ABSTRACT Objectives: This study aimed to examine the relationship between vertical jumping at forces of specific time phase and sprint performance in teenage sprinters. Methods: Fifteen male teenage sprinters (age: 14±2 years, height: 168±2 cm, weight: 61±1 kg) participated in the study. The subjects performed the following bilateral/unilateral jumps on a force platform: a) squat jump (SJ), b) unilateral SJ (USJ), c) 40cm drop jump (DJ), and d) 20cm unilateral DJ (UDJ). The 60m sprint test was administered on the second day. Brower split timers were positioned to record subjects' 5m, 10m, 50m and 60m split times. The variables for inclusion were vertical jump height, maximum force, and force output at 120ms in all jumps and sprint time measures. Results: The results of the Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis showed that SJ120ms was correlated to 5m and USJ120ms was correlated to 10m. UDJ120ms showed a stronger correlation with 50m than DJ120ms. Although significant correlations using maximum force and height were observed, there were inconsistent results between bilateral and unilateral jumps. Conclusion: Our results highlighted that jumps that have similar form with certain force outputs at specific event timing could more precisely predict sprint performance in teenage sprinters. USJ120ms and UDJ120ms could better predict the acceleration (10m) and high-speed phase (50m) in sprint performance, respectively. Moreover, coaches and practitioners should be cautious when using only jump height or maximum force to predict sprint performance, since the results could be inaccurate when specific movement variables are not thoughtfully considered. RESUMEN Objetivos: Este estudio tuvo como objetivo examinar la relación entre el salto vertical y la fuerza en tiempo específico y el desempeño del sprint en velocistas adolescentes. Métodos: Participaron en el estudio quince adolescentes varones velocistas (edades: 14 ± 2 años, estatura: 168 ± 2 cm, peso: 61 ± 1 kg). Los individuos realizaron los siguientes saltos bilaterales y unilaterales en una plataforma de fuerza: a) squat jump (SJ), b) SJ unilateral (USJ), c) drop jump (DJ) de 40 cm e d) DJ unilateral (UDJ) de 20 cm. La prueba de sprint de 60 m se realizó el segundo día. Los cronómetros en el entrenamiento fraccionado se ajustaron para registrar tiempos de 5 m, 10 m, 50 m y 60 m. Las variables que se incluyeron fueron la altura del salto vertical, la fuerza máxima y la salida de fuerza a 120 m en todos los saltos y mediciones del tiempo del sprint. Resultados: Los resultados del análisis de correlación producto-tiempo de Pearson revelaron que el SJ de 120 m estaba correlacionado con 5 m y el USJ de 120 m estaba correlacionado con 10 m. El UDJ de 120 m tuvo una mayor correlación con el DJ de 50 m que con el de 120 m. Aunque se observaron correlaciones significativas con la fuerza y la altura máximas, algunos resultados fueron inconsistentes entre los saltos bilaterales y unilaterales. Conclusiones: Nuestros resultados pusieron de manifiesto que los saltos con una forma similar a determinadas salidas de fuerza en un tiempo específico del evento pueden predecir con mayor precisión el desempeño en el sprint en adolescentes velocistas. El USJ de 120 m y el UDJ de 120 m pueden predecir mejor, respectivamente, la aceleración (10 m) y la fase de alta velocidad (50 m) en el desempeño del sprint. Además, los entrenadores y practicantes deben ser cautelosos a la hora de utilizar únicamente la altura del salto o la fuerza máxima para predecir el desempeño en el sprint, ya que los resultados pueden ser inexactos cuando no se tienen en cuenta con precisión las variables específicas del movimiento. O teste de sprint de 60 m foi realizado no segundo dia. Os cronômetros rastreadores para treinos fracionados foram posicionados para registrar os tempos fracionados de 5 m, 10 m, 50 m e 60 m. As variáveis para inclusão foram altura do salto vertical, força máxima e saída de força a 120 m em todos os saltos e medidas de tempo do sprint. Resultados: Os resultados da análise da correlação produto-tempo de Pearson mostraram que o SJ de 120 m foi correlacionado com 5 m e USJ de 120 m foi correlacionado com 10 m. O UDJ de 120 m teve correlação mais forte com DJ de 50 m do que de 120 m. Embora tenham sido observadas correlações significativas com força e altura máximas, alguns resultados foram inconsistentes entre os saltos bilaterais e unilaterais. Conclusões: Nossos resultados destacaram que os saltos com forma semelhante a certas saídas de força no tempo específico do evento podem prever com mais precisão o desempenho no sprint em adolescentes velocistas. O USJ de 120 m e o UDJ de 120 m podem prever melhor, respectivamente, a aceleração (10 m) e a fase de alta velocidade (50 m) no desempenho no sprint. Além disso, treinadores e praticantes devem ser cautelosos ao usar apenas a altura do salto ou a força máxima para prever o desempenho no sprint, uma vez que os resultados podem ser imprecisos quando variáveis específicas do movimento não forem consideradas com precisão. Objectives: To analyze the causes of a foodborne outbreak in rural areas of Xinjiang between April 2 and April 5 in 2016. Methods: Cases and the relevant background information were obtained by consulting outpatient records of local health centers and regional people's hospitals and interviewing doctors and residents. All samples were collected by the laboratory test through epidemiological and food hygiene investigations. The χ2 test (Fisher's exact probability method) was used to compare differences in incidence rates. Molecular typing, virulence genes and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPS) were analyzed by using Pulsed Field Gel Electrophoresis (PFGE) and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS). Results: A total of 142 cases were found in this study, with incidence rate at 5.7‰ (142/24 979). Among all cases, the main symptoms were nausea (94%), vomiting (92%) and abdominal pain (67%), and the incubation period was about 2 h (1-7.5 h). There were 16 Staphylococcus aureus isolates identified and all of them could produce A+C+E mixed enterotoxin. PFGE showed 100% homology. WGS further revealed that there were 9 and 1 strains contained by Sequence Type 1 (ST1) and ST5405, respectively. All ST1 strains were in the same clade on the genome tree. Among these, 7 strains shared close proximity (74 SNPs) and 2 strains shared close relationships as well (127 SNPs). The S. aureus isolates that caused the outbreak were introduced by a mutant isolate from the milk supply station. Conclusions: This foodborne outbreak was mainly caused by Staphylococcus aureus contamination.

