ABSTRACT Introduction: The epidemic of COVID-19 has harmed the study and life of obese college students. While new research has pointed out that sports can improve body posture and alleviate psychological problems related to obesity. Objective: Explore obese college students' motivation to play sports and the effects of physical training during COVID-19. Methods: 100 obese college students were selected for the aerobic exercise intervention. Functional and biological indicators were analyzed before and after the experiment. Results: Body shape index, body fat content index, and sports quality index showed expressive changes. The average waist circumference decreased from 99.389 cm to 91.233 cm, an average loss of 8 cm; the average body fat was reduced from 34.644 kg to 30.492 kg after training, with an average decrease of 4 kg; vital capacity increased from 4,416.465 ml before training to 4968.085 ml after the intervention, with an average increase of 500 ml. Conclusion: It can be observed that aerobic exercise helps obese college students to improve their sports motivation, with positive impacts on mental health. The encouragement of sports and engagement in physical exercise tend to strengthen healthy habits, ensuring a better quality of life for college students. RESUMO Introdução: A epidemia da COVID-19 teve um impacto negativo no estudo e na vida dos estudantes universitários obesos. Novas pesquisas apontaram que o esporte pode melhorar a postura corporal e aliviar problemas psicológicos, incluindo aqueles relacionados à obesidade. Objetivo: Explorar a motivação dos estudantes universitários obesos na prática de esportes e os efeitos do treinamento físico durante a COVID-19. Métodos: 100 estudantes universitários obesos foram selecionados para a intervenção com exercícios aeróbicos. Indicadores funcionais e biológicos foram analisados antes e depois do experimento. Resultados: O índice de forma corporal, índice de conteúdo de gordura corporal e índice de qualidade esportiva apresentaram alterações expressivas. A circunferência média da cintura diminuiu de 99,389 cm para 91,233 cm, com perda média de 8 cm; a gordura corporal média foi reduzida de 34,644 kg para 30,492 kg após o treinamento, com uma diminuição média de 4 kg; a capacidade vital elevou-se de 4.416,465 ml antes do treinamento para 4968,085 ml após a intervenção, com um aumento médio de 500 ml. Conclusão: Pode-se observar que o exercício aeróbico auxilia os estudantes universitários obesos a melhorarem a sua motivação esportiva, com impactos positivos na saúde mental. O estimulo ao esporte e o engajamento pelo exercício físico tendem a fortalecer os hábitos saudáveis garantindo uma melhor qualidade de vida aos universitários. Resumen Introducción: La epidemia de COVID-19 ha tenido un impacto negativo en el estudio y la vida de los universitarios obesos. Nuevas investigaciones han señalado que el deporte puede mejorar la postura corporal y aliviar problemas psicológicos, incluidos los relacionados con la obesidad. Objetivo: Explorar la motivación de los estudiantes universitarios obesos para practicar deporte y los efectos del entrenamiento físico durante el COVID-19. Métodos: Se seleccionaron 100 estudiantes universitarios obesos para una intervención de ejercicio aeróbico. Se analizaron indicadores funcionales y biológicos antes y después del experimento. Resultados: El índice de forma corporal, el índice de contenido de grasa corporal y el índice de calidad deportiva mostraron cambios expresivos. El perímetro medio de la cintura disminuyó de 99,389 cm a 91,233 cm, con una pérdida media de 8 cm; la grasa corporal media se redujo de 34,644 kg a 30,492 kg tras el entrenamiento, con una disminución media de 4 kg; la capacidad vital aumentó de 4.416,465 ml antes del entrenamiento a 4.968,085 ml después de la intervención, con un aumento medio de 500 ml. Conclusión: Se puede observar que el ejercicio aeróbico ayuda a los estudiantes universitarios obesos a mejorar su motivación deportiva, con repercusiones positivas en la salud mental. La estimulación del deporte y el compromiso con el ejercicio físico tienden a reforzar los hábitos saludables garantizando una mejor calidad de vida a los estudiantes universitarios. Objective@#To analyze the occurrence and epidemiological characteristics of acute poisoning caused by Coriaria sinica maxdim in Guizhou Province during 2015 to 2020, and to provide scientific basis for prevention of Coriaria sinica maxim poisoning.@*Methods@#A total of 176 cases of Coriaria sinica maxim poisoning were reported in Guizhou Province during 2015 to 2020, with all of the 505 affected were children and adolescents under 16 years old. No death was reported. Poisoning caused by Coriaria sinica maxim was most commonly reported in the year of 2020, with 97 reported incidents and 292 poisonings. Poisoning incidents were most freqently reported in the mature stage of Coriariasinica fruit during April to June, with 153 cases and 437 poisoning cases reported in May. The top three areas reporting Coriaria sinica maxim poisoning included Bijie, Anshun and Zunyi City, with the number of reported eventws being 57, 27, and 27, and poisoned children and adolescents of 160, 90, and 73. Most of the affected children were from rural areas. The median incubation period was 2 hours, and the primary clinical symptoms included vomiting( 93.66 %), nausea(58.02%) and abdominal pain(38.42%).@*Conclusion@#A large number of Coriaria sinica maxim poisoning incidents occur due to unsupervised access to Coriaria sinica maxim among rural children. The publicity and education of children, especially for rural left behind children, should be strengthened to reduce the incidence of Coriaria sinica maxim poisoning.

