The Committee of Vietnam Pharmacopoeia (CVP), a stage of 35 years

The committee of Vietnam Pharmacopoeia have been established since July 1963. Mission is to build a pharmacopoeia. Its content comprises national standards of quality for domestic drugs. Committee have been organized compilation and publication of Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia No I including 2 volume: volume I (1971), Volume II (1983). Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia NoII including volume I (1990), Volume II (1991), Volume III (1994). Supplemental volume comprise 32 standards about vaccine and vaccine test methods.

The regulation on labelling of drugs and cosmetic influence directly on the human health

Realization on the decision No 178/1999/Q§-TTg dated 30/8/1999 of Prime Minister about the promulgation of the regulation on labelling of commodities that domestic circulate and import-export. The circular letter No 34/1999/TT-BTM dated 15/12/1999 of Ministry of Trade. Ministry of Health have been regulated specifically about labels of drugs and cosmetic influence directly on the human health.

Principles “good drug storing practice

Drugs and raw materials must be stored in good condition such as proper package with clear label. The drug receive must be implemented in separate place and correct and compared. The drug must be stored as regulation, especially toxic drugs and psychotic drugs. It must have receive paper and dispense paper. Health facilities are responsible for training and organizing implementation of this regulation

Decision of the Minister of Health of Vietnam about the promulgation of lists of ingredients and pharmaceutical forms not receiving registration file for domestic and foreign pharmaceutical products

Basing on the law of people's health protection, the decree of No 23/H§BT, the decree of No 68/CP, the decision No1203/BYT-Q§, Ministry of Health have been made a decision about promulgation of lists of ingredients and pharmaceutical forms not receiving registration file for domestic and foreign pharmaceutical products.

Some opinions of pharmacy activity at the local level

The people health protection and care at the local level required the drug with acceptable price, safety aiming at the treatment with lowest cost. The pharmacy activity was a important part of the health network at local level. There were some conditions to assure the pharmacy activity at the local level, including the network of drug supply, pharmacy staff, relation between health staffs, pharmacy policy for local level, training and retraining, and information of safe and rational drug use.
