RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To observe the effects of auricular thumbtack needle on breast feeding and lactation function in primiparous women with cesarean section, and to explore its mechanism of action from the perspective of lactation-related gene expression.@*METHODS@#One hundred cases of primiparous women with cesarean section were randomly divided into an observation group (50 cases, 3 cases dropped off) and a control group (50 cases, 2 cases were eliminated). The patients in the control group were treated with routine obstetric care. Based on the treatment of the control group, the patients in the observation group were treated with auricular thumbtack needle at Neifenmi (CO18), Xiong (AH10), Xiongzhui (AH11), Shenmen (TF4), and Jiaogan (AH6a), etc., with one side of auricular point selected, only once for a total of 3 d. The lactation initiation time, lactation adequacy rate at postpartum 72 h, exclusive breastfeeding rate at postpartum 42 d, and breastfeeding score after treatment were compared between the two groups. Real-time quantitative PCR and Western blot method were used to detect the mRNA and protein expression levels of TDP-43, Btn1A1 and XDH.@*RESULTS@#After treatment, the lactation initiation time in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group (P<0.01), and breastfeeding score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.01). The lactation adequacy rate at postpartum 72 h was 63.8% (30/47) in the observation group, which was higher than 41.7% (20/48) in the control group (P<0.05). The exclusive breastfeeding rate at postpartum 42 d was 72.3% (34/47) in the observation group, which was higher than 47.9% (23/48) in the control group (P<0.05). The mRNA and protein expression levels of TDP-43 and Btn1A1 in breast milk in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.01), while there was no statistically significant difference in mRNA and protein expression of XDH in breast milk between the two groups (P>0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#The auricular thumbtack needle in addition to routine care could promote lactation initiation, improve lactation adequacy rate and exclusive breastfeeding rate in primiparous women with cesarean section, and the action mechanism may be related to up-regulation of TDP-43 and Btn1A1 expression.

RESUMO

@#Abstract: Objective To investigate the infection of Anisakis in marine fish sold in Fuxin, and conduct molecular identification and evolutionary tracing of third-stage larvae to determine Anisakis species. Methods From 2018 to 2021, marine fish sold in the market were collected randomly, and the third stage larvae of Anisakis were detected in marine fish sold in the market by direct dissection, and the morphological characteristics were used to preliminarily identify species by microscopy; the total DNA was extracted, the internal transcribed spacer sequence of the ribosomal DNA of Anisakis was amplified, and the sequence alignment and evolution analysis were carried out. Results A total of 289 market-sold sea fish samples of marine fish sold in the market were dissected and 84 samples of Anisakis were detected with a detection rate of 29.1%, of which the infection rates of hairtail and small yellow croaker were higher, at 41.4% and 41.2%, respectively. BLAST comparison of 28 sequences revealed eight species of anisakids, including Anisakis pegreffii, Anisakis simplex, Anisakis typical, Raphidascaris trichiurid, Contracaecum muraenesoxi, Hysterothylcaium zhoushanensis, Hysterothylacium amoyense and Hysterothylcaium fabri, belonging to the genera Anisakis and Hysterothylacium. The phylogenetic tree constructed from 28 sequences generally formed two topological branches, with Anisakis pegreffii, Anisakis simplex, and Anisakis typical forming three separate clusters as the topology branch of Anisakis genus. However, meanwhile, Hysterothylacium, Contracaecum, and Raphidascaris formed a separate topological branch. Conclusions The marine fish sold in Fuxin City have severe anisakid infection, with a wide variety of anisakid species, the dominant species being Anisakis pegreffii.

