RESUMO

Objective@#To study the effect of sinus tarsi approach in patients with calcaneus fracture combined with high risk factors of incision complications.@*Methods@#The clinical data of 18 patients with calcaneus fracture combined with high risk factors of incision complications in Jinzhou Center Hospital from July 2015 to July 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. In all patients, combined diabetes mellitus was in 8 cases, long-term smoking history was in 13 cases, combined diabetes mellitus and smoking was in 3 cases. Active and passive smoking were prohibited in hospital, and fasting and postprandial blood glucose were monitored and controlled. In order to reduce swelling, plaster fixation, limb elevation and cold compression were performed. After the blood glucose was stable and local swelling was reduced, surgery was performed via the sinus tarsi approach. After 1 to 2 weeks of postoperative gypsum fixation, the non-weight-bearing function exercise was allowed. After early activities and late loading, the weight-bearing function exercise began at least 12 weeks after surgery.@*Results@#All patients were followed up for 12 to 20 months (mean 14.3 months). No skin necrosis and infection occurred. All fractures healed, and fracture healing time was 11 to 16 weeks, with mean time of 13.5 weeks. The American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Ankle Hindfoot score was used to evaluate the curative effect. Six cases were excellent, 10 cases were good, and 2 cases were passable.@*Conclusions@#Treatment of calcaneal fracture via tarsal sinus approach has little interference with soft tissue. It is especially suitable for the patients with high risk factors of incision complications, which can effectively avoid the occurrence of incision complications. At the same time, the postoperative functional recovery is satisfactory. It is a good approach in patients with calcaneal fracture combined with high risk factors of incision complications.

RESUMO

Exosomes belong to microvesicle structures widely distributed in many body fluids secreted by a variety of living cells, which can carry biological information molecules such as nucleic acids, proteins and lipids derived from parental cells, being the communication carriers among cells. Exosomes play a critical role in cancer progression and participate in tumor cell proliferation, tumor migration, immune escape and angiogenesis. In hematologic system, exosomes involve in the crosstalk between leukemia cells and the surrounding environment, promote the formation of leukemia microenvironment and act as immunomodulators, which will be a potential direction for its therapeutic research. This article reviews the biological characteristics of exosomes and their roles in leukemic tumor microenvironment and immune regulation.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the effect of hypercapnia on hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in rats. Methods Forty-eight adult male SD rats were randomly divided into three groups: sham group (group S), hypoxic ischemic group (group HI) and hypercapnia group (group HP), n=16 in each group.Levine`s model was used to cause hypoxic-ischemic brain injury. In group S, the left common carotid artery was separated without ligation for 1 h, then ventilation with air maintaining the normal levels of PaO2 and PaCO2 for 3 h.In group HI, the left common carotid artery was separated and ligated for 1 h, PaO2 was maintained at 30-49 mm Hg by ventilating with low concentration (11%-13%) O2 for 3 hours.Based on group HI, PaCO2 in group HP was maintain at 60-80 mm Hg by inhalation of mixture gas containing (11%-13%) O2-8%CO2-N2 for 3 hours.FITC-dextran was used to measure the permeability of blood-brain barrier, TUNEL staining were used to observe the changes in the structure of the cerebral cortex. The expressions of aquaporin AQP4 and RECA-1 in cerebral cortex were detected by immunofluorescence and western blot. Results The level of brain water content, permeability of blood brain barrier and AQP4 expression were significantly increased in group HP as compared with group S and group HI (P<0.05).The histopathologic damage,as well as neuronal apoptotic index were aggravated in group HP as compared with group HI (P<0.05).Conclusion Hypercapnia may aggravate the brain damage during severe hypoxic-ischemic brain injury. This may associate with the increased expression AQP4 and the damage of blood-brain barrier.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the effective way to decrease serious complications and to minimize the mortality following transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization (TACE).Methods In 265 liver cancer patients experiencing TACE,the causes of death in 19 (20 days after TACE) were analyzed. Results 9 cases died of liver failure,4 died of the rupture of liver tumors, and 2 died of upper digestive tract bleeding.Gastroduodenal perforation, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, and hyperkalemia resulted in death in one case, respectively. The mortality rates of primary liver cancer and liver metastasis were 9.2% and 1.4%,respectively (P

RESUMO

Objective To establish a simple and rapid method for determination of trace chromium(Ⅵ) in drinking water. Methods In the weak acid solution containing n-butyl alchhol, trace chromium (Ⅵ) in the water connected with diphenylcarbazide and sodium dodecyl sulfate into purplish red ternary iron compound, which could be extracted by chloroform and quantified at wavelength of 550 nm. Results The detection limit was 0.001 mg/L,the RSDs were 1.1%-1.4% and the recovery rate was 96%-113%. Conclusion The method was rapid, simple and the sensitivity and accuracy will meet the requirement of standard test methods for drinking water.
