RESUMO

Objective To develop and evaluate the Quality of Life Instruments for Chronic Diseases -Osteoarthritis ( QLICD-OA). Methods The QLICD-OA was evaluated by testing 140 in-patients with Osteoarthritis. The statistical methods used included correlation analysis, factor analysis, paired t test and Generalizability coefficient. Results The rest-retest reliability γ of QLICD-OA was 0.91, Cronbach’s α for overall scale was 0.98 and Generalizability coefficient was 0.94. Correlation and factor analysis demonstrated good construct validity. After treatment, statistically significant scores were found in the tested group for Specific module and total instrument. Conclusions The QLICD-OA has good validity, reliability and responsiveness. The QLICD-OA may serve as the QOL measurement scale for patients with Osteoarthritis in China.

RESUMO

Arthralgia is a common syndrome of joint and rheumatoid disease.Inquiry has significant value in diagnosis of joint disease.By thoroughly elaborative inquiry,we can obtain main information and made the primary diagnosis for most patients with arthralgia.Nevertheless it is much more difficult for the beginners to do inquiry considering the complex display and the numerous arthrosis.Inquiry of the following five main points may help the beginners to acquire the techniques quickly:(1)Time,degree of urgency and remote cause;(2)The numbers and location of arthritis affected;(3)Region appearance and joint function;(4)Simultaneous phenomenon;(5)Informations of diagnose and treat before.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the expression and im plication of cell-cycle related factors(Cyclin D1,CDK4,P16 MTS1 and PRb)in condyloma acuminatum(CA).Methods The expression and distribution of cyclin D1,CDK4,P16 MTS1 and PRb were detected by immunohisto chemical technique streptavidin peroxidase(SP)in 27cases of HPV6/11positive CA that were confirmed by PCR and 10cases of norm al skins(foreskins).Results①Cyclin D1was not expressed in both normal skin and lesions of CA.②The intensity of expression of CDK4was 2.19in the basal cells in the lesions of CA,which was significantly weaker than that in normal skin(4.8,P

RESUMO

Objective To determine the susceptibility of yeasts and to explore the antifungal m echanismof Lisea cubeba oil,so as to provide evidence for the development of antifungal medicinal herbs.Methods The minimuminhibitory concentrations(MIC)of Lisea cubeba oil and fluconazole were determined by broth microdilution method according to the National Com mittee on Clinical Laboratory Standards(NCCLS)reference method for broth dilution antifungal susceptibility testing of yeasts.Ultra-structur al changes of C.krusei were observed by electron microscopy before and after Lisea cubeba oil treatment.Results Five previously identified quality control(QC)strains(Candida albicans,Candida tropical is,Candida glabrata,Candida parapsilosis,Candida krusei)were susceptible to Lisea cubeba oil,their MICs were 14.14?3.64?g /mL,23.22?2.85?g /mL,31.24?2.88?g /mL,76.19?4.40?g /mL,28.30?2.54?g /mL,respectively.After treatmen t with Lisea cubeba oil the mor-phology and ultrastructure of Candida krusei showed obvious changes:their cell wall and cytoplasmic membrane ruptured;intracellar components dissolved;organellae swollen and di ssolved.There were no changes observed in the morphology and ultrastructure of C.krusei treated with fluconazole.Conclusions The data indicate that Lisea cubeba oil has antifungal effect not only on C.albican and other medically important Candida spp.,but also on fluconazole resistant isolates such as C.krusei and thus has great clinical importan ce.The antifungal mechanismof Lisea cubeba oil may be that the structure of cell w all and cell membrane of C.krusei being inhibited.
