Effect of varicocelectomy on spermatogenesis in infertile men due to varicocele

Varicocelectomy has been performed for twenty infertile men with varicocele and without any other cause that may contribute to infertility. The results point out that patients with preoperative spermatic count above 1 million/cc have a good prognosis, while patients with preopcrativc count below 1 million/cc are not expected to improve. Factors that may contribute to this result are discussed
