OBJECTIVE To investigate the difference of IgM and DNA for Mycoplasma pneumoniae in respiratory infected children with different age.METHODS Serum samples were tested with ELISA for IgM and molecular beacon based real-time PCR was used to test M.pneumoniae DNA.RESULTS M.pneumoniae DNA was detected in 40% of the patients and the IgM was positive in 11% at the day of sampling and 30% after 7 days,respectively.The difference was of significance(P
