RESUMO

The pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases(AID)involves the inflammatory response of the human body, and inflammatory pathways are also shared by mechanisms of aging.Clinical observations of AID have revealed evidence of aging-related diseases in younger adults. This article reviews the literature related to research progress on AID combined with aging-related diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and osteoporosis, and briefly explains the underlying mechanisms, in order to promote interdisciplinary research between the two fields.

RESUMO

Objective Summing up the care experience about a patients with acute illness and frailty. Methods Taking care of the patients based on the acute care for the elderly unit model (ACE), using the methods of admission assessment, interdisciplinary team, function-centered care model, ward environment design, early care transition planning and meeting with family members. Results The patient was discharged 10 days later, without function decline or complication related to admission. Conclusions ACE unit model is a successful care model which take a holistic care for old patients in order to maintain the function during hospitalization.

RESUMO

Objective To systematically review ICU-nurse lightly sedated patients, in order to provide evidence for sedation. Methods Databases were searched including The Cochrane Library, Joanna Briggs Institute Library, PubMed, EMbase, Ovid, ELSEVIER CMB, CNKI and WANFAN from inception to May 2018, to collect qualitative studies in the experience of ICU nurses lightly sedated patients. The quality of included studies was evaluated according to JBI Critical Appraisal Tool for qualitative studies in Australia. The results were integrated by integrating methods. Results A total of seven studies were included. Thirty-five complete findings were grouped according to their similarities to form six categories. These categories resulted in two synthesized findings: Despite the complexity and unknowns of care, critical care nurses were slowly accepting the fact and try to cope with; there were some barriers on the implementation of sedation, there should have a multi-party collaboration. Conclusions the heath management system should pay more attention to implementing light sedation strategies, ICU-nurses should be given support, guidance and encouragement.

RESUMO

Human height, a complex trait with over 80% heritability, is determined by genetic and environment factors. Currently, a certain amount of specific variants about human height have been found, especially with the widely used of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in genetics research, making it a great progress for the discovering of height associated genes. However, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) found by GWAS can only explain a minority of the heritable. This article reviews the progress of GWAS about height associated genes and missing heritability domestic and overseas.

RESUMO

This paper introduced the basic concept, development background, development situation and pattern of acute care of the elderly unit, so as to improve the public cognition and development of acute care of the elderly unit. The practices of acute care of the elderly unit could improve the hospital outcome of elderly patients and enhance the quality of life.

RESUMO

Objective In order to study 275 reported height-associated single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in males of Northern Han Chinese. Methods Genotype information was detected by matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOFMS) in 266 Northern Han Chinese male samples. Using PLINK 1.09 and SPSS 19.0 software, three analysis methods were choosen, which were linear regression analysis, logistic regression analysis (tall ≥177.5cm, short ≤167.5cm), and logistic analysis (tall ≥180cm, short ≤165cm). Results We identified 16 SNPs significantly associated with height in our study group(P<0.05), which were analysised by linear regression analysis and logistic regression analysis. Of these, one had been previously described in East Asian (rs11170624), and six had been reported in European (rs10037512、rs17346452、rs2629046、rs7689420、rs8052560、rs7909670). The result of mean variance analysis suggested that the effect of rs11170624、rs17346452、rs7689420 and rs7909670 on height was consistent with previous study. However, compare with European population, the other three loci showed differential contribution of height variation in Northern Han Chinese. Conclusion Further statistical tests in larger numbers of individuals will be required to identify higher population specificity loci affecting stature of Han Chinese, and to build a height prediction model.

RESUMO

Objective:To explore best drug treatment regimen through the participation of clinical pharmacists in the drug treat-ment of one patient with multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii meningitis intracranial infection. Methods: Clinical pharmacists joined in the treatment team and designed the treatment plan. The individualized dosage regimen was made out through the choices of drugs, dose and administration route, and taking the ADR of drugs into consideration. Results: The intracranial multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii infection was controlled by the sensitive antibiotics. Cefoperazone sulbactam and minocycline were both effec-tive in the treatment of Acinetobacter baumannii intracranial infection. Conclusion:Clinical pharmacists should provide clinical consul-tation for physicians to ensure the safety, effectiveness and economic of patients’ medication.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for safe and effective use of anti-infective agents in the clinic. METHODS:The utilization of anti-infective agents in hematology department of our hospital from 2009 to 2013 was analyzed statistically using con-sumption sum,DDDs,the ratio of the serial number (the ratio of the serial number of consumption sum to the serial number of DDDs),DDC. RESULTS:There were 5 kinds of anti-infective agents, such as β-lactam and its compound preparations, antifungal drugs, fluoroquinolone and glycopeptide. From 2009 to 2013,the percentage of anti-infective agents with the ratio of serial num-bers≥1 were 70%,60%,70%,60%,65%,respectively. CONCLUSIONS:From 2009 to 2013,the utilization of anti-infective agents in hematology department of our hospital is rational on the whole. However, the cheaper drugs with good synchronism should be used.

RESUMO

Improvement of the productivity of industrial strains is an important field in micro-biology, because wild-type strains isolated from nature usually produce only a low level of antibiotics. Although random screening and simple rational screening are still effective without using genomic information, they are always time- and labor-consuming. With the broad application of recombinant DNA technology, protoplast fusion and X-omics, novel methods and strategies such as metabolic engineering, genome shuffling, system biology and system biotechnology, ribosome engineering, epigenetic modification are being exploited for the industry microbiology. In this review, we will focus on the progress of these novel methods and strategies for strain improvement in recent years.