RESUMO

To explore the drug use rules of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, and to provide some references for clinical treatment. The full-text search of "ulcerative colitis+TCM" was conducted based on CNKI. The literatures published from 2000 to 2020 were selected, and the clinical prescriptions for ulcerative colitis were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The statistical processing and association rule analysis were carried out with use of Excel 2013, Clementine 12.0 and IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 statistical software. A total of 177 prescriptions were obtained after retrieval of 3 432 relevant literatures, including 93 oral prescriptions and 84 enema prescriptions. Among them, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Coptidis Rhizoma, Aucklandiae Radix and Paeoniae Radix Alba were the most frequently used drugs in oral administration, with the functions of tonifying, heat clearing and Qi regulating. The drugs with high frequency in enema included Bletillae Rhizoma, Coptidis Rhizoma, Sanguisorbae Radix, Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex and Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, with the functions of heat clearing, blood stopping and tonifying. Both oral and enema means of drugs were mainly of warm, cold and slightly cold properties, and bitter and sweet flavors, involving spleen, stomach, lung and large intestine. In cluster analysis, oral and enema drugs were divi-ded into 5 groups. Accordingly, in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, tonifying medicine, heat clearing medicine and Qi regulating medicine are often used for oral administration and heat clearing medicine, hemostatic medicine and tonifying medicine are often used for enema administration. On this basis, they are combined with diuretic drugs and astringent drugs respectively.

RESUMO

Based on the clinical characteristics of atopic dermatitis( AD) in traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) and Western medicine, the existing animal models were analyzed, and the coincidence degree, advantages and disadvantages between the models and the clinical manifestations of AD were evaluated,so as to provide reference for establishing a rational animal model. After consulting relevant literatures in recent years and summarizing the existing modeling methods,it is found that spontaneous,transgenic/gene knockout models were highly consistent, but with high breeding conditions and expensive prices. The hapten-induced model was low in cost and fast in modeling. It revealed the corresponding mechanism of AD to a certain extent, but did not fully reflect the state of the entire process of AD. The modeling method was guided by Western medicine, but with a lack of pathogenic factors of traditional Chinese medicine, and so has certain limitations in TCM research. Therefore,it is necessary to combine the etiology, pathogenesis and clinical mani-festations of AD with traditional Chinese and Western medicine,so as to improve the coincidence degree between the model and the characteristics of clinical symptoms and lay the foundation for in-depth studies on AD.

RESUMO

The incidence of heart failure has increased year by year, with a negative impact on quality of life and life expectancy of patients. Reproduction of animal models that meet the characteristics of clinical symptoms is a prerequisite for conducting experimental studies relating to heart failure. Based on the characteristics of clinical symptoms of heart failure in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and Western medicine, the existing common animal models of heart failure were explored, and the clinical anastomosis of the existing animal models was analyzed based on the clinical diagnostic criteria of heart failure in TCM and Western medicine. After analysis and comparison, it can be seen that the existing modeling methods are mostly single-factor animal models, with certain gaps between the characteristics of clinical multi-factors and interactions that jointly lead to heart failure, and the modeling methods were mostly guided by Western medicine, with a lack of TCM pathogenic factors in the model process, which is different from the clinical diagnostic criteria of Chinese and Western medicine for heart failure. In terms of syndrome differentiation, heart failure is classified into heart and lung Qi deficiency syndrome, Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, heart and kidney Yang deficiency syndrome, Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome, Yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome, phlegm-drinking obstructive lung syndrome, Yin and yang exhausted syndrome. The existing animal models mostly confused them, with no effective and recognized method for modeling at present. There are major limitations in studies of Chinese medicine. Therefore, based on clinical characteristics of heart failure in Chinese and Western medicine, this article analyzed the existing animal models, defined their advantages and disadvantages and application prospects, and then suggested further improving the corresponding animal models of heart failure and standardizing the model evaluation, so as to improve the clinical coincidence between animal models and Chinese and Western medicine, make heart failure animal models better serve scientific studies, and promote relevant mechanism studies, pathological change studies and drug screening.

RESUMO

Based on the characteristics of clinical symptoms of chronic skin ulcers in traditional Chinese and Western medicine, the current animal models of skin ulcers are summarized. This article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of animal models according to the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic skin ulcers, traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnostic criteria and observation indicators, and eva-luates the agreement between the existing animal models and the characteristics of clinical syndromes of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for chronic skin ulcers. Through analysis and comparison, it is found that most of the existing modeling methods are single-factor animal models, and there are certain gaps in the physiological and pathological characteristics of chronic skin ulcers caused by clinical multi-factors and interactions. Most of the modeling methods are guided by Western medicine. The lack of pathogenic factors of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the process of modeling. Therefore, this article proposes to establish a reasonable quantification standard for chronic skin ulcer animal models, and to establish a combination model of chronic skin ulcer disease with traditional Chinese and Western medicine as the focus of future animal model research.