RESUMO

Periodontal diseases are inflammatory diseases caused by oral pathogens around the periodontal supporting tissues, leading to systemic and chronic inflammatory conditions. The continuous chronic systemic inflammation may be a trigger of neuroinflammation, which is the prominent feature of a variety of neurological disorders. It implies that there may be a causal link between periodontal diseases and neurological disorders. This article presents epidemiological and biological evidences that periodontal diseases can induce or exacerbate neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and major depressive disorder, and analyzes the possible mechanisms. The importance of maintaining oral health as well as preventing and treating periodontal diseases are emphasized. At the same time, this may provide novel approaches to study the relationship between periodontal diseases and neurological disorders in the prevention and treatment strategies of neurological disorders.

Based on the combination of ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF) and Waters UNIFI software, the chemical constituents of the classic prescription Xiaochengqi Decoction were qualitatively analyzed and identified. The UPLC conditions are as follows: Acquity HSS T3 reverse phase column(2.1 mm ×100 mm, 1.8 μm), column temperature of 30 ℃, mobile phase of 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution(A)-acetonitrile(B), and flow rate of 0.3 mL·min~(-1). High-resolution MS data of Xiaochengqi Decoction were collected in ESI~(+/-) modes by Fast DDA. The structures of the chemical constituents were tentatively characterized or identified by UNIFI software according to the retention time of reference standards and characteristic fragment ions in MS profile, and literature data. A total of 233 components in Xiaochengqi Decoction were identified, with 93 from wine-processed Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 104 from bran-processed Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, and 36 from ginger-processed Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex. These 233 components included anthraquinones, flavonoids, lignans, alkaloids, coumarins, and phenylethanoid glycosides. The result provided experimental evidence for the further study on establishment of quality standard and product development of the formula.

