RESUMO

Background and Objectives@#Circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) participate in vascular repair and predict cardiovascular outcomes. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between EPCs and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs). @*Methods@#and Results: Patients (age 67±9.41 years) suffering from AAAs (aortic diameters 58.09±11.24 mm) were prospectively enrolled in this study. All patients received endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). Blood samples were taken preoperatively and 14 days after surgery from patients with aortic aneurysms. Samples were also obtained from age-matched control subjects. Circulating EPCs were defined as those cells that were double positive for CD34 and CD309. Rat models of AAA formation were generated by the peri-adventitial elastase application of either saline solution (control; n=10), or porcine pancreatic elastase (PPE; n=14). The aortas were analyzed using an ultrasonic video system and immunohistochemistry. The levels of CD34+/CD309+ cells in the peripheral blood mononuclear cell populations were measured by flow cytometry. The baseline numbers of circulating EPCs (CD34+/CD309+) in the peripheral blood were significantly smaller in AAA patients compared with control subjects. The number of EPCs doubled by the 14th day after EVAR. A total of 78.57% of rats in the PPE group (11/14) formed AAAs (dilation ratio >150%). The numbers of EPCs from defined AAA rats were significantly decreased compared with the control group. @*Conclusions@#EPC levels may be useful for monitoring abdominal aorta aneurysms and rise after EVAR in patients with aortic aneurysms, and might contribute to the rapid endothelialization of vessels.

RESUMO

Objective To compare the clinical value of hepatitis C virus (HCV)antibody(HCV-Ab),hepatitis C virus core anti-gen (HCV-cAg),hepatitis C virus ribonucleic acid (HCV-RNA)in diagnosis for hepatitis C.Methods A total of 258 patients with hepatitis C were recruited in this study,HCV-RNA was detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR detection,HCV-Ab and HCV-cAg were detected by the double antigen sandwich ELISA statutory, and the test data was analyze. Results The result of HCV-Ab detection was significant difference with those of HCV-cAg and HCV-RNA detection respectively(P 0.05).Conclusion The coincidence rate of HCV-cAg detection and HCV-RNA detection was high, and complement with HCV-Ab,the early detection could be done to prevent the omission of HCV infection and to improve the detection rate.

RESUMO

Objective To understand correctly the hook like effect of the immune transmission and transmission turbidity in the automatic biochemical analyzer and the prevention of the hook like effect .Methods First ,it had the function set of measurement linear range of the upper limit of the instrument and the instrument automatic dilution redo ,and then ,had determination of excee‐ding the upper limit of measurement range and artificial dilution before the sample setting .Results The group average value was 2 .49 g/Lbefore the determination setting ,3 .31 g/L after the determination setting ,and 3 .33 g/L artificial dilution determination . Conclusion High dose hook effect makes the strong positive to weak positive samples of measurement by error ,even false negative results ,and high concentration sample makes low value .So the set of samples and dilution to determination of instrument ,measured values are more close to the true value .

RESUMO

Objective To observe the changes of bone mineral density (BMD) of boys and girls from 12 to14 years old in the urban areas and the suburbs of Beijing. Methods 613 middle school students were divided into the city group and the suburbs group, and whole body scanning was performed with dual energy X-ray bone densitometer. Results The values of BMD of the boys and girls in the urban areas were significantly higher than that in the suburbs (P

RESUMO

Objective To observe the changes of bone mineral density (BMD) in young boys and girls from 6-19 years old in Beijing area. Methods 1 139 healthy young boys and girls undergoing whole body scanning with dual energy X-ray bone densitometer were divided into different groups according to sex and age. Results There were no significant difference in body height, weight, BMD and bone mineral contents (BMC) between boys and girls from 6 to 10 years old. The annual growth rates of body height, BMD, and BMC were the fastest in girls from 6 to 14 and boys from 6 to 16 years old, respectively. Thereafter, the annual growth rates of body height, BMD, and BMC didn't significantly increase in boys and girls. There were two fast-growth periods in BMD growth stage, being at 11 and 14 years old in girls, and at 12 and 15 years old in boys. The total body BMD was significantly correlated with the height in girls under 12 years (P