RESUMO

This article aims to provide a good experimental method for the study of drug treatment of ulcerative colitis. According to the characteristics of ulcerative colitis's clinical symptoms, common ulcerative colitis animal models were analyzed. Based on the characteristics of clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine for ulcerative colitis disease, the existing commonly used animal models of ulcerative colitis were analyzed to summarize the current matching degree, advantages and disadvantages of the exi-sting animal models of ulcerative colitis and clinical symptoms. At present, studies on ulcerative colitis mainly adopt four types of induction modeling methods, such as immunization, chemical stimulation, compound method and gene model. There are many reported methods of colitis modeling, but no model can reflect the characteristics of clinical symptoms of ulcerative colitis treated with Western or Chinese medicine. This article summarizes the characteristics, clinically relevant symptoms and applicable scope of immunization, chemical stimulation, compound method, and gene model, so as to provide a reliable animal model for subsequent studies of prevention and treatment of colitis.

RESUMO

The present study reports a rare case of Taenia saginata infection, which was initially diagnosed as acute cholecystitis in a Tibetan patient at the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau pastoral area, China. A 45-year-old female was initially diagnosed with acute cholecystitis at a hospital in China. She had a slight fever, weight loss and constipation and complained of pain in the upper abdomen and left back areas. Increase of monocyte, eosinophil and basophil levels were shown. Taenia sp. eggs were detected in a fecal examination. An adult tapeworm approximately 146 cm in length, whitish-yellow color, was collected from the patient after treatment with traditional Chinese medicine. The adult tapeworm had a scolex and proglottids with genital pores. The scolex was rectangular shape with 4 suckers and rostellum without hooklet. The cox1 gene sequence shared 99.5-99.8% homology with that of T. saginata from other regions in China. The patient was diagnosed finally infected with T. saginata by morphological and molecular charateristics.

RESUMO

Allergic conjunctivitis (AC) is one of the most common eye diseases in ophthalmology, including type I allergies and type Ⅳallergies, which seriously affect the quality of life of patients. This article analyzes the current models of allergic conjunctivitis based on the characteristics of clinical symptoms of Chinese and Western medicine, including the types of animals selected, the characteristics of the models, and the analysis of the degree of agreement with the clinical symptoms of Chinese and Western medicine. It is concluded that most of the current AC model replication uses ovalbumin (OVA) induction method, ragweed pollen induction method. In recent years, animal models of fungal-inducible, compound 48/80-inducible, and murine allergic conjunctivitis have appeared, which are sensitized by the "systemic first and then local" method. Most of them have a high degree of coincidence with the characteristics of Western medicine symptoms, but there are certain gaps in the indicators of Chinese medicine, and there are also inconsistencies between the existing observation indicators and the diagnostic standards of Chinese medicine, resulting in unclear symptoms of Chinese medicine and irregular classification judgments. Therefore, To replicate the animal model with high clinical anastomosis of Chinese and Western medicine, further discussion and research are needed to better promote the research of allergic conjunctivitis.

RESUMO

This study aims to explore the mechanism of fresh Phragmitis Rhizoma against chronic bronchitis airway inflammation. The SD rats of SPF grade were divided into control group, model group, Guilongkechuanning group(GLKCN, 1.125 g·kg~(-1)), high-dose fresh Phragmitis Rhizoma group(LG-HD, 15 g·kg~(-1)), and low-dose fresh Phragmitis Rhizoma group(LG-LD, 7.5 g·kg~(-1)). The chronic bronchitis models of rats in other groups except the control group were induced by the modified smoking method. From the 15 th day of modeling, the rats were given corresponding agents by gavage for 20 consecutive days. After the last administration, the rats were sacrificed for sample collection. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was employed to detect serum transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β) and interleukin-6(IL-6) levels. The protein expression of TGF-β, IL-1β and IL-6 in lung tissue was detected by immunohistochemical method. Masson staining was performed to detect collagen fibers and muscle fibers in lung tissue, and HE staining to detect the pathological changes of lung tissue. Human bronchial epithelial(16 HBE) cells were cultured in vitro, and CCK-8(cell counting kit-8) method was used to detect the cytotoxicity of cigarette smoke extract(CSE) and fresh Phragmitis Rhizoma. After the exposure of 16 HBE cells to 3.5% CSE and appropriate concentration(800, 400 μg·mL~(-1)) of fresh Phragmitis Rhizoma for 24 h, quantitative real-time PCR was conducted to determine the mRNA levels of TGF-β and IL-1β, and Western blot was employed to determine the protein levels of TGF-β and IL-6 in the cells. The rat model of chronic bronchitis induced by smoking was successfully established. Fresh Phragmitis Rhizoma reduced serum TGF-β and IL-6 levels, down-regulated the protein levels of TGF-β, IL-1β, and IL-6 in lung tissue, and alleviated pathological changes and fibrotic lesions in lung tissue. Moreover, it down-regulated the CSE-induced protein expression of TGF-β and IL-6 as well as the mRNA level of TGF-β in 16 HBE cells. These results indicated that fresh Phragmitis Rhizoma could prevent airway inflammation from chronic bronchitis and promote cell repair by inhibiting the TGF-β signaling pathway.