The chemical constituents of classical prescription Danggui Buxue Decoction were analyzed by reversed-phase(RP) chromatography and hydrophilic interaction chromatography(HILIC) coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry. RP separation of Danggui Buxue Decoction was performed on ACQUITY UPLC HSS T3(2.1 mm×100 mm, 1.8 μm), while HILIC separation was on Waters BEH Amide(2.1 mm×100 mm, 1.7 μm). Mass spectrometry(MS) data were acquired in both negative and positive ion modes. Chemical constituents of Astragali Radix and Angelicae Sinensis Radix were searched from Reaxys and thus the in-house library was established. MS data were further analyzed by MassLynx 4.1 combined with in-house library, HMDB, Reaxys, and comparison with reference substances. In conclusion, a total of 154 compounds were identified and characterized: 16 saponins, 44 flavonoids, 10 phthalides, 7 phenylpropanoids, 15 bases and the corresponding nucleosides, 30 oligosaccharides, and 32 other compounds. Among them, 65 compounds were detected by HILIC-MS/MS. This study provides experimental evidences for the material basis research, quality control, and preparation development of Danggui Buxue Decoction and a reference method for comprehensive characterization of Chinese medicine decoctions typified by classical prescriptions.

Objective To evaluate the effect of the water-saving irrigation project on Oncomelania hupensis snail control in hilly regions of Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. Methods A retrospective survey combined with cross-sectional investigation was employed. The implementation of the water-saving irrigation development project in Yixing City from 2005 to 2007 was retrospectively collected, and the snail status was collected in regions where the water-saving irrigation project was located and the project-affected regions from 2003 to 2018, to examine the effect of the project on snail control. In addition, a cross-sectional survey was performed to investigate the destruction of the water-saving irrigation project in 2018. Results A total of 22 water-saving irrigation projects were implemented in 5 townships in hilly regions of Yixing City from 2005 to 2007, where snail habitats were treated covering 266.97 hm2. Before the implementation of the project from 2003 to 2006, cumulative 47.87 hm2 snail habitats were detected in regions where the project was located, and no snails were found in regions where the project was located from the implementation of the project in 2006 to 2018. However, a few snails were found in the project-affected regions in 2017 and 2018. In addition, there were problems found in the later-stage maintenance and management of the project. Conclusions The water-saving irrigation projects shows a high efficiency on snail control in hilly regions of Yixing City. The later-stage maintenance of the project and monitoring of snails remain to be intensified to enhance the snail control efficiency of the water-saving irrigation project.

At present, the traditional models for cancer research include the 2D cell model, human tumor xenograft model and animal model. With the deepening of research, the traditional tumor model is unable to meet the needs of researchers. Organoid model is derived from the surgical specimens of tumor patients, which can completely preserve the histological and genomic characteristics of tumor. It can be used in the research of tumor pathogenesis, drug screening, personalized treatment of patients, etc. Compared with traditional model, it has the advantages of short modeling time, economic benefits and closer-ness to the characteristics of the original tumor. This paper mainly focuses on the research status of organoid technology in tumor, the application of organoid model in treatment, and the advantages of organoid model compared with traditional model, so as to provide reference for the follow-up research.

OBJECTIVE@#To explore clinical effect of early incision and decompression combined with screw fixation in treating Lisfranc injury and foot osteofascial compartment syndrome.@*METHODS@#Clinical data of 5 patients with Lisfranc injury and foot osteofascial compartment syndrome were retrospective analysized from January 2017 to December 2018, including 4 males and 1 female, aged from 19 to 62 years old. All patients were suffered from closed injuries. The time from injury to treatment ranged from 1 to 14 h. According to Myerson classification, 1 patient was type A, 1 patient was type B, and 3 patients were type C. All patients were performed early incision decompression and screw fixation. Maryland foot functional scoring standard at 12 months after opertaion was used to evaluate clinical effect.@*RESULTS@#All patients were followed up for 10 to 48 months. All fractures were achieved bone union, and healing time ranged from 3 to 9 months. All metatarsal and tarsal joints were reached to anatomical reduction. No infection, osteomyelitis, loosening or breaking of internal fixation occurred. Postopertaive Maryland foot function score at 12 months was from 44 to 97, and 2 patients got excellent result, 2 good, and 1 poor.@*CONCLUSION@#Early incision and decompression with screw fixation for the treatment of Lisfranc injury and foot osteofascial compartment syndrome, which has advantages of simple opertaion, thoroughly decompression, screw fixation does not occupy space, stable decompression and fixation, and could receive satisfied clinical effect.

