RESUMO

Adopting the cell model of multilayer spherical symmetry and the circuit analysis, the present paper gives the calculated results of the voltages on each of several parts of malignant Tonsillar B-cells and Jurkat T lymphocytes when the first-order Gaussian pulses at different central frequency apposed on them. The relationship between the central frequency and the transmembrane voltages of plasma membrane is also given. The optimum frequency causing electroporation in nuclear envelope is given as well. The paper discusses the reasons of electroporation in membrane and DNA degradation in nuclear. The work provides a reference for usage of transient bipolar electric pulses in cancer treatment.

RESUMO

A sub-microsecond pulse generation applied for electroporation effects of tumor cell is presented in this paper. The principle of the generator is that the expected pulse waveform is intercepted from the RC discharge curve by controlling the on-off states of two IGBT modules with a synchronous controller. Experimental tests indicate that the generator can produce adjustable pulse waveform parameters with 0.5-3.5kV amplitude, 300-800 ns pulse duration, 1-400Hz repetition frequency rate, and it is suitable for the study of the electroporation effect experiments.

RESUMO

Nuclear envelope voltages of T cells were analyzed with a lumped circuitry for cells in combination with frequency domain power density of Gaussian pulses and monocycle pulses. According to the differences in geometric and electric parameters between normal and malignant T cells, circuitry analysis was performed. Theoretical evaluations indicated that apoptosis of malignant T cells was of feasibility, which could be applied in cancer therapy. The evaluations were in accord with the published experimental findings.

RESUMO

Purpose The aim is to breed a highly productive γ-linolenic acid mutant strain. Methods The original strain Mortierella ramanniance AS 3.3413 was treated by 5-FU,UV,LiCl as mutanting agent. Results A highly productive γ-linolenic acid mutant strain F5 was successfully obtained. The γ-linolenic acid yield of mutant strain F5 was increased by 300% as compared with that of the original strain.Pass-generation test showed that the heredity character of mutant strain F5 was stable. After the optimal medium and culture condition was established, the yield of γ-linolenic acid was up to 1 153.63 mg/L,and was increased by 335.87% as compared with that of the original strain. Conclusion The mutant strain can be used for the industrial production of GLA.
