =1 04)and glass ion(group C,n =1 06)respectively.The children were fol-lowed up for 1 and 2 years after treatment.Results:1 year after treatment the success rate(%)of group A,B and C was 95.3,96.77 and 91 .84(P >0.05);2 years after treatment 89.1 9,90.67 and 79.45(P >0.05),respectively.Conclusion:Dyad Flow self-adhe-ring flowable composite is effective in the treatment of deciduous molar caries.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The association between rarely used anthropometric measurements (e.g., mid-upper arm, forearm, and calf circumference) and metabolic syndrome has not been proven. The aim of this study was to assess whether mid-upper arm, forearm, calf, and waist circumferences, as well as waist/height ratio and waist-to-hip ratio, were associated with metabolic syndrome. METHODS: We enrolled 387 subjects (340 women, 47 men) who were admitted to the obesity outpatient department of Istanbul Medeniyet University Goztepe Training and Research Hospital between September 2010 and December 2010. The following measurements were recorded: waist circumference, hip circumference, waist/height ratio, waist-to-hip ratio, mid-upper arm circumference, forearm circumference, calf circumference, and body composition. Fasting blood samples were collected to measure plasma glucose, lipids, uric acid, insulin, and HbA1c. RESULTS: The odds ratios for visceral fat (measured via bioelectric impedance), hip circumference, forearm circumference, and waist circumference/hip circumference were 2.19 (95% CI, 1.30-3.71), 1.89 (95% CI, 1.07-3.35), 2.47 (95% CI, 1.24-4.95), and 2.11(95% CI, 1.26-3.53), respectively. The bioelectric impedance-measured body fat percentage correlated with waist circumference only in subjects without metabolic syndrome; the body fat percentage was negatively correlated with waist circumference/hip circumference in the metabolic syndrome group. All measurements except for forearm circumference were equally well correlated with the bioelectric impedance-measured body fat percentages in both groups. Hip circumference was moderately correlated with bioelectric impedance-measured visceral fat in subjects without metabolic syndrome. Muscle mass (measured via bioelectric impedance) was weakly correlated with waist and forearm circumference in subjects with metabolic syndrome and with calf circumference in subjects without metabolic syndrome. ...

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo observe clinical therapeutic effect of point-through-point acupuncture on strephenopodia after apoplexy.

METHODSNinety-six cases of strephenopodia after apoplexy were divided into a treatment group (n=50) treated with point-through-point acupuncture and a control group (n=46) treated with normal acupuncture. Their clinical therapeutic effects and motor functions of lower limbs were investigated.

RESULTSBoth the methods could restore foot functional activities of various directions in the patient of strephenopodia after apoplexy (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), and the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was more obvious (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe point-through-point acupuncture has obvious therapeutic effect on foot functional activities of various directions in the patient of strephenopodia after apoplexy.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVETo observe therapeutic effect of acupuncture on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) and explore the mechanism.

METHODSSixty-eight cases of DPN were treated with acupuncture at Jianyu (LI 15), Quchi (LI 11), Waiguan (TE 5) etc. and their blood sugar, blood lipids and hemorrheologic indexes and nerve conductive velocity before and after treatment were determined.

RESULTSAfter treatment, 43 cases were markedly effective, 20 cases were effective and 5 cases were ineffective, with a total effective rate of 92.6%; the nerve conductive velocity, plasma insulin, C-peptide, opioid peptides increased significantly (P<0.01) and blood viscosity significantly decreased (P<0.01).

CONCLUSIONAcupuncture has a definite therapeutic effect on DPN and the increase of nerve conductive velocity is possibly related with the increase of plasma opioid peptides.