RESUMO

Due to their fascinating chemical structures and extensive pharmacological activities, polycyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinols(PPAPs) have become one of the current research hotspots of natural products. In particular, some of the PPAPs not only have novel non-traditional skeleton types, but also contain more unknown possible activities, which are of great significance for the development of lead compounds. The structure, source, biosynthetic pathway and pharmacological activities of PPAPs with non-traditio-nal skeleton types isolated and identified in recent years are reviewed, in order to provide references for further research on such compounds.

BACKGROUND@#The predictive value of hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) levels in non-diabetic patients with myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is still controversial. This study aimed to evaluate whether HbA1c levels were independently associated with adverse clinical outcomes in non-diabetic patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) who had undergone PCI by performing a meta-analysis of cohort studies.@*METHODS@#This meta-analysis included non-diabetic patients with CAD who had undergone PCI. A systematic search for publications listed in the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases from commencement to December 2018 was conducted. Studies evaluating the adverse clinical outcomes according to abnormal HbA1c levels in non-diabetic patients diagnosed with CAD who had undergone PCI were eligible. The primary outcomes were long-term all-cause deaths and long-term major adverse cardiac events, and the secondary outcome was short-term all-cause deaths. The meta-analysis was conducted with RevMan 5.3 and Stata software 14.0. Odds ratios (ORs) were pooled using a random or fixed-effects model, depending on the heterogeneity of the included studies. Sub-group analysis or sensitivity analysis was conducted to explore potential sources of heterogeneity, when necessary.@*RESULTS@#Six prospective cohort studies involving 10,721 patients met the inclusion criteria. From the pooled analysis, abnormal HbA1c levels were associated with increased risk for long-term all-cause death (OR 1.39, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.16-1.68, P = 0.001, I = 45%). Sub-group analysis suggested that abnormal HbA1c levels between 6.0% and 6.5% predicted higher long-term major adverse cardiac event (including all-cause deaths, non-fatal myocardial infarction, target lesion revascularization, target vessel revascularization, recurrent acute myocardial infarction, heart failure requiring hospitalization, and stent thrombosis) risk (OR 2.05, 95% CI 1.46-2.87, P < 0.001, I = 0). Contrarily, elevated HbA1c levels were not associated with increased risk of short-term all-cause death (OR 1.16, 95% CI 0.88-1.54, P = 0.300, I = 0).@*CONCLUSIONS@#An abnormal HbA1c level is an independent risk factor for long-term adverse clinical events in non-diabetic patients with CAD after PCI. Strict control of HbA1c levels may improve patient survival. Further studies in different countries and prospective cohort studies with a large sample size are required to verify the association.

Objective:To discuss the clinical efficacy of Yixinshu capsule for viral myocarditis (VMC) with deficiency of Qi and Yin, and to investigate its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect. Method:One hundred and thirty-two patients were randomly divided into control group (66 cases) and observation group (66 cases) by random number table. Patients in two group got comprehensive treatment of Western medicine, i.e. intravenous drip of creatine phosphate injection for 14 days, 1 g/time, 1 time/day. Coenzyme Q10 capsule, 1 grain/time, 3 times/day after meals. Trimetazidine dihydrochloride tablets, 1 tablet/time, 3 times/day during meals. And critically ill patients got intravenous drip of dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection for 14 days, 10-20 mg/time, 1 time/day. The control group took Wenxin granules orally,One bag at a time,3 times/day. Patients in observation group additionally got Yixinshu capsule, 3 grains/time, 3 times/days. The courses of treatment were 8 weeks in both groups. The serum troponin I (cTnI) and creatine phosphokinase (CK-MB) were monitored, and after treatment, the recovery rates of cTnI, CK-MB were recorded. Before and after treatment, the electrocardiogram was observed and the recovery rate after treatment was recorded. Before and after treatment, the scores of deficiency of Qi and Yin were graded, and levels of creatine phosphokinase (CPK), hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase (HBDH), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), interferon-γ (IFN-γ), interleukin-10 (IL-10), IL-17 and IL-35 were detected. Echocardiography, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), cardiac index (CI), and maximum velocity values between early and late diastolic (E/A) were detected. Result:In the analysis of rank sum test, clinical efficacy in observation group was better than that in control group (Z=2.151, P<0.05). Recovery rates of cTnI, CK-MB and electrocardiogram in observation group were 82.26% (51/62), 90.32% (56/62) and 80.65% (50/62), higher than 65.00% (39/60), 73.33% (44/60) and 63.33% (38/60) in control group (P<0.05). Levels of serum cTnI, CK-MB, CPK, HBDH, LDH, AST, MDA, IFN-γ and IL-17 were lower than those in control group (P<0.01), while levels of LVEF, CI, E/A, SOD, GSH-Px, IL-10 and IL-35 were higher than those in control group (P<0.01). Conclusion:On the basis of comprehensive anti-infection treatment, Yixinshu capsule can additional protect myocardium by anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect, reduce myocardial enzyme, promote the recovery of ECG and cardiac enzyme, improve cardiac function and improve the effect of clinical treatment.