Objective@#To analyze the clinical effect of flexible fiber splint on traumatized permanent teeth with horizontal root fractures and to provide the basis for clinical treatment.@*Methods@#The case data of 54 permanent root anterior teeth with horizontal root fractures were collected. Patients with affected teeth were followed for 1 to 2 years to analyze the root fractures. The preservation rate and pulp survival rate were analyzed, and further analysis was performed on the effects of the root fracture location (cervical 1/3, Mid-root, apical 1/3), root development stage (mature permanent teeth, young permanent teeth), dislocation of the coronal fragment (<1 mm, 1 mm, > 1 mm) on root fracture healing and dental pulp survival. @*Results @# A total of 54 teeth with root fractures were treated according to the International Dental Trauma Association Treatment Guidelines. After the application of flexible fiber splint fixation, the tooth preservation rate was 90.7%, and the pulp survival rate was 75.9%, the hard tissues healing rate was 61.1%(33/54). There were no significant differences in the locations of root fractures, the developmental stages of the roots, or the degrees of dislocation of coronal fragment on the types of root fracture healing or dental pulp survival (P > 0.05). @*Conclusion@#The flexible fiber splint has a wide range of indications. Except for affected teeth with the root fracture located above the alveolar crest, other types of horizontal root fractures in anterior teeth can be treated with flexible fiber splint fixation and can achieve a good prognosis.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To evaluate the role of exogenous normal lymph (ENL) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI) in rats. METHODS: ALI was induced by the jugular vein injection of LPS (iv, 15 mg/kg) in rats of the LPS and LPS+ENL groups within 15 min, then, ENL without cell components (5 ml/kg) was infused at the speed of 0.5 ml per minute in the LPS+ENL group, the same amount of saline was administered in the LPS group. The rats in the sham group received the same surgical procedure and saline. The histomorphology and the levels of P-selectin, intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), myeloperoxidase (MPO) in pulmonary tissue were assessed. RESULTS: LPS induced pulmonary injury as well as increased the wet/dry weight ratio (W/D) and the levels of P-selectin, ICAM-1, and MPO in pulmonary tissues. These deleterious effects of LPS were significantly ameliorated by ENL treatment. CONCLUSION: Exogenous normal lymph could markedly alleviate the acute lung injury induced by lipopolysaccharide, and its effects might be related to lessening the adhesion molecules. .

In adipose tissue of rats on long-term high fat diet, the inflammatory changes the roles of angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) in pimelitis and insulin resistance (IR) were observed. IR rat model was established by feeding high calorie and high fat diet. The change in insulin sensitivity was detected by euglycemic-hyperinsulinemic clamp technique 8 weeks after intervention by valsartan. The expression levels of CD68 and MCP-1 mRNA and proteins in adipose tissue were examined by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry respectively. The parameters of blood glucose, insulin and blood lipid were analyzed. The results showed that in high fat diet group intra-abdominal obesity developed, the content of visceral fat and the number of inflammatory cells in local adipose tissue were significantly increased (p<0.01), the levels of serum triglyceride, free fatty acids and fasting serum insulin were markedly increased, the insulin sensitivity was significantly lowered (p<0.01), and the expression of CD68 and MCP-1 was significantly increased as compared with control group (P<0.01). In ARB interventional group, the content of visceral fat, the number of inflammatory cells and the expression of CD68 and MCP-1 in local adipose tissue were significantly reduced (all P<0.01), but the insulin sensitivity was significantly enhanced (P<0.01) as compared with high fat diet group. There were pimelitis and IR in rats with obesity induced by long-term high calorie and high fat diet. The ARB can significantly inhibit the infiltration of macrophages and the expression of MCP-1 in adipose tissue, thereby attenuating the inflammation and improving IR in rats.

Cultivated six-rowed naked barley (Hordeum vulgare ssp. hexastichon var. nudum Hsü) is the oldest cultivated barley in China. We used 35 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers selected from seven barley linkage groups to study the genetic diversity, geographical differentiation and evolutionary relationships among 65 H. vulgare ssp. hexastichon landrace accessions collected from the Qinghai-Tibet plateau of China, 25 accessions from Tibet (TB), 20 from Qinghai (QH) and 20 from Ganzi (GZ) prefecture in Sichuan province. At the 35 SSR loci we identified 248 alleles among the 65 accessions, 119 (47.98 percent) of the alleles being common alleles. We also found that the TB accessions possessed 47 private alleles, about 1.5 times more than the 31 private alleles found in the QH accessions and about 5 times more than 9 private alleles found in the GZ accessions. Generally, the TB accessions showed significantly higher genetic diversity than either the QH or GZ accessions whereas no significant difference in genetic diversity was found between the QH and GZ accessions. Partitioning analysis of genetic diversity showed that about 81 percent of the total variation was due to within-subgroup diversity and about 19 percent was clearly accounted for by geographical differentiation among the three subgroups. The distributions of alleles for most loci (71.4 percent) were significantly different among the three subgroups and geographical differentiation could be found according to the distribution of SSR alleles. Cluster analysis indicated that most of the accessions could be clustered into groups which basically coincided with their geographical distribution. These results suggest that Tibet might be a center of genetic diversity for cultivated barley, the cultivated six-rowed naked barley on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau of China may have evolved in Tibet and spread to Qinghai and then to Ganzi prefecture of Sichuan province.
