RESUMO

Objective:To study the treatment and outcomes of hepatic biloma after minimally invasive interventional therapies. Methods:From January 2013 to December 2018, patients who underwent transcatheter arterial chemoembolization, percutaneous microwave ablation, and percutaneous biliary drainage (PTBD) at the Affiliated Hospital to Jiangnan University (Wuxi No.3 Hospital) and developed postoperative biloma that required treatment were included into this study. Results:Of 43 bilomas, 14 were treated with percutaneous drainage. There were 9 males and 5 females, with an average age of 61(29-85) years. These bilomas could be classified into the following 3 types: extrahepatic bilomas (2 patients), simple bilomas (10 patients) and infected bilomas (2 patients). The treatments included PTBD, drainage of percutaneous biloma or a combination of both. Conclusion:Biloma is a known complication after minimally invasive interventional therapies. These bilomas could be classified to guide treatment and to improve prognosis.

RESUMO

Objective To evaluate the relationship between thioredoxin-interacting protein(TXNIP) and pancreaticβ-cell function in impaired glucose tolerance patients with and without hypertriglyceridemia. Methods A total of 267 subjects were enrolled in this study and divided into three groups:impaired glucose tolerance(IGT)group(n= 90),impaired glucose tolerance and hypertriglyceridemia(IGT +HTG)group(n=87)and normal glucose tolerance(NGT)group(n=90). The levels of plasma TXNIP were measured. Intravenous glucose tolerance test was performed to evaluate the first-phase insulin response(FPIR). HOMA forβ-cell function(HOMA-β)was calculated to evaluate basal pancreatic β-cell function. Results TXNIP was significantly higher in IGT group than in NGT group(P< 0.05). TXNIP was much higher in IGT+ HTG group than in IGT group (P<0.05). HOMA-βand FPIR were decreased gradually from NGT,IGT to IGT + HTG(P<0.05). Correlation analysis showed that HOMA-β and FPIR were negatively correlated with TXNIP(P< 0.05). Conclusion The level of TXNIP is increased in IGT,especially in IGT with hypertriglyceridemia. Basal and first-phase isletβ-cell function are all associated with TXNIP.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of MRI and CT for the liver space-occupying lesions. Methods:The clinical data of 70 cases of patients with liver space-occupying lesions in our hospital from June 2012 to May 2016 were divided into two groups and retrospectively analyzed.35 cases underwent contrast enhanced ct scans (CT group),and others underwent dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging(MRI group). The pathological diagnosis, number of lesions and lesions diameter were ompared between two groups. Results:No significant difference was found in the pathological diagnosis, number of lesions(71 vs 70) and lesions diameter(2.25 ± 2.01 cm vs 2.19± 1.98 cm) between two groups(P>0.05).As the gold standard by pathological diagnosis results, correct diagnostic rate of MRIgroup were 85.71%,which was 77.14% CT group and lower than that of the MRI group, but no significant difference was found between two groups (P>0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in CT group was significantly higher than that of the MRI group (P>0.05).Conelusion:Both CT and MRI enhancement scanning have higher diagnostic value for the liver space-occupying lesions, but MRI enhancement scanning has higher safety and tolerability.

RESUMO

Antibacterial peptides are a family of host-defense peptides most of which are gene-encoded and produced by living organisms of all types. Antibacterial peptides are small molecular proteins with broad antimicrobial spectrum against bacteria, viruses, fungi and sometimes even as anticancer peptide. SMAP-29, a cathelicidin-like peptide derived from sheep myeloid, line alpha-helical Structure, exerts a powerful broad antimicrobial activity against different pathogens including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites, spirochaetes, chlamydia and antiendotoxin activity, and particular antibacterial mechanism, rapidly to permeabilize membranes of susceptible organisms. This paper summarizes the lately research progress of SMAP-29 and Variants including the characteristics of structure, structure-activity relationships, mode of action, diverse biological functions, gene recombinant and expression. We put emphasis on the necessity of molecular design, and primary and secondary structure-based modification, to provides a strong foundation for further drug development and design of SMAP-29.

RESUMO

Duck IL-18 gene was amplified from plasmid pGEM-DuIL-18 by PCR. The PCR product digested with Pst I and Xho I was inserted into eukaryotic express vector pcDNA3.1(+) to generate an recombinant expression plasmid pcDNA3.1/DuIL-18 (pDuIL-18), and transformed into Escherichia coli JM109. The recombinant colonies were identified by restriction enzyme digestion, PCR and sequencing. DNA sequence confirmed the correct sequence of the recombinant eukaryotic expression plasmid pDuIL-18 in the reading frame and the ligation part. After the transfection of pDuIL-18 into Cos7 cells, duck IL-18 mRNA was expressed in Cos7 cell. The SDS-PAGE analysis showed that the expressed duck IL-18 protein had molecular weight of 23 000 D. The results of methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay showed that duck IL-18 protein expressed in Cos7 cell could induce significantly transformation of duck T lymphocytes. Immunoenhancement effect of recombinant expression plasmid pDuIL18 on avian influenza vaccine was observed by proliferation response of the T lymphocytes from spleen. It can obviously enhance the cell-mediated immune response.

RESUMO

In this paper, a newly-designed device is introduced, which uses non-dispersive infrared absorption technique to acquire anesthesia gas concentration signal and to perform side-stream measurement in the air way. The microcontroller is adopted to implement data acquisition, data processing and then to transmit the data to the PC screen, thus the real-time continuous invasive concentration monitoring of the anesthesia gas in the patient's respiratory air can be realized during a surgical operation.