Objective:The molecular connectivity index method and total statistical moment method were used to control the quality of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and the stability and consistency of volatile components of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos and Lonicerae Flos were clarified. Method:Volatile oils in Lonicerae Japonicae Flos and Lonicerae Flos from different producing areas was extracted for GC-MS determination with electron bombardment ion source, ion source temperature of 230 ℃, and detection range of m/z 35-650. Then National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 05 and ChemicalBook database were used for qualitative analysis of these volatile components, the peak area normalization method was used for quantitative analysis, and the total statistical moment parameters and the zero-order, first-order, second-order, third-order molecular connectivity indexes of the components were calculated. Result:Number of peaks (RSD were 28.5%, 33.4%, respectively), total zero-order moments (RSD were 55.5%, 128.9%, respectively) and total second-order moments (RSD were 15.3%, 21.5%, respectively) of 10 batches of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos and Lonicerae Flos were unstable, indicating that the types and contents of volatile components fluctuated sharply, but the total first-order moments (RSD were 7.5%, 8.8%, respectively) and the zero-order, first-order, second-order and third-order molecular connectivity indexes (RSD ranged from 8.1% to 10.3% and 4.2% to 5.5%, respectively) were relatively stable, indicating that the overall "imprinting template" of the components was similar. Statistical analysis of each parameter found that there were no significant differences in the number of peaks, total first-order moments and zero-order, first-order, second-order, third-order molecular connectivity indexes between volatile oils from Lonicerae Japonicae Flos and Lonicerae Flos. Conclusion:Under the guidance of supramolecular gas evolution "imprinting template" theory, the molecular connectivity index method and total statistical moment parameters are used to jointly characterize the "imprinting template" of TCM components in vitro, which can control the stability and consistency of TCM quality.

Objective To analyze the results of echinococcosis surveillance in Yixing City from 2011 to 2018, so as to provide insights into echinococcosis control in the city. Methods All echinococcosis cases reported in Yixing City since 2007 that were captured from the China National Notifiable Infectious Disease Reporting Information System of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention received a case study, and serological test and transabdominal B-mode ultrasound screening were performed among permanent residents and mutton market workers in Fangdong and Fangzhuang villages of Yixing City from 2011 to 2018. The cyst, mass and tubercle were detected in the liver and lung of the sheep from the mutton markets, and the Echinococcus coproantigen was detected in the canine stool samples from Fangdong and Fangzhuang villages. In addition, the awareness of echinococcosis prevention and control knowledge was investigated in the two villages using a questionnaire survey from 2011 to 2018. Results A total of 7 cases with echinococcosis had been reported in Yixing City since 2007, with prevalence of 0.56/100 000, and all cases were E. granulosus-infected patients, including 2 cases with a history to travel to echinococcosis-endemic areas and 5 cases with a history of working in local mutton markets or dog contacts. From 2011 to 2018, a total of 1 861 residents received serological tests, with 0.54% seropositivity, and no seropositives were detected since 2016. Among the 1 807 individuals receiving transabdominal B-mode ultrasound screening, suspected cysts were found in 143 individuals (7.91%), and 1.40% (2/143) seropositivity was detected in these individuals. The mean positive rate of the Echinococcus coproantigen was 0.67% (3 /446) in the canine stool samples. Among the 4 010 sheep liver and lung specimens sampled from the mutton markets, 7 specimens (0.17%) were detected with cysts or tubercles. In addition, the mean awareness rate of echinococcosis prevention and control knowledge was 76.95% among the 538 subjects receiving questionnaire surveys from 2011 to 2018, and the overall awareness appeared a tendency towards a rise year after year. Conclusions Although the prevalence of echinococcosis and the seropositivity of anti-Echinococcus antibodies are low, there is still a risk of transmission of echinococcosis in Yixing City. The surveillance of echinococcosis should continue to be intensified and related control interventions are required.

