RESUMO
Objective To investigate the application effect of the sandwich teaching method in the course of Surgical Nursing . Methods Two classes of the students majoring in nursing were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 36 students in each group. The students in the control group received the traditional teaching method, and those in the observation group received the sandwich teaching method . The teaching effect was compared between the two groups by theoretical assessment and questionnaire survey. SPSS 24.0 was used for analysis of variance and the t-test. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly higher scores of course assessment, learning atmosphere, and learning initiative. The observation group also had significantly higher good rates of learning atmosphere and learning initiative than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The sandwich teaching method can significantly improve students' abilities of communication and problem solving, arouse their enthusiasm of learning, and increase the interestingness of classroom, and therefore, it has a practical value in teaching.
RESUMO
Objective To investigate the mechanism of rapamycin inhibiting the differentiation and proliferation of newborn porcine pancreatic adult stem cells, and to explore the therapeutic methods that may effectively reduce the side effects of rapamycin. Method Porcine NPCCs were treated with rapamycin alone or in combination with IGF-Ⅱ, and the caspase-3 and [ 3 H ]-thymidine uptake assays were performed to detect apoptosis and proliferation. The expression of insulin, PDX-1, NeuroD/Beta2, and Foxo1, a downstream transcription factor of IGF-Ⅱ, were analyzed by RT-PCR and Western blot to evaluate the differentiation ability of pancreatic adult stem cells. Results The NPCCs treated with rapamycin inhibited the proliferation ofβ-cells, increased apoptosis, reduced insulin secretion, inhibited the expression of PDX-1 and NeuroD/Beta2, and decreased the expression of IGF-Ⅱ. Foxo1 expression and induction of Foxo1 from the cytoplasm to the nucleus of the ectopic. The combined treatment of rapamycin and IGF-Ⅱcan reduce the side effects of rapamycin, inhibit the decrease ofβ-cell number and insulin content, repair the expression of insulin, PDX-1, NeuroD/Beta2, inhibit Foxo1 expression and intracellular ectopic. Conclusion Aberrant expression of IGF-Ⅱ and Foxol genes is the key inducing factor of rapamycin inhibiting the proliferation and differentiation of NPCCs, and IGF-Ⅱtreatment can effectively reduce the side effects of rapamycin on NPCCs differentiation.
RESUMO
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of deep learning methods to detect subsolid nodules from chest X-ray images. Methods The building, training, and testing of the deep learning model were performed using the research platform developed by Infervision,China. The training dataset consisted of 1 965 chest X-ray images, which contained 85 labeled subsolid nodules and 1 880 solid nodules. Eighty-five subsolid nodules were confirmed by corresponding CT exams. We labeled each X-ray image using the corresponding reconstructed coronal slice from the CT exam as the gold standard, and trained the deep learning model using alternate training. After the training, the model was tested on a different dataset containing 56 subsolid nodules, which were also confirmed by corresponding coronal slices from CT exams. The model results were compared with an experienced radiologist in terms of sensitivity, specificity, and test time. Results Out of the testing dataset that contained 56 subsolid nodules, the deep learning model marked 72 nodules, which consisted of 39 true positives(TP)and 33 false positives(FP).The model took 17 seconds. The human radiologist marked 39 nodules, with 31 TP and 8 FP.The radiologist took 50 minutes and 24 seconds. Conclusions Subsolid nodules are prone to mis-diagnosis by human radiologists. The proposed deep learning model was able to effectively identify subsolid nodules from X-ray images.
RESUMO
Ninety-one patients over 60 year old with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) were selected from our outpatient department. The patients of experimental group uploaded their blood glucose data detected with glucometers, and obtained integrated management called " Mobile Health(M-health)" management such as medicines, diet, exercise from medical groups. The patients of control group got medical care in a traditional way without receiving other interventions. Regular follow-up was conducted in 2 groups every 3 months. The results showed that 3 months later, postprandial 2h plasma glucose in the experimental group was significantly improved compared with that of control group (P<0.05). Six months later, postprandial 2h plasma glucose and HbA1Clevels in the experimental group showed a decline comparing to the baseline, showing a statistical significance compared with control group(P<0.05). These results suggest that smartphone-based telemedicine is helpful of blood glucose control in elderly T2DM patients.
RESUMO
Objective To observe the difference of caveolin-3(CAV3) gene polymorphism between normal people and diabetic patients in Chinese Han population. Methods Exon gene polymorphism in 50 normal people and 50 T2DM patients were detected by PCR-SSCP. Results The cumulative incidence rate of electrophoretic variation in T2DM patients was 48%, while cumulative incidence rate of normal people was 7%(P<0.001). It was proved that in the variant bands, there were base variant. Conclusions The variant base number of CAV3 gene in human T2DM samples are significantly more than the normal which can be preliminary detected by PCR-SSCP. It indicates that CAV3 gene polymorphism may be one of the genetic backgrounds for the occurence of Chinese T2DM.
