RESUMO

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ilaprazole Enteric-Coated Tablets in the treatment of RE. Methods The databases of CNKI, VIP, Wanfang Data, PubMed, Embase, and The Cochrane Library were searched to collect all the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of Ilaprazole in the treatment of RE published before April 2021. After data extraction and quality evaluation, the RCTs meeting the inclusion criteria were performed, and the meta-analysis was conducted by RevMan 5.4. Results Nine RCTs were included, with a total of 1115 patients of RE. The results of the meta-analysis showed that Ilaprazole Enteric-Coated Tablets were comparable to Esomeprazole Enteric-Coated Tablets in both endoscopic efficiency (90.08% vs. 90.00%, P > 0.05) and symptom relief rates (91.79% vs. 91.23%, P > 0.05), and there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions (7.99% vs. 8.66%, P > 0.05). Conclusion Ilaprazole Enteric-Coated Tablets with lower doses were comparable to Esomeprazole Enteric-Coated Tablets which showed good efficacy and safety in the treatment of reflux esophagitis.

RESUMO

The immune system is involved in the initiation and progression of cancer. Research on cancer and immunity has contributed to the development of several clinically successful immunotherapies. These immunotherapies often act on a single step of the cancer-immunity cycle. In recent years, the discovery of new nanomaterials has dramatically expanded the functions and potential applications of nanomaterials. In addition to acting as drug-delivery platforms, some nanomaterials can induce the immunogenic cell death (ICD) of cancer cells or regulate the profile and strength of the immune response as immunomodulators. Based on their versatility, nanomaterials may serve as an integrated platform for multiple drugs or therapeutic strategies, simultaneously targeting several steps of the cancer-immunity cycle to enhance the outcome of anticancer immune response. To illustrate the critical roles of nanomaterials in cancer immunotherapies based on cancer-immunity cycle, this review will comprehensively describe the crosstalk between the immune system and cancer, and the current applications of nanomaterials, including drug carriers, ICD inducers, and immunomodulators. Moreover, this review will provide a detailed discussion of the knowledge regarding developing combinational cancer immunotherapies based on the cancer-immunity cycle, hoping to maximize the efficacy of these treatments assisted by nanomaterials.

RESUMO

Background: Disrupted circadian rhythms have been associated with the development of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). In some IBS patients, the symptoms may present with circadian fluctuations. Enterochromaffin cells (EC cells) and tryptophan hydroxylase 1 (TPH1) - 5 - hydroxytryptamine (5 - HT) signaling pathway are currently recognized as the key pathophysiological mechanism of IBS. Aims: To explore whether Bmal1, the core circadian clock gene, is involved in the occurrence of IBS by regulating TPH1-5-HT signaling pathway in EC cells. Methods: Normal Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats and IBS-model SD rats, as well as wild type (WT) and intestine-specific Bmal1 knockout (Bmal1

RESUMO

Background: Visceral hypersensitivity is considered as a key pathophysiological mechanism involved in functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs). Visceral nociception and hyperalgesia is existed extensively following exposure to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), however, its molecular mechanism in intestinal tract is unclear. Aims: To explore the potential role of N-Myc downstream-regulated gene 2 (NDRG2) in intestinal tract for mediating visceral hypersensitivity following exposure to PTSD. Methods: PTSD model was established by single prolonged stress (SPS). SD rats were divided into normal control group, CTX group, PTSD group and PTSD+CTX group. Mice were divided into normal control group, PTSD group, NDRG2

RESUMO

Background: Symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D) are known to be influenced by circadian oscillation; however, the pathophysiological mechanism is still unclear. Aims: To investigate the role and underlying mechanism of colon circadian clock gene Bmal1 involved in the occurrence of symptoms in IBS-D patients. Methods: Forty-six patients with IBS-D and 34 normal controls from Army Medical Center of PLA during September 2018 to February 2021 were recruited in this study. IBS-severity scoring system (IBS-SSS) was used to evaluate the severity of IBS-D symptoms. A colonoscopy was performed to obtain biopsy specimens from rectosigmoid colon. The concentration of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), and expressions of Bmal1 and chromogranin A (CgA), a biomarker of enterochromaffin cells (EC cells), in colonic mucosa were detected by ELISA and double-labeled immunofluorescence, respectively. Results: Both the 5-HT concentration and number of EC cells in colonic mucosa of IBS-D patients were significantly higher than those of the normal controls (all P< 0.05). Bmal1 was mainly expressed in intestinal epithelial cells and was highly expressed in EC cells. Co-expression of Bmal1 and CgA was observed. Compared with the normal control group biopsied at the same time point, expression of Bmal1 was significantly higher in specimens taken at 9 a.m., and expression of Bmal1 was significantly lower in specimens taken at 17 p.m. in IBS-D patients (all P< 0.05). Spearman correlation coefficient analysis showed that Bmal1 expression at 9 a.m. was positively correlated with the total score of IBS-SSS and subscore of abdominal pain and discomfort (r

RESUMO

Cyprinid herpesvirus 3 (CyHV-3) is the causative agent of an extremely contagious and aggressive disease afflicting common corp Cyprinus carpio L. termed koi herpesvirus disease (KHVD). Since it was first reported in 1997, the virus has spread worldwide rapidly, leading to enormous financial losses in industries based on common carp and koi carp. This review summarizes recent advances in CyHV-3 research on the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, and control of KHVD.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the morbidity and related factors for osteoporosis in postmenopausal patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods The bone mineral density (BMD) at lumbar vertebrae(L1-4), left femoral neck, femoral trochanter and total hip were measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) in 79 postmenopansal patients with T2DM.The patients were divided into two groups: osteoporosis group and non-osteoporosis group. The correlations between BMD and age, course of disease, menopausal age, menopausal duration and body mass index (BMI) were analyzed by multivariate regression analysis. Results There were significantly statistical differences in age, BMI, interleukin 6 (IL-6), osteocalcin and menopause duration between two groups.Linear correlation analysis showed IL-6 was positively correlated with osteoporosis (r=0.260, P=0.020) and glycosylated hemoglobin (GHbAlc) (r=0.259, P=0.023) Logistic regression analysis showed that the morbidity of osteoporosis had an independent positive correlation with age, but an independent negative correlation with BMI.Conclusions In postmenopausal patients with T2DM, age and low BMI are independent risk factors for osteoporosis.