Objective To analyze the results of echinococcosis surveillance in Yixing City from 2011 to 2018, so as to provide insights into echinococcosis control in the city. Methods All echinococcosis cases reported in Yixing City since 2007 that were captured from the China National Notifiable Infectious Disease Reporting Information System of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention received a case study, and serological test and transabdominal B-mode ultrasound screening were performed among permanent residents and mutton market workers in Fangdong and Fangzhuang villages of Yixing City from 2011 to 2018. The cyst, mass and tubercle were detected in the liver and lung of the sheep from the mutton markets, and the Echinococcus coproantigen was detected in the canine stool samples from Fangdong and Fangzhuang villages. Objectives Anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) is an important component of antiphospholipid antibody (aPL) and a marker antibody of antiphospholipid syndrome (aPS). APL is positive in 20% to 40% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). This article investigated the clinical features and prognosis of SLE patients with aCL. Methods From January 1999 to December 2009, 495 cases of SLE patients detected aCL who were hospitalized for the first time in 26 hospitals in Jiangsu Province including Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital were divided into aCL-positive group and aCL-negative group according to the test results. The patients were followed up in survival status, and the demographic characteristics, affected organs, laboratory tests, treatment drugs, and prognosis were compared between two groups. Results 146 of the SLE patients in this group were positive for aCL. The proportion of women in aCL- positive group (96.6%) was significantly higher than that in aCL-negative group (90.8%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The proportion of anemia (74.7% vs 61.3%), decreased C3(81.5% vs 71.1%), positive antinuclear antibody(97.2% vs 92.4%), and positive anti-dsDNA antibody (61.9% vs 49.6%) in aCL-positive group were significantly higher than those of aCL-negative group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The aCL-positive group received a higher proportion of cyclophosphamide immunosuppressive therapy (39.5% vs 50.7%, P<0.05). At the end of follow-up, the mortality rate of aCL-positive group was 13.7%, and the mortality rate of aCL-negative group was 14.9% and there was no significant difference in mortality (P>0.05). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the 1-year, 5-year, and 10-year survival rates of aCL-positive group were 94.5%, 89.0%, and 82.9%, respectively, and there was no significant difference compared with aCL-negative group(P=0.776). The main causes of death in aCL-positive group were lupus encephalopathy (6 cases, 30.0%), renal failure (5 cases, 25.0%), heart failure (4 cases, 20.0%) and infection (3 cases, 15%). The main causes of death in aCL-negative group were infection (21 cases, 40.4%), lupus encephalopathy (11 cases, 21.2%) and heart failure (5 cases, 9.6%) and renal failure (4 cases, 7.7%). Conclusion SLE patients with aCL represent a high propotion in anemia, decreased C3, positive antinuclear antibody, positive anti-dsDNA antibody. There was no significant difference in disease activity and significant organ involvement between two groups. More SLE patients with aCL were treated with cyclophosphamide, and there was no significant difference in survival status between SLE patients with and without aCL during long-term follow-up.