RESUMO

Objective: To compare the difference of volatile specific odor components of Angelicae Sinensis Radix (ASR) processed by different methods such as yellow wine washing, dipping and firing, so as to provide research ideas for establishing the identification methods of different processed products of ASR and further study the mechanism of ASR traditional methods. Methods: Gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS) was used to detect and compare the volatile components of ASR samples washed with different concentrations and processed by different methods, and compare the composition changes. PCA, partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) were used to analyze the differences in volatile components combined with SIMCA 14.1 software. Results: GC-IMS fingerprints showed that the volatile components of ASR at different concentrations were different. It was identified that the volatile components included 55 monomers and dimers and polymers of some substances. 2-Octanol, E-2-heptan aldehydes, acetone, 2-pentanone and 5-methyl-2-furan methanol could be used as the characteristic volatile substances of yellow wine washing of ASR. Ethyl acetate, 3-methyl-1-pentanol, 2-hexanol and ethyl 2-methylbutyrate could be used as characteristic flavor substances of yellow wine dipping of ASR. Furfural dimer, 3-methylbutanol and benzaldehyde could be used as characteristic volatile substances of yellow wine firing of ASR. The results of PCA showed that the resolution of each group of samples was good. PLS-DA analysis showed that 2-undecenal, 2-butanone, and acetone were different components with different concentrations yellow wine washing of ASR samples. OPLS-DA analysis showed that 2-undecenal, ethyl octanoate, dimer and acetone were the main components of ASR samples processed by different methods. Conclusion: The GC-IMS technology combined with stoichiometry proved that the volatile components of ASR processed by yellow wine washing, dipping and firing were different, which provided a reference for further research on traditional processing methods in classical prescription.

RESUMO

The long-term use of benzimidazoles for the treatment of echinococcosis may cause multiple adverse reactions and low compliance. A search for novel agents, as an alternative of benzimidazoles, is therefore of great significance for the treatment of echinococcosis. This review focuses on the progress of researches on non-benzimidazoles for the clinical treatment of echinococcosis, including anti-parasitic agents, anti-proliferative agents and plant extracts, so as to provide insights into the further development of non-benzimidazoles.

RESUMO

Objective To analyze the sequences of the cytochrome C oxidase subunit I (Cox1) gene of various Echinococcus granulosus genotypes that are currently recorded in the GenBank database, so as to investigate the genetic variation and differentiation of the E. granulosus genotypes across the world. Methods The sequences of the Cox1 gene of various E. granulosus genotypes that are currently recorded in the GenBank database were collected, and the same sequences of the Cox1 gene identified from a region were excluded. The mutation sites among the Cox1 gene sequences were identified and a phylogenetic tree was created based on the Cox1 gene. Results Transversion mutation was the predominant type of mutation in the Cox1 gene of E. granulosus. The same Cox1 gene sequence was found in E. granulosus G1, G6 and G7 genotypes isolated from various geographical locations across the world, with the corresponding GenBank accession numbers of KY766891, MH300971 and MH301007, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that E. granulosus G10 genotype had a remarkable geographical aggregation. Conclusions E. granulosus G1, G6 and G7 genotypes have primitive Cox1 gene sequences. There is a geographical aggregation of the E. granulosus G10 genotype in the phylogenetic tree, which has a tendency towards reproductive isolation.

