RESUMO

Immunotherapy has become a global focus in cancer clinical practice and scientific research. In the past two years, PD-1\PD-L1 and CTLA-4 inhibitors, especially Nivolumab, Pembrolizumab, Atezolizumab and Lpilimumab, have been used in non-small cell lung cancer, colon cancer. Promising results have been obtained in malignancies such as melanoma and urinary tract cancer. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history in China. Modulating immune checkpoints has certain advantages in treating malignant tumors, and it has shown good efficacy in improving its adverse events. This article reviews the role of traditional Chinese medicine in regulating immune checkpoints and improving adverse reactions and its application prospects in immunomodulatory treatment.

RESUMO

Objective:To improve the therapeutic regimen for mantle cell lymphoma,we investigated the efficacy and safety of adding a BTK inhibitor to a regimen including rituximab, bendamustine, cytarabine, and prednisone to treat patients with mantle cell lymphoma(MCL).Methods:Twenty-six patients newly diagnosed with MCL who were admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from March 2021 to November 2023 were treated with a regimen of rituximab, bendamustine, cytarabine and prednisone combined with a BTK inhibitor, and the efficacy and adverse effects of this regiment were retrospectively analyzed. Results:The median age of the 26 newly dia-gnosed MCL patients was 59(41-72)years.The cohort included 22 males and 4 females, and the median follow-up time was 12(3-28)months.The overall response rate(ORR)was 92.3%and the complete response rate(CRR)was 88.5%.Median progression-free survival(PFS)and median overall survival(OS)endpoints were not achieved, with a 1-year PFS rate of 81.25%and a 1-year OS rate of 92.3%.A bet-ter PFS was achieved in the low mantle cell lymphoma International Prognostic Index(MIPI)score(0-3 points)group than in the high MIPI score(4-11 points)group(P=0.020).PFS was better in the group without B symptoms than in the group with B symptoms(P=0.002).PFS was better in the classical group than in the pleomorphic-blastoid subtype group(P=0.009).The main adverse effects were lymphopenia and thrombocytopenia. No treatment-related serious adverse events were observed during the follow-up period. Conclusions:The regimen of rituximab, bendamustine, cytarabine, and prednisone in combination with BTK inhibitors is safe and effective for the treatment of newly dia-gnosed patients with MCL.

RESUMO

Major depressive disorder (MDD) causes great decrements in health and quality of life with increments in healthcare costs, but the causes and pathogenesis of depression remain largely unknown, which greatly prevent its early detection and effective treatment. With the advancement of neuroimaging approaches, numerous functional and structural alterations in the brain have been detected in MDD and more recently attempts have been made to apply these findings to clinical practice. In this review, we provide an updated summary of the progress in translational application of psychoradiological findings in MDD with a specified focus on potential clinical usage. The foreseeable clinical applications for different MRI modalities were introduced according to their role in disorder classification, subtyping, and prediction. While evidence of cerebral structural and functional changes associated with MDD classification and subtyping was heterogeneous and/or sparse, the ACC and hippocampus have been consistently suggested to be important biomarkers in predicting treatment selection and treatment response. These findings underlined the potential utility of brain biomarkers for clinical practice.

RESUMO

Endogenous adult neural stem cells are closely related to the normal physiological functions of the brain and many neurodegenerative diseases. Neurons are affected by factors such as extracellular microenvironment and intracellular signaling. In recent years, some specific signaling pathways have been found that affect the occurrence of neural stem cells in adult neural networks, including proliferation, differentiation, maturation, migration, and integration with host functions. In this paper, we summarize the signals and their molecular mechanisms, including the related signaling pathways, neurotrophic factors, neurotransmitters, intracellular transcription factors and epigenetic regulation of neuronal differentiation from both the extracellular and intracellular aspects, providing basic theoretical support for the treatment of central nervous system diseases through neural stem cells approach.