BACKGROUND@#The mortality of cardiovascular disease is constantly rising, and novel biomarkers help us predict residual risk. This study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of serum homocysteine (HCY) levels on prognosis in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).@*METHODS@#The 419 consecutive patients with STEMI, treated at one medical center, from March 2010 to December 2015 were retrospectively investigated. Peripheral blood samples were obtained within 24 h of admission and HCY concentrations were measured using an enzymatic cycling assay. The patients were divided into high HCY level (H-HCY) and low HCY level (L-HCY) groups. Short- and long-term outcomes were compared, as were age-based subgroups (patients aged 60 years and younger vs. those older than 60 years). Statistical analyses were mainly conducted by Student t-test, Chi-squared test, logistic regression, and Cox proportional-hazards regression.@*RESULTS@#The H-HCY group had more males (84.6% vs. 75.4%, P = 0.018), and a lower prevalence of diabetes (20.2% vs. 35.5%, P < 0.001), compared with the L-HCY group. During hospitalization, there were seven mortalities in the L-HCY group and 10 in the H-HCY group (3.3% vs. 4.8%, P = 0.440). During the median follow-up period of 35.8 (26.9-46.1) months, 33 (16.2%) patients in the L-HCY group and 48 (24.2%) in the H-HCY group experienced major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) (P = 0.120). History of hypertension (hazard ratio [HR]: 1.881, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.178-3.005, P = 0.008) and higher Killip class (HR: 1.923, 95% CI: 1.419-2.607, P < 0.001), but not HCY levels (HR: 1.007, 95% CI: 0.987-1.027, P = 0.507), were significantly associated with long-term outcomes. However, the subgroup analysis indicated that in older patients, HCY levels were significantly associated with long-term outcomes (HR: 1.036, 95% CI: 1.011-1.062, P = 0.005).@*CONCLUSION@#Serum HCY levels did not independently predict in-hospital or long-term outcomes in patients with STEMI; however, among elderly patients with STEMI, this study revealed a risk profile for late outcomes that incorporated HCY level.

Objective :To explore influence of small and dense low density lipoprotein (sdLDL) on in-stent restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods : A total of 631 CHD inpatients ,who received PCI in our department from Feb 2015 to Feb 2017were followed up for 12 months ,and 240 cases were successfully followed up . According to coronary angiography (CAG) results ,the vascular diameter stenosis ≥50% regard as in-stent resteno-sis ,all patients were divided into restenosis group (n=105) and no stenosis group (n=135).Another 35 healthy volunteers undergoing physical examination simultaneously were treated as healthy control groups .Serum levels of sdLDL ,serum lipid TC ,TG ,HDL-C and LDL-C were measured and compared among all groups .Correlation be-tween serum sdLDL level and Gensini score was analyzed in CHD patients .Results : There were no significant difference in levels of serumlipids between restenosis group and no stenosis group , P> 0. 05 all.Compared with healthy control group ,there was significant rise in serum sdLDL level [ (0.451 ± 0.135) mmol/Lvs .(0.673 ± 0.281) mmol/L] in CHD group , P=0.001 ;compared with no stenosis group ,there were significant rise in serum sdLDL level [(0.606 ± 0.276) mmol/L vs.(0.695 ± 0.304) mmol/L] and Gensini score [(40.23 ± 9.24) scores vs. (58.42 ± 10.37) scores] in restenosis group (P=0.019 ,0.001) respectively.Linear correlation analysis indicated that serum sdLDL level was significant positively correlated with Gensini score in CHD patients ( r= 0.514 , P= 0.032).Conclusion :Elevated serum sdLDL level suggests high risk of in-stent restenosis in CHD patients .It can provide reference for disease condition assessment and adverse event prevention after PCI .

Objective To study the routine examination of Aconitum sinomontanum Nakai and determine the contents of lappacontine and ranaconitine; To provide basis for establishing the quality standard of Aconitum sinomontanum Nakai.Methods Aconitum sinomontanum Nakai were collected from different areas.A method of TLC was used for qualitative discrimination. The methods in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia were adopted for the determination of moisture content, ash content and extractives. Determination of lappacontine and ranaconitine were performed by HPLC. Results The TLC showed that the spots were clear and the separation was good. Individual provisional standards:the moisture,total ash and acid-insoluble ash content of Aconitum sinomontanum Nakai were not more than 11.0%, 12.0%, and 7.0%, respectively; water soluble and alcohol soluble extractives were not less than 18.2% and 10.6%,respectively.The content of ranaconitine and lappacontine in Aconitum sinomontanum Nakai were not less than 0.125% and 0.815%, respectively. Conclusion The method established by the study is accurate and reliable,and can be used for quality evaluation of Aconitum sinomontanum Nakai.