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo evaluate the efficiency of three Chinese commercial anti-Echinococcus antibody-based assays for the serodiagnosis of echinococcosis. MethodsA total of 142 sera from cystic echinococcosis patients, 89 sera from alveolar echinococcosis and 39 sera from healthy controls were sampled, and detected by kits A (ELISA), B (ELISA) and C (colloidal gold immunoassay). The routine blood testing results and biochemical parameters were compared between the cystic and alveolar echinococcosis patients, and the associations of the absorbance (A value) of the serum specific antibody detected by A and B kits with the routine blood testing results and biochemical parameters were examined in echinococcosis patients. In addition, the performance of these three assays for the serodiagnosis of echinococcosis was evaluated. Results There were no significant differences between the cystic and alveolar echinococcosis patients in terms of the median white blood cell count (WBC), neutrophil count (NEU), monocyte count (MONO), basophil count (BASO), alanine aminotransferase concentration (ALT), aspirate aminotransferase concentration (AST), total bilirubin (TBIL), direct bilirubin (DBIL), indirect bilirubin (IBIL) (all P values > 0.05), and higher median lymphocyte count (LYM) and albumin levels (ALB) were detected in cystic echinococcosis patients than in alveolar echinococcosis patients (both P values < 0.05), while the median eosinophil count (EOS) was greater in the alveolar echinococcosis patients than in the cystic echinococcosis patients (P < 0.01). The A value of the serum specific antibody detected by kit A showed a linear positive correlation with WBC (rs = 0.153, P < 0.05) and EOS (rs = 0.174, P < 0.05), and a linear negative correlation with TBIL (rs = -0.134, P < 0.05) and IBIL (rs = -0.146, P < 0.05), while the A value of the serum specific antibody detected by kit B showed a linear positive correlation with WBC (rs = 0.257, P < 0.01), NEU (rs = 0.203, P < 0.01), MONO (rs = 0.159, P < 0.05), EOS (rs = 0.330, P < 0.01), ALT (rs = 0.171, P < 0.01) and AST (rs = 0.160, P < 0.05), and a linear negative correlation with ALB (rs = -0.168, P < 0.05). The overall coincidence rate, sensitivity, specificity, Youden’s index and Kappa value of A, B and C kits were 86.30%, 69.63% and 91.48%; 84.42%, 64.94% and 92.21%; 97.44%, 97.44% and 87.18%; 0.82, 0.62 and 0.79; and 0.600, 0.337 and 0.750 for the diagnosis of echinococcosis, respectively. The overall coincidence rate, sensitivity, specificity and Youden’s index of A, B and C kits were 84.54%, 64.64% and 71.82%; 80.99%, 55.63% and 68.31%; 97.44%, 97.44% and 87.18%; and 0.78, 0.53 and 0.56 for the diagnosis of cystic echinococcosis, respectively, while the overall coincidence rate, sensitivity, specificity and Youden’s index of A, B and C kits were 92.19%, 85.16% and 85.16%; 89.89%, 79.78% and 84.27%; 97.44%, 97.44% and 87.18%; and 0.87, 0.77 and 0.72 for the diagnosis of alveolar echinococcosis, respectively. The C kit showed cross-reactions in the serodiagnosis of cystic echinococcosis and alveolar echinococcosis. There were no significant difference in the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) between A and B kits for the diagnosis of echinococcosis (0.970 vs. 0.948, Z = 1.618, P > 0.05), and there was a high agreement between A and B kits in the diagnosis of echinococcosis (Kappa = 0.585, P < 0.01). Conclusions The three commercial anti-Echinococcus antibody-based kits exhibit a higher serodiagnostic efficiency for alveolar echinococcosis than for cystic echinococcosis. The A kit shows a high sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of echinococcosis, and has a relatively stable diagnostic performance and fewer influencing factors, which is suitable for the pre-surgical preliminary diagnosis and post-surgical follow-up monitoring of serum anti-Echinococcus antibody, while the C kit shows a high sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of echinococcosis, and is easy to perform and high in reporting rate, which is feasible for initial screening of echinococcosis.

Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) and visual analogue scale (VAS) before and at the latest follow up were evaluated. Disc height (DH) and spine- pelvic sagittal parameters of the surgical segment were measured before and at the latest follow- up, including pelvic incidence (PI), pelvic tilt (PT), sacral slope (SS) and lumbar lordosis (LL). According to the difference of PI-LL, it was judged whether PI and LL match and the patients were grouped, PI-LL ranged from -9° to 9° was set as matching group, and PI-LL less than -9° or larger than 9° was set as mismatching group. The spine-pelvic sagittal parameters were analyzed before and at the latest follow-up of OLIF in patients with lumbar degenerative diseases, and the correlation between changes and clinical efficacy was compared.@*RESULTS@#All patients were followed up from 8 to 20 months with an average of (14.20±3.68) months. Operation time was (91.54±25.97) min, intraoperative blood loss was (48.15±10.14) ml, and the hospitalization time ranged from 6 to 19 days with an average of (9.28± 2.50) days. Totally 84 surgical levels, 46 patients were single segment and 19 patients were double segments. VAS and ODI score were improved from (4.88±0.99) point, (67.60±13.73) % preoperatively to (2.85±1.30) points, (30.57±6.48) % at the latest follow-up. There were significant differences in VAS and ODI scores between before and at the latest follow-up. The sagittal parameters of LL, PT, SS, PI, PI -LL and the surgical level DH were (42.80 ±16.35)° , (23.22 ±10.91)° , (26.95 ± 13.30)°, (50.22±14.51)°, (7.53±16.13) °, (0.91±0.29) cm preoperatively and improved to the latest follow-up (49.95± 12.82) °, (17.94±9.24) °, (33.71±12.66) °, (51.65±10.26) °, (1.68±17.00) °, (1.20±0.40) cm;there were statistical differences in LL, PT, SS, PI-LL, DH before operation and at the latest follow up, while no difference in PI. LL of preoperative PI-LL in matched group was (48.76±11.09)° , and (38.00±18.37)° in PI-LL mismatch group, there was difference between two groups. There were no differences in VAS, ODI, PT, SS, PI and DH between two groups. At the latest follow-up, ODI between PI-LL matched group and PI-LL mismatched group were (29.40±5.93)% and (32.86±7.02)% respectively, and had difference in ODI between two groups;while there were no significant differences in VAS, LL, PT, SS, PI, and DH. Pearson correlation analysis showed preoperative PT-LL was positively correlated with VAS;PT was positively correlated with ODI at the latest follow-up.@*CONCLUSION@#OLIF has a good surgical effect on lumbar degenerative diseases, and could change spine-pelvic sagittal parameters of patient to a certain extent, and further restoring the balance of the sagittal plane of lumbar spine.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the prognostic value of plasma miR-1290 in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).@*METHODS@#Seventy patients with OSCC admitted to Danzhou People's Hospital from January 2014 to December 2018 were included in this study. Real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to detect the expression of miR-1290 in these patients. The optimal cut-off value of plasma miR-1290 expression was determined by the ROC curve method, and patients with OSCC were divided into the high (n=31) and low (n=39) miR-1290-expressing groups. The clinicopathological features of the two groups were compared, and survival curves were drawn using the Kaplan-Meier method. Risk factors affecting the poor prognosis of patients were analyzed using univariate and multivariate COX regression models.@*RESULTS@#The expression level of plasma miR-1290 in the OSCC group was significantly lower than that in the control group (0.65±0.14 vs. 2.06±0.90; t=13.912, P<0.001). The low expression of plasma miR-1290 appeared to be related to the clinical stage, differentiation degree, tumor diameter, and lymph node metastasis of OSCC (P<0.05). Survival analysis showed that the overall survival rate and the progression-free survival rate of the low-miR-1290 group were significantly lower than that of the high-miR-1290 group (P<0.01). Multivariate COX regression analysis showed that clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, and plasma miR-1290<1.14 were independent risk factors for the poor prognosis of patients with OSCC (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#The expression level of plasma miR-1290 in patients with OSCC significantly decreased, and the low expression of miR-1290 is related to the short survival time of OSCC patients. Thus, miR-1290 may be a potential marker predicting the poor prognosis of OSCC.

RESUMO

Axonal damage leads to permanent defects in the adult mammals central nervous system. As an important axonal growth inhibitor, Nogo-A and its receptors involve in the regulation of synaptic plasticity in mature neurons of the central nervous system, and play a role in the related neurological diseases, such as spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and posttraumatic stress disorder.
